I have recently been introduced to Ms. Durand’s books and have enjoyed them very much. This is an emotional story and will really pull at your heartstrings. The characters are all wonderful and endearing and you can’t help but fall in love with them. Ian and Taylor divorced after the passing of their daughter. Years later he has need to contact her, and Taylor has a secret that just may change their lives. It seems like they may just get a second chance after all. This is a beautiful story full of emotion, forgiveness, and second chances. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

A couple facing the worst tragedy – their young baby dies shortly after birth – and both are too young and too grief stricken to help each other and drift apart.
5 years and a divorce later, they meet again and Ian finds out that he has a son. To do right by his son as well as hoping for a second chance with Taylor he pressures her to marry him again. She agrees, but learning to trust again does not come easy.
The story is full of flashbacks, so that the reader can better understand the emotions both have to work with.
An interesting book, more of the human interest genre than really a romantic story. Still, an interesting, well-written book.

A wellwritten and fastpaced book that I enjoyed a lot. The storyline is great and so are the characters.

The loss of a child is devastating is so many unexpected ways. The death of their daughter Reese left Taylor and Ian shattered
Instead of standing by her and working through the grief, Ian left Taylor, never once seeing her face to face
The son he never met was a big shock five years later
Can they have a chance as a family, or is more tragedy on the way?
Intense drama and second chances
Ian and Taylor had gotten divorced because their marriage fell apart after their premature daughter died. Now a few years later Ian has asked to meet with her and she has a secret that he definitely won’t like. It will change their lives as they know it when Ian finds out the truth.

I have read a few books by this author and so far, this is easily the best book, I LOVED it. The story drew me in, and the characters have depth and appear real. There is so much emotion in this book at one point I shed a tear as I was reading this. This is an absolutely brilliant book, it’s fairly short so easy to read in one sitting which is great as I for one couldn’t put it down.
