Love isn’t supposed to be an addiction. It isn’t supposed to leave you bleeding.Kona pushed, Keira pulled, and in their wake, they left behind destruction. She sacrificed everything for him.It wasn’t enough. But the wounds of the past can never be completely forgotten and still the flame remains, slumbers between the pleasure of yesterday and the thought of what might have been. Now, sixteen years … of what might have been.
Now, sixteen years later, Keira returns home to bury the mother who betrayed her, just as Kona tries to hold onto what remains of his NFL career with the New Orleans Steamers. Across the crowded bustle of a busy French Market, their paths collide, conjuring forgotten memories of a consuming touch, skin on skin, and the still smoldering fire that begs to be rekindled.
When Kona realizes the trifecta of betrayal—his, Keira’s and those lies told to keep them apart—his life is irrevocably changed and he once again takes Keira down with him into the fire that threatens to ignite them both.

I read Thin Love in preparation for the release of The Last Love of Luka Hale.
I don’t think I have adequate words in my vocabulary to tell you the greatness that is between these pages . I couldn’t get enough. I felt this story to the bottom of my soul. It was both heartbreaking and uplifting. Everything from the good and the bad was emotional, beautiful and sometimes tragic and dark. It’s not an easy journey, but worth every single hour I invested.
I am very excited to continue reading this world very soon!

THIN LOVE is the first instalment Eden Butler’s contemporary, adult THIN LOVE erotic, romance series. This is Kona Hale, and Keira Riley’s story line.
NOTE: Due to the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kona and Keira) following two time lines, THIN LOVE focuses on the co-dependant, toxic relationship between Kona Hale, and Keira Riley. College sweethearts, Kona and Keira’s love affair weathers the pain of jealousy, anger, abuse and betrayal.
Kona’s reputation as a man-whore precedes his introduction to our story line heroine, a reputation marred by bouts of aggression, fury, and physical confrontation. Kona Hale is a spoiled college student whose only aspiration is to make it big as a professional football player but Kona must first get past his new English partner, a partner who gives as good as she gets. Keira Riley wants nothing to do with the charismatic Kona Hale but something about Kona attracts Keira like a moth to a flame. A tumultuous and acrimonious love-hate relationship ensues until everyone’s life spiral out of control. From interfering, racist and controlling parents to the ultimate betrayal and loss, Keira and Kona’s relationship implodes leaving heart break and hatred in the wake. Fast forward sixteen years wherein Kona will come face to face with his past, a past he never knew existed but is quickly following in his own footsteps.
THIN LOVE is a dark and emotional story; an intense, dramatic and oft-times difficult tale that follows the poisonous love between two people whose worlds are about to collide. Eden Butler pulls the reader into a raw and gritty love story; a cautionary and thought provoking tale of chaos and catastrophe. There are numerous issues of repetitiveness but if you can get past the frequent use of the same word(s), the tragedy will unfold.
Okay, Wow?
How have I not read this before and why am I only just discovering it now?? I’ve obviously been living under a rock.
Holy shit… This was brilliant, beyond brilliant actually! I am fairly new to Eden, having discovered her through Chelle Bliss and now I am hooked, and devastated that I hadn’t found this book sooner!
Eden has talent, I knew this from the moment I read the books she collaborated with Chelle on, but now I am finally reading some of her solo work? She is absolutely outstanding.
I’m not going to dive in deep, but I will say that this story holds a whole lot of heat, angst, passion, love, and even a little anger and hate… It weaves together an unforgettable story that I couldn’t put down.
The relationship between Keira and Kona was one that I sure as hell will not be forgetting. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me. from love to hate and everything in between. The sexual tension and the tension in general with these two was pulsating and deliciously addictive and the angst and push and pull between the two was enough to drive me crazy. I love angst. I am an angst whore. It’s not a dark read, but in no way was it light either, it held the perfect measure and balance of emotion and depth, it wasn’t overwhelming but it was heavy enough and deep enough to hold my attention from start to finish… To sum it up? It was PERFECTION. In every sense of the word.
The characters and the plot only thickened as I got deeper into this storyline and before I knew it I was flipping to the last page and cursing out the author that I had come to the end of the book. I hadn’t wanted it to end. It was one of those stories that I could lose myself in for hours and not even realize it, and I did just that. This will definitely be a re-read kind of book, and I am intrigued to start even more of this authors solo books!
6 Stars!
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read!
I had read Thick Love first, and I fell in love. Now, after reading Thin Love, I cannot wait to read more from this author.
Beautiful characters with such depth – and I cannot wait for the third installment!!
Great book a must read emotional rollarcoaster read!
I love how it took you through young love to later in life.
Different take on love from my norm. Good easy read
Loved this story!!
Eden Butler is now one of my favorite “go-to” Authors for a guaranteed enjoyable romance read. Thank you for the “free read” and introducing me to this author!
Thin Love was AMAZING!! Loved the characters Kona & Keira, so much passion and intensity, it leaps off the page. Beware, this is a tear fest book, sobbing and ugly crying will be in your future reading their story. I can’t wait to start the next book Thick Love.
I almost quit reading this book several times because it seemed really far fetched. Also, the meddling mothers and the main characters’ tempers combined with huge amounts of jumping to the wrong conclusions based on pride and insecurity…exhausting.
It was a good story, but the misspelled words, missing words, and mixed tenses within sentences were distracting.
great book!
It begins with a single mother of a teenager. Flashes back to college approximately 16 years before. Smart, somewhat reclusive, good girl, and an arrogant, hunky, football player get paired up for a project winch leads to a relationship.
There relationship is volatile, toxic, unhealthy, but extremely passionate too.
The feelings are deep; love, anger, fear, sadness, more anger. But too many obstacles are in their path for a HEA until 16 years later.
I took off one star for the “inconsistencies” in time and little differences between the beginning of the book and the return after the flashback.
Really good love story! A bit twisted but shows growth and lover over time.
