Why would a collector of ancient American artifacts hand over his prized pieces to a historian and then shoot himself in the head? And why does an ancient Templar scroll in his possession refer to Jesus as “The Thief on the Cross?”The answers place historian Cameron Thorne at the dangerous intersection of secret American history and modern geopolitical intrigue. Following clues contained in … contained in ancient American artifacts and medieval European masterpieces, Cameron and his fiancée Amanda Spencer race to uncover the true secrets of early Christianity before a splinter group of religious zealots can silence them forever.
Based on actual historical artifacts, and illustrated.
Publishers Weekly says of the author, “BRODY DOES A TERRIFIC JOB OF WRAPPING HIS RESEARCH IN A FAST-PACED THRILL RIDE.”
This is a stand-alone novel with recurring characters. These books can be read in any order.
WARNING: Not recommended for readers with strong religious beliefs.

This book incorporates a lot of local legend into the plot.
Really liked the three main characters. Love that there were a lot of facts incorporated into the stories. Enjoyed the entire series.
In Thief on the Cross, the author turns once again to the theme of the Templars in America. He discloses a volatile mixture which includes early European (pre-Columbian) contact with North America, the Templar Order, Free Masonry, and goddess worship. Brody claims not to be out to change people’s beliefs or conceptions of long standing. He does includes pictures of the artifacts mentioned in the book to allow the reader to draw his or her own conclusions. His characters, however, seem pretty convinved of the rightness of their cause, sufficiently so as to consider murder of the husband and wife heros of the story. How the couple overcomes the numerous hazards set for them by Mormons, Masons, and goddess-worshippers makes for entertaining reading, but not books for folks who do not tolerate qujestions which challenge their belief structure.
This book is not for the closed minded. I disagree with things in it, but found it very informative as to what others think
Great tale of possible things and interesting interpretations of history. Enjoyed the story.
The plot is good, characters as well. A BIG STRETCH of real historical places and artifacts.

I really enjoyed the spinning of the story weaving together actual relics and history with speculation. The characters are entertaining and the research thorough. Great descriptions and believability.
Excellent read, kept my interest and I enjoyed the action and story twists.
Both interesting and fun to read. Kept my interest throughout. A fast read.
definately a narrow readership Not for every one didn’t like the logic
This was an interesting historical novel that has a lot of religious content that I found compelling. If you are devoutly religious you may find this material disturbing.
Interesting story.
Unconfessional view about Jesus. Big twist. Don’t want to say more.
This story is just as action packed as the first book; filled with twists and turns throughout. A thought provoking plot, leaving the reader with plenty to think about. Highly recommend. Looking forward to the next book.
Kept me on pins and needles. Fascinating reading
