Well thought out and a good read.
Much better than the sequels!
I loved this book! I hated to reach the end. Loved the characters. I highly recommend this book.
Really enjoyed. You don’t realize what people in that era had to endure. Read it in one day.
I loved reading this accounting of pioneering and family. It pulled me in and I’m now in the second book of the trilogy. Love the strong woman lead.
I really hard a hard time putting this book aside. The hardships people endured was unbelievable at times. And yet they continued westward to settle our country. An inspiring read
Hated the book to end. Very interesting and not at all predictable.

Love this author! Written in the form of Sarah’s journal, it was so real. I immediately bought her second book, “Sarah’s Quilt!” Her ability to combine history, action, and just everyday thoughts each character exhibited! Cant’ recommend enough, especially to those who love historical fiction.
These Is My Words moved me in a way few books have. The book is written like a journal, whose writer Sarah pours out her honest observations, emotions, and experiences as she, her mother and siblings caravan west by covered wagon across the American prairie to homestead in Arizona. Her education has been gained primarily on her own owing to her …
I enjoyed every twist and turn, every happy and heart-wrenching moment, and the best part of reading this book was being able to picture every single page as I read it. Character and settings beautifully described. Loved it – didn’t want it to be over!
