I love a good Cinderella-retell novel, and this one checked all the boxes! Delightful characters, a fun set-up and pay off, and relate-able situations make this a 5/5! I’ve already purchased the second in series and look forward to more #bff fun!
I loved this adorable retelling of Cinderella, and I especially loved seeing a diverse cast! Their sweet romance blossomed over online messaging (love that trope) and gave the retelling a nice twist. I blew through this and look forward to reading more from this author 🙂
Loved the book! Think Jesse is a sweetheart! A must read!
Sweet and funny. A great escape
This book hooked me in within minutes. I love modern fairy tale retellings. This one was a lot like the movie A Cinderella Story, I personally love that movie, but I felt like this book wasn’t original because of its similarities. Overall, I really did enjoy this book and I fell in love with the characters.
This is my first book by this author and i have to say i am absolutely hooked on this series. Once i started I could not put down and had to find out what would happen next with Ella and her online friend/crush. I was rooting for them the entire time. It was just amazing and i have no doubt the rest of this series will be just as great!!!
A cute take on Cinderella. Very entertaining. A great story for young adults. You get a great ending but would have loved to see more of the relationship.
I Love This Book so mach one Of my fave books I cud not put it down
Cinderella fairytale retelling.
Your typical evil stepmom and stepsisters, along with your fairytale prince, comes a twist on modern day high school where a nerdy girl and your high school basketball star athlete connect.
While reading this story, I felt a connection between this story and that of The Sisterhood of The traveling Pants as well as the movie A Cinderella Story.
I felt the need to read this story in one sitting. It kept me intrigued and I enjoyed meeting all the characters. My favorite being of course Ella, Jesse, Rey and Ms. Moreau. My least favorite character was Sophia.
While reading this story I felt the emotional sensitivities of Ella’s character, as well as her group of new friends, which brought me into the story and left me wanting to know more. If this turns into a series I would love to read more on each of the girl friends stories.

Very cute retelling of Cinderella. The author did a great job of remembering those high school and teen emotions. She did a great job with the cliques. There was some well written emotions. It was fun to see the characters grow and become who they were meant to be.
Oh my gosh I love this book so much I look forward to reading more by this author it’s a amazing fun read highly recommend reading it if love cinderella story stuff and movies
Another fun take on the Cinderella story. It never gets old when it’s done well!
Too predictable
It was a cute and modern retelling of the Cinderella story.
This was a most satisfying modern retelling of the Cinderella story. The author really gets teenagers, too.
A light read. I liked that most everyone learned to not be so stereotypical in their judgments of other people. They learned to get to know others & treat them with respect whether they were popular or considered different.
I enjoyed the resetting of this story into more modern times. It was entertaining with a happy ending!
This book was super cliche and not very good. The writing was very poor and the story didn’t make much sense. It was entertaining though and I read it pretty quickly.
This is a new author to me but I’m totally hooked. I’ll be reading the whole series.
OK read, but only OK. If you need a poolside book, this is the one for you.
