Rory Sullivan, a renowned artisan woodworker, has no plans to fall in love anytime soon. Especially not with Zara Mirren, who shares a converted warehouse space with him in Bar Harbor, Maine. While she is a brilliant maker¿the eyeglasses frames she designs are practically works of art¿everything else about her drives him bonkers. The way she¿s always whistling cheesy pop songs off-key. The way … way her half-drunk cups of coffee litter every available countertop.

Another absolute Bella Andre Sullivan winner of a book. The love and characterizations of each Sullivan finding their romance makes all these books a joy to read. This book revolves around the “Maine” Sullivans, and Rory in particular. One of the 7 children of Beth and Ethan. He and Zara were great characters with lots of healing to do for both of them. Rory was going to keep his heart locked up forever, and Zara felt as if she didn’t deserve happiness. However put the two of them together and add “Chocolate cake” and the romance bloomed! Bella Sullivan is a one click author for me, and she never disappoints.
Another great Bella Andre book! Rory and Zara are such fun and loving characters. They both feel terrible guilt about the past. Baby Ruby of course stole the scenes. This book flowed so smoothly. I was so engrossed by this book. The raw beauty of Maine comes alive through Bella Andre’s books
I love, love, love There Goes My Heart. From the sweet dedication (to me and to all the girls with glasses) all the way to the hopeful Epilogue. Bella’s books, especially the Sullivans, are always happy reads for me. These stories of romantic love mixed with love for family strike a chord in my heart.
Zara and Rory are fantastic as sniping co-tenants turned fake dating to real lovers. Their back-and-forth dialogues made me smile the entire time I was reading. I love that they’re both creative. I absolutely adore their unwavering support of one another in their work, against other people who’ve hurt them, and in working through their internal conflicts. I love it that there wasn’t much push and pull. When Rory declared his love for Zara, she did not play hard-to-get and told him right away she loved him back. I also appreciated that the “antagonists” are not truly bad people.
With twenty-four books in the series, the Sullivans continue to enthrall. I am excited to read the next five in the Maine spin-off. Hopefully, Bella considers an Asian partner for one of them. How about Brandon who’s coming from Singapore? Would really love to see some multicultural pairings in the future.
Rory and Zara both had relationship issues with previous girl/boyfriends. They were both wary of going into another relationship! Rory and Zara were like Oil and Water. They shared art studio space. Zara created beautiful hand crafted eye glass frames. Rory created magic with his hands In woodworking. Zara’s sister was getting married to Zara’s former boyfriend. Rory suggested that he be her pretend boyfriend for the engagement party. They both felt that “zing” when they held hands, kissed and even just standing next to each other. The heat index would climb every minute. That evening, they ended up in one hotel room 🙂 They agreed to “try out” being a couple for 1 week. Zara was creating a list of everything they will hate about each other Saturday. The magical date of their breakup. Rory was creating a list of everything that was right when they were together.
In every chapter you saw the walls around their hearts start to crumble. From Rory showing up at the right time when Zara just needed a friend to Zara telling Rory that his ex’s injuries were not his fault and he needed to stop blaming him.
I loved the happy ever after! They were a couple that were meant to be together. The walls around their hearts finally crumbled enough to see who they had in front of them was the perfect person!
Once again, Bella did a great job. One of the things I love about her books is how she mentions characters from past books. For instance, he was making a chess set for one of Smith Sullivan’s movies. You never know when a past name would pop up. I love how you can see the hope chest. You can see the cat eyeglasses. She writes so perfectly that you can just picture everything in front of you.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Zara + Rory share spaces in a converted warehouse.
They love to bicker with each other.
Zara’s sister is getting married to her ex-boyfriend, and Zara is having a little pity party for herself.
Does she really want to go alone to the engagement party ?
Enter Rory Sullivan, the bane of her existence.
He offered to be her plus one to the engagement party.
Zara is reluctant, but she agrees in the end. Why not ?
Close proximity leads to both of them taking a chance at each other.
Start with a simple kiss, then it blew into full attraction.
Who knew that they might end up liking each other ?
Totally loved this sweet and charming read.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Bella Andre has written a masterpiece! There goes my heart is a beautifully written book. This is the story of Rory and Zara. A true love story that will simply take your breath away.
Zara just got shocking news .. her stepsister is engaged to her ex-boyfriend. It’s bad enough that she caught them together, now they are getting married and want to her to go to there engagement party. Rory finds her drowning her sorrows with a bottle and offers to go with her to the engagement party. Wait did he just agree to go with her … yup, ok no problem he can do this right ? That what he keeps telling himself. The only problem with this plan is the pretend plan starts to feel real. Will it be the end of disaster or something wonderful ?
Another great Sullivan book by Bella Andre! I love how sensitive Rory is to others needs. He is also not bad to look at. I felt bad for Zara and how her ex boyfriend and step sister treated her. Even though they are insensitive to Zara’s feelings, Zara is still loyal to her step sister. Since her step sister is a beauty and always takes Zara’s boyfriends, Zara thinks she is plain. I loved how Rory and Zara got on each other’s nerves. But, was it because they couldn’t stand each other, or because they both had a connection? This is a feel good love story that I strongly encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Bella Andra has done it again. This story is about hard working and passionate Artist. When two people have different paths meet and have command passion, it’s creates a future Love Story. This was dedicated to all those woman that wear glasses.
I loved Rory and Zara, both down to earth, funny and talented, making a living on their craft. They also share brokenness that they individually have yet to fully deal/heal from the traumas that they have experienced. They are guarded and have stayed in a place of limbo in their lives not allowing the full potential of their dreams to manifest, delving only in their craft. Rory and Zara work in the same building and rub each other the wrong way, so it seems, their banter trying to outdo each other is funny. When Zara has to face her stepsister and ex-boyfriend at their engagement party, Rory steps up and offers to be Zara’s date, setting into motion the beginning of a relationship with an end date…As Zara is becoming Rory’s biggest supporter she is able to break his wall revealing his truth to enable him to be free of the self imposed relationship exile. While Rory is there for Zara and has tried to show her her truth, the perception of the 14yr old Zara runs very deep. Is the tenacity of Rory and his feelings for Zara enough to break down her walls. Bella always delivers. Family reigns.
Love this enemies to lovers trope.
Rory and Zara both work as artists in different mediums in the same warehouse. She detests his love of rock music and he has issues with her not following his rules. He finds her in a weak moment and agrees to be her date to a family function.
I loved this story and the way these two discover that they are the only ones that understand the other.
I fell in love with yet another Bella Andre book. Rory and Zara are a great couple. I love that they have fun with their teasing banter. And how can anyone not fall in love with Beth Sullivan. Everyone wants a mom like her. My only criticism is that it was over tooo quickly and now I have to wait for the next great love story in this series.
This was such a sweet story (with plenty of heat). If you didn’t read the first story in the series you may think things progress too quickly between Rory and Zara–however I nice foundation was built in the first book. Rory is convinced that he isn’t made for relationships and doesn’t want to settle for anything less than the same magic he sees between his parents. Zara wants someone to love her for herself. Both Rory and Zara are carrying baggage from the past that weighs then down but together they help the other let it go. This story was a tender relationship that had plenty of fun and heat. Perfect beach read.
I love this book. Rory and Zara were amazing together. I loved the chemistry they had together. I also liked how they helped each other come out of the darkness and helped each other see they deserved love and happiness. They are a fun couple with their constant bantering back an forth. A great read.
THERE GOES MY HEART…Belle Andre
Rory.successful in his career as an artist, but not in long time relationships. A mishap and he only will allow one night stands now. Then Zara comes into his life, and sparks fly, she works next to him in the warehouse, also as an artist. His pattern for life, has been turned upside down. The banter that is tossed back and forth . They both have a past history, and of them getting past that and letting love happen. Another good story to read about the Sullivans. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
I loved every single moment of There Goes My Heart written by Bella Andre. Zara and Rory’s beautiful story was a wonderful addition to the amazing Sullivan series. I was pulled in from page one and didn’t want to put my kindle down until I finished their story. This was one of the most beautiful and emotional stories I’ve ever read from Bella Andre and it is now my new favorite.
So Rory and Zara have always had a bit of a tumultuous relationship, though I wouldn’t call them actual enemies, they really weren’t friends before this story started. While both artists, they seemed to rub each other the wrong way most of the time. However, when Zara learns her stepsister is now engaged to her ex, Rory steps up to go as her pretend boyfriend to the engagement party. I knew in my heart there was something special between these two besides animosity. I loved they each seemed to open up to one another about things in their pasts neither had really shared with anyone else. Rory continued to blame himself for his ex having an accident after they broke up, and Zara still blames herself for her mom’s death. I loved they each could so easily see how the other wasn’t in the wrong, yet it required much introspection to see it about themself.
Rory and Zara had the best chemistry. They connected so well from the moment they shared their first kiss. OMG it only got hotter from there. I loved they pretty much wanted to spend all their time together after. I honestly fell in love with them as a couple right along with them realizing they had fallen in love. I loved that Rory’s family accepted Zara so quickly into their circle. I won’t lie; I bawled like a baby when Zara was with Rory’s mom and got so emotional about her own mom not being alive. So freaking emotional!!! Add in what Rory does to show Zara how much he loves her, and I was seriously crying like a baby. I loved this beautiful and emotional ride.
There Goes My Heart was an absolutely amazing story! Bella Andre has been an auto-buy author for me from the moment I read the very first book in the Sullivan series, and I’ve never missed another book. Ms. Andre writes beautiful romances that pull at my heart every single time. While there are always sweet moments between the couples in her books, there is also plenty of heat as well. There Goes My Heart is another winner from Bella Andre and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Rory and Zara have been butting heads for a year now. Both have offices in the warehouse building in town and clash like oil and water. Zara thinks Rory is full of himself, with groupies following him around like lost puppies. While she thinks his furniture is pretty great, she’d never say that to his face. She keeps her distance from him and when she can’t, she makes sure her snarky is on full charge.
Rory thinks Zara is interesting, but a huge annoying pain in this behind. She constantly parks in his space and one morning he goes to confront her about it yet again, only to find her drowning her sorrows at 9am. He knows he shouldn’t get involved but something about Zara draws him in. Before he knows it, he’s offered to be her temporary boyfriend so she can attend an engagement party, an engagement party that happens to involve said stepsister and ex boyfriend, yikes.
Rory and Zara both go into this psuedo relationship with an end game in place. All that is shot to hell though after their first kiss. Neither can believe that they have this much attraction to each other after a year of snarky banter between them. Making plans to just see where this attraction goes leads both to think they may have what it takes for a long term relationship.
There wasn’t much conflict in this story for my personal tastes. Though Zara has a little angst on her end, I didn’t feel the powerful punch of emotions that I normally do in a Bella Andre novel. There were also a few issues that I don’t know got corrected in final product, I’m a stickler for continuity issues. For those reasons, I can only give 4 stars to this latest installment in the Sullivan series. While it in no way dissuades me from wanting to be a Sullivan family member myself, ha, it just wasn’t one of my favorites. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader copy without expectations. These Maine Sullivans have many more layers to peel away and I look forward to ready many more stories about them. And as a girl with glasses, yay for a main heroine with blurry visions and in the way spectacles.
“There Goes My Heart” (Maine Sullivans Book 2/ The Sullivans Book 20) by Bella Andre is a fantastic read. I loved Rory and Zara’s story. Another wonderful addition to The Sullivans series. This story is packed with humor, passion, romance, family, interesting and entertaining characters, and more. I loved catching up with more of the Sullivans. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this amazing family. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, family, entertaining characters, and series.
Wow!!
This is such an excellent book!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
It’s a heartwarming, funny, sexy
& moving romance.
Rory & Zara, are perfect together.
This story really pulled all my heartstrings.
It is a wonderfully-written
book, with beautifully developed characters
& has some incredible & touching scenes.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I literally could not put this book down. Hubby wanted to watch a movie and I was on the last chapter and stated NO, I have to finish the book. I have loved every Sullivan book I have read and just love the way the author writes but this one was so much fun, exciting, sexy and where do I find a Rory Sullivan for myself? Talk about your dream man…I really don’t think there is anyone out there that can top him. The author did a great job in developing the two main characters Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirre. Their back and forth teasing each other was so cute. I love the way they both had issues to deal with and found a way to deal with them with the help of each other. The Sullivan family is so loving and the way everyone wishes their family was. The story line was simple; both had issues, didn’t want or feel they should be loved, they do something for the week-end and in the end realize the feelings they both had for each other was more than a week-end. It might be a simple plot but the author makes every page interesting, fun and wonderful. Yes, this is one of my top favorite contemporary romance books I’ve read. Well, maybe not since I feel the same way about the other Sullivan family books. You can read this as a standalone and once you read it, you’ll be reading all the others. I can’t wait for more of the Sullivans.
