Rory Sullivan, a renowned artisan woodworker, has no plans to fall in love anytime soon. Especially not with Zara Mirren, who shares a converted warehouse space with him in Bar Harbor, Maine. While she is a brilliant maker¿the eyeglasses frames she designs are practically works of art¿everything else about her drives him bonkers. The way she¿s always whistling cheesy pop songs off-key. The way … way her half-drunk cups of coffee litter every available countertop.

The Sullivans are back. Rory is a furniture maker and Zara designs eye glass frames. They both have work space in the same building. And they aren’t friends. It seems that they enjoy irritating each other. When Zara learns her stepsister is engaged to her ex boyfriend she has a meltdown. And Rory just happens to be around when it happens. When she passes out from drinking he can’t find out from her where she lives so he takes her to his house to sleep it off. When he finds out what happened he suggests they go to the engagement party together. If they go as a couple no one will suspect that Zara is affected by the news. A one time thing only. After that they go their separate ways. So she agrees. But what happens when one night is not enough? Can they overcome their adversity to each other to find out?
As usual another great book
Rory Sullivan and Zara Mirren have sworn off love but the sparks between them are off the charts. Rory trying to help Zara is the spark that sets things in motion between these two. Loved reading their story!
OMG I adore Rory & Zara!! I love the pretend couple turns real trope! It’s always so much fun to watch two people who clearly have chemistry and passion make a deal to pretend to be a couple and then it doesn’t take long before they realize they are not faking it anymore! Rory and Zara are both such great characters who both have past relationships that messed them up. They are both creative and passionate about their work. As they work together to face their pasts, they see just how much of a glorious future they can have with each other and how those past events led them to each other! This story, as with all of Bella’s stories, is a wonderful blend of all the good stuff I look for in a romance. Sweet, funny, full of heartwarming moments, sexy and always full of so much love and family. From start to finish, this is a winner!!!
Oh my god this is the sweetest story ever! I cannot believe how awesome the characters are. Their unlikely relationship makes them rather perfect for one another. They compliment one another. I don’t want to give the story away but unlikely lovers and overcoming the past makes for one amazing story.
Wow, this book started out steamy and never stopped! Rory and Zara are the best, snarky banter is their MO. Funny how snark can mean so much more when you least expect it. Being her fake boyfriend to attend her stepsister & her ex boyfriends engagement party, is what Rory offers. However, he has no idea what is about to hit him right over the head, neither is Zara! Sparks fly when they are together, seriously steamy sparks. Dark pasts have a way of stepping in and knocking you down without warning. Both have things in their past, that make it hard to move forward. Can they heal each other with the love they seem to be finding? Or will darkness drag the happy ever after under? So hot, probably the hottest of all the books so far! Check it out today!
Loved it
Love this series!

There goes my heart was the second book in Bella Andre’s Maine Sullivans series. It was the twentieth Sullivan book overall.
Rory Sullivan was one of seven siblings. He was an artist; a furniture maker. He was gorgeous, funny and artistic. We learned in book one, Your Love Is Mine, that he had a nemesis where he shared work space with other artists. Enter Zara.
Zara Mirren was a quirky, funny, sassy eye glass creator. She turned wearing glasses into a form of art. She loved bantering with Rory and getting under his skin with her antics.
I loved the hint of them in the previous book, their zing bantering and enjoyed getting to know them. They each had baggage that had to be addressed and Andre slowly peeled back the layers.
It was well written and well developed and of course contained all of the Maine Sullivan siblings for us to continue get to know as their stories will unfold. It was also a quick, sweet and sexy read. It wasn’t an exciting or action packed read – but more of a slow and steady plot. With two snarky personalities, I expected just a bit more; however, as a Sullivan series fan, I still enjoyed it. For me, it was 3.5 stars, which rounded up to a 4 on this rating site.
There are five more siblings to go and I can’t wait to see who Andre reveals next.
I definitely recommend reading this book—characters are wonderful and very believable. I love all of Bella Andre’s books, she is a very talented author!
The generous and empathetic Sullivan heart has our Hero, Rory, volunteering to be the pretend boyfriend of our heroine, Zara, a colleague he doesn’t even particularly “like” (or does he?)! The Bella Andre formula of pairing loyal and kind-hearted male Sullivans with strong heroines successfully plays out in this story as well. Even with this familiar pretend boyfriend trope, the author weaves in interesting side relationships involving our protagonists to create another unique and enjoyable story. Loved it!
OMG! Reading Rory and Zara’s story was so much fun! The constant sniping at each other was a hoot. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a gal that speaks her mind, designs eyewear, and gives back as good as she gets? Rory, since he has been at odds with Zara for a long time. Put them together in a situation that Rory has agreed to, as he helps her out, and the sparks begin to fly! The Sullivan family gets another HEA as love finds Rory and Zara! The Sullivan books by Bella Andre are all standalone reads for all ages, and I would like to thank her PA for gifting me “There Goes My Heart”. My opinion is voluntary and my own. This is mine 5 Stars!
The Sullivan romances are some of my favorites. I love the strong family bonds filled with love, respect and devotion that carry over to each book. Rory Sullivan is a strong, confident and talented man with some vulnerabilities that make him irresponsible. Zara, the equally talented, fierce and protective woman has her own issues that she can’t seem to release herself from and that makes Rory want hold on to her forever. This beautiful romance is fun with the wit and charm and sexy with its attraction and chemistry. And, it is tender and gentle with understanding and forgiveness. Have tissues handy!
It was a great summer read.
Such a good read, I looked for everything else she wrote so I could continue to enjoy her stories.
I think all I need to say is that I hate to see the book end! Belle Andre’s books make me feel good. I almost expect to see the characters as I am out and about.
Always enjoy reading Bella Andre.
Love all of Belle Andre’s books
This was a wonderful story of enemy’s to lovers that captures your heart. Zara struggles with the after affects of her boyfriend cheating with her stepsister, and when she has to go to the a party in their honor she drinks to much and ask Rory to go to the party with her. Rory decides to be her knight in shining armor on the table get flipped on both of them and they can’t fight the attraction. Bella does such a great job of telling a story that you can’t put down.
Girls with glasses rule!
Loving families are created and brought to life by Bella Andre. Most relationships are like a kiddy rollercoaster. There are ups and downs as well as twists and turns. Rory and Zara have close working quarters that create an atmosphere of playfulness and one line zingers. They each believe they barely tolerate one another, while others see their banter having underlying sexual tension. Until Rory helps Zara by being her date to a family event. The more time they spend together the more sparks began to fly. As a couple they question if love is enough to help people navigate the emotional baggage that is brought into a relationship. Zara demonstrates that our life experiences shape our personalities and can sometimes get in the way of true happiness. Rory has seen his parents relationship and what true love really looks like. The Maine Sullivan’s love as fiercely as the other branches of the family tree. Bella Andre continues to share the stories of this amazing family with all of us. Thank you for another outstanding story!
