There hasn’t ever been a time when Scott Callahan hadn’t looked at his big brother’s best friend Bailey and not known that he was the man of his dreams. Especially when he made sure the bullies stayed away from him until he graduated from high school. Unfortunately, the man is straight…or so he thought, but after a less than innocent situation appears to drive the man from their small town, … Scott’s not too sure. Scott’s brother Ollie is pissed his friend has up and left and demands Scott not bother him again. The promise that wasn’t hard to agree to since the man hadn’t been back to their hometown in years, was becoming much more difficult.Harold Bailey is known for being many things…a hater of his first name, the one to call when there is trouble and being big and tall, but being a coward isn’t one of them. It only took a night with Scott to change a whole lot of things he knew about himself and his desires. It took eight years for him to make it back to his hometown and to Scott and he wants to explore what he walked away from, but it appears that ship has sailed…or has it.

Scott and Bailey’s story is one of self-discovery and learning to be honest with one’s self. The guys work hard to get there and I loved their story.
I loved Scott and Bailey! Following their story and their ups and downs. Would love to see Ollie get his own story. As well as honey. Great characters.
this book was really hot! he always had a thing for his brothers best friend. little did he know his brothers best friend felt the same way. now years later hes back and could finally have a chance to change things. read to find out what happens.
Running from oneself isn’t possible.
Amazing how many people can be hurt along the way. Being lucky enough to have a second chance is never certain. The explicit steamy details of actually having only one true love shouldn’t ever have to be so complicated.
Wow this story was hot and the twists and turns made it more so. Bailey and Scott’s connection is so intense, you get drawn right in. As their bond deepens you can’t help but become more vested. Really a good read.
A sweet and sexy push and pull second chance romance. I loved the road each character took to discover what they’ve been searching for all along.
I really wanted to like this story. But alas the lack of depth with the characters relationships, the excluding of details when they finally do get together, and the overall feel of the characters just didn’t do it for me.
Scott is supposed to have matured and gained confidence in the last 8 years since Bailey left, yet when Bailey came back he seemed to just be a whinny ninny who couldn’t decide want he wanted with life. I mean lets be honest, if you tell the guy he’s free to gain experience with others while you give give him the experience he asks for, you can’t turn around and play the jealous lover when you literally push him into a date and into another man’s arms.
Bailey has come to terms that he may just be gay and has decided since getting out of the military to not hide his wants and he doesn’t want to live anymore waiting. Well that’s fine and dandy except he keeps allowing Scott to put off him telling people what he wants. This shouldn’t be the case. He should’ve grown a pair and just came out to tell Ollie he wanted Scott when they were younger and wants him now. Instead he allows him to set him up on a date.
Speaking of Ollie… this character had to be the most immature and insecure character of them all. He refuses to forgive people and instead holds grudges or makes them make promises (ultimatums in my opinion) that is a bunch of bs. He’s never held his brothers sexual preference over his head, but when it comes to his best friend, Scott is apparently not allowed to go there. Then at the end he’s all of a sudden bi?!? WTF!!
What could’ve also helped this book better was to actually get to read about Scott and Bailey during their two weeks of relationship bliss or even how their relationship is going after telling Ollie about them. Instead the author concentrates on their sexual interludes and the petty jealous conversations between characters.
