FRIENDSHIP…Lady Theodora Montgomery departed Miss Emmeline’s School of Education and Decorum for Ladies of Outstanding Quality to attend her first London Season–her three dearest friends by her side. With her sharp wit and skill on the archery field, Theo is far more interested in winning a large purse prize than securing a husband. But when she is unmasked on the tourney grounds, her face … grounds, her face exposed to all, she fears her identity and days spent gallivanting around London will cause not only her undoing, but the downfall of her friends as well.
LOYALTY…
AND HONOR ABOVE ALL.
With Theodora’s future–and that of her friends–in jeopardy, will she agree to a marriage devoid of affection, or risk everything for the man who won her heart?

Lady Archers take the prize as the most unique story line! I enjoyed the romance and the angst. The author was wonderfully inventive but the editor was missing a few miss used words, sorry but that always distracts me from the beauty of the plot.
03/13/2021 I loved the archery theme of “Theodora” (nook) and chuckled, at times, over the clandestine nature of women competing in sports. The interaction between Alistair and Theo is heartwarming as it leads to love. The unfortunate roadblock to their HEA is an unscrupulous man. But, determined, honorable and intelligent, Alistair comes up with a brilliant plan. I would actually rate this story at 4-1/2 stars.
Enjoyable read great way to spend time with your feet up with a good book
I wasn’t particularly happy with this story. I loved the idea and the synopsis, but the story didn’t come off as quite right. Adeline came across as a bully from the whole story. Georgie and Josie were her followers. Theo was never really shown to fit in with them, she was more the “outsider”. And yet we’re to believe they’re all the best of friends? I liked the actual story, there’s no way Theo would be that stupid to keep taking chances with her life.
I liked this book. Theodore was an interesting character. I wasn’t even aware young ladies did archery in those days. The friend’s big brother love interest was great. I really liked him. It was typical in many respects but enjoyable!
enjoyable read
Interesting story line about empowered women.
A little redundant in parts. Did not have to repeat feelings expressed and explained once before. A little less explanation and a bit more action would have been better.
Wonderful story.
A very interesting, original book. I like that responsible Mr. Alistair respects and has an attraction to Lady Theo, recognizing her respectability and skills. I found his sister to be annoying enough not to want to read a sequel.
I enjoy rogue characters and Theodora is certainly one! Great read and has some twists and turns that were unexpected! Enjoyable read!
Strong, funny female heroine, and humour with the leading male as well. I liked that the author tackles a sport that would have been far more common in the period, and is much less common today (except for the seasonal bow hunters, but that is perhaps a little different than the archery discussed.) It was nice to have a female with a head for calculations who wasn’t ashamed to demonstrate it in a useful fashion, (albeit likely unrealistic in practice.)
This book was very entertaining and enjoyable. Love the Theo character and her friends and how ahead of their time. Thank you for the wonderful book.
an enjoyable read great amount of history
Gentle story
Loved the young women in this story fighting for their beliefs and the man trying to protect them.
Young Alister is overloaded with responsibility, and with a war with his sister, he can do without tangling with his sisters friends, or that’s what he thinks, but that’s where the only good answers are to come from.
Theo is a wonderful character. She and her friends keep you on edge.
Great characters and storyline.
The lady archers creed series is fun reading. Friendship, loyalty, skill and handsome men and beautiful ladies find their way in regency England. Loved that the crowd reaction trumped society’s rules when Theo clearly is the best archer in the competition!
