Tatum Knox was the disaster I should have walked away from.
Her ruined reputation. Her failing business. Her chaotic life.
She hated me at first sight and yet intrigued me all at the same time.
I was only supposed to be there six months.
I was supposed to use that time to make amends for things I’d done wrong.
Instead I fell in love with her.

They say it’s better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved at all. Does that hold true when the love is based on a lie to begin with?

4 Star review of Then You Happened by K Bromberg
Whenever I see the name Kristy Bromberg I know I am in for an entertaining read and Then You Happened was no exception.
From the first to the last chapter, I was riveted to the roller coaster story that Ms. Bromberg wove. I loved the characters of Tatum (Tate) Knox and Jack Sutton although at times I wanted to scream in frustration.
Tate, is struggling to keep her business afloat and is desperate for help. Ignored by the local towns people, her ranch is in dire need of a manager.
As I have come to expect from her books, this author has delivered strong characters written with depth and an ending that will leave you shaking your head.
This is a story that will challenge you, it is about taking a chance , of looking deep inside and learning to trust again, not only others but yourself.
Despite being total opposites, there is an attraction that sizzles between Jack and Tate. The only issue is whether or not they should act on it, since becoming involved will complicate both their lives.
Will the complications of their pasts put in jeopardy their chance at a relationship? A story of love, secrets, forgiveness, deception and lies and was an enjoyable read.
This was one rough ride,
By no means in this a easy, straightforward love story, so much heartbreak and anger.
Tate and Jack are one of those couples that have so much chemistry sizzling between them that when they get together it becomes explosive.
Their relationship is anything but easy but it’s written so well and seamless like any K Bromberg book.
Jack was easy to like, he’s determined and got this aura round him that could have anyone loving him.
Tate, she was a little harder to like, she’s got so much anger and all these walls built up around her but all things considering you can’t blame her.
I really liked this book, it was a good read! If your a big K Bromberg fan you’ll love this.
It was intense and full of life. I definitely recommend this book, and this author.
Then You Happened is amazing. K. Bromberg knows how to bring the sexy in a cowboy. You will love this one. Jack is rugged and on a mission. One that you will see change once he meets Tate. Tate is just trying to keep her head above water and proving she doesn’t need her parents help. Tate is a strong and feisty. You understand why she has her trust issues. You feel for her on how the town treats her. She didn’t see Jack coming. I love how well they finally work together once Tate lets him in. You get why Jack holds things back. I love the chemistry between Tate and Jack. I couldn’t put this one down. I didn’t want it to end and my heart was so happy when I finished. K. Bromberg did a fantastic job with this one.
4.5 Stars for Then You Happened
This is a great enemies to lovers romance set in a small town full of noisy residents who are more than happy to gossip about the newly widowed Tate and her new sexy ranch manager Jack. I have to be honest this book took me a few chapters to really get into but I’m so glad I persevered because as this couple got to know each other I found myself wanting more from Jack and Tate. On the face of it this couple should not be attracted to each other, Jack is only at the ranch to help Tate after her husband passed away and he is hiding secrets that could destroy a friendship let alone a romance …….
This book really touched me on so many levels once I got into the plot I found I couldn’t put this book down, I needed to know what happened when the secrets came out. This is an emotional beautifully written love story, it’s sweet yet sexy with some gut-twisting, heartbreaking moments, I loved the characters and the witty banter they shared and I ended up wanting more from this small town and it’s residents.
6 STAR REVIEW
The story held and gripped me from start to finish! It is poignant, a lesson in growth, heartfelt and utterly consuming. I truly loved it and it breathed new life into me and hope for the future. It is so much more than a romance. It is a transformative path that demonstrates that the strength of bonds forged in trauma and loyalty transcend all. It is a story of duplicity, survival, forgiveness of yourself and the healing power of unconditional love.
Reading a well written book is like peeling the pages back on your soul, opening your heart and breathing the words. You become someone else, you feel their pain, their joy, their struggles and the love they experience. You share the character’s experiences and sometimes they mirror your own. When that happens, it feels like you are sharing the same soul. Filling your lungs, breathing and growing together. You become one with the character. Author K. Bromberg masterfully breathes life into Then You Happened and into me.
Tate loves hard and Fletcher lied harder. She gave up everything for him and he threw away and squandered all that they had. What do you do when you lose yourself to someone else? To their lies, deception and treachery? What happens when you are then left all alone to clean up the disaster left in his wake? The disaster that you were hidden from, the one that you never knew existed? Even worse, what happens when the whole town is against you and wants you gone?
“After him she’ll never be the same.”
“her life will forever be changed”
Or will it?

He doesn’t want to tame her wild…he wants to drown in it and capture it, channel it and let it loose. He is everything that she never knew she wanted or needed. He has secrets…will they break them?

To the broken…there is healing. Tatum will show you how to find your strength and Jack can demonstrate that with faith and boundaries you can find love again. Know your worth, decide you’re boundaries, but first read this beautifully woven story and find yourself submerged in the best of second chance romance that you can read.
You can never be lonely while reading a great book. Bravo to Author K. Bromberg, this is a story that will stay with me forever and touch so many people!
While this can be considered a slow burn love story it had so many twists and turns it felt like I was on a roller coaster that certainly packed a punch. Tatum needs help with her failing horse ranch that her late husband left her with in more debt than profit. Jack Sutton is the ranch hand who wants to help Tatum revitalize the ranch for personal reasons. When the two connect the romance is heart warming but the secrets that are revealed are heart breaking. Simply put this is not your average love story but a story that also includes redemption and new beginnings. Definitely worth the time to become invested in the characters and storyline.
Sweet heartwarming romance. I fell in love with both Tate and Jack. Both lost someone and felt the pressure to make amends, overcome hurt feelings and succeed against all odds. I loved the slow burn, the sizzle of attraction as they struggle to not fall for one another. The story was entertaining with twists of what all had happened slowly unfold and you gain an understanding of how deep the betrayal runs. Just the right amount of angst and steamy romance…my favorite combination.
ARC received for an honest review
Oooy, for the first time ever, I contemplated DNFing a Kristy Bromberg book, and that hurt my heart.
I enjoyed the prologue and was looking forward to where Tate’s story was going to go.
And then we had the first 1/3 of the book, that was so repetitive and drawn out that it could have been all done in a couple of chapeters. It was at this stage that I first thought of giving up.
I put it aside, but it then took me more than a day to pick up the book again, as I knew I was going to struggle. However, I persevered, and it did get better.
I wanted to love Tate and Jack, but there just was not enough to get me there. Tate came across as whiney and stubborn, and ugh boy does she overreact. And all Jack’s goodness and leading-man-ness got lost in all the overreactions and superfluous words.
Once the story got going, it fell into a state of predictability. I knew where the story was going to go well before it got there, and that also took out the enjoyment of the story. And got me to the eye rolling stage.
I did finish reading this one, but only just.
Tatum Knox has had to fight and struggle to hold on to the horse breeding farm she and her deceased husband purchased. He left her in debt so deep she wasn’t sure she could ever dig out and the townspeople hated her. Jack Sutton answered her ad for a ranch manager. Will he be able to help her save her home and maybe her heart too?
I love K Bromberg’s style. She writes with so much emotion. Tate and Jack’s story will break your heart and give you some unexpected surprises. I was pulled in from the very beginning and didn’t want to put it down. Always looking forward to my next K Bromberg read!
(3.9 stars) Tatum Knox needs help with her struggling ranch after the passing of her husband. That’s where Jack Sutton comes in although she doesn’t want his help. They could not be more different if they tried and clash at first but sometimes we don’t know what we need in life until it shows up unexpectedly. They both have their own struggles and secrets in life that they’re dealing with but just maybe they can be what the other needs. This is a touching and sometimes emotional enemies to lovers romance that will have you swooning for a cowboy! There is a also big woah moment you may or may not see coming but you will need to read this for yourself to find out what it is. “Time fades all scars. Even the ones we can’t see.” This was a little slower for me to get into but once I did I enjoyed it. Told in dual POV
4.5 stars
K. Bromberg does not take the easy path with this book, which makes me admire her all the more.
For one thing, Tatum is a flawed heroine. She digs her heels in and fights against admitting her mistakes until she absolutely must. She isn’t always likable. She occasionally succumbs to self-pity, and she’s too frequently motivated by fear.
Jack is equally as flawed. He comes across as a hero, riding into town to save Tatum and her ranch, but he, too, has his own motivations, although his are more of obligation than fear. He hides who he is, both from himself and from others.
When the two of them get together, you know that they have found in each other something they need fundamentally, even as they fight against it. And fight they do.
You read this book somewhat nervously because you know Kristy Bromberg is going to blow up the fragile stability her couple finds, and when it happens, you will feel it as deeply as her characters. That’s one of the things I appreciate most about Bromberg’s books: she makes you FEEL. You feel everything, the good and the bad.
I kind of want to buy a horse farm now, and for that I blame Kristy Bromberg.
I loved this story! Tate was so afraid to trust people, and Jack was hiding trying to figure her out. I loved that both of them had to bend a little to make things work. I absolutely loved these characters and I don’t want to say goodbye to them yet. I loved the ending though. I was crying and sighing through it. Wow! I hate that I’m finished. This book was everything. The author may have struggled to get it out, but wow it was a great book! I haven’t read a cowboy romance in a while, but this reminded me why I loved them so much!
5 Wild stars! K. Bromberg is a “sure thing” when it comes to storytelling. I devour and love all her reads as I did with Then You Happened. I absolutely loved this slow burn, enemies to lovers storyline. The chemistry between Jack and Tate is electric. Their banter and push and pull will keep you turning the page wanting more. The emotions you feel for these characters during their struggles and victories will have you root for them. Another fantastic read and yet again when you read the last word you’re happy and satisfied, it’s a bittersweet feeling because you’ll be sad that’s it’s over. I highly recommend this read.
K. Bromberg is at the top of her game with this book! So many emotions bled through the pages of Then You Happened. There were moments that I felt as raw as Tate did. What she has been put through is absolutely devastating. Her trust has been shattered and when Jack comes into her life, she is angry and hostile. Much to her chagrin, Jack brings out the fight in her. Tate finally starts to really live for herself again! It is a beautiful journey. I can’t say enough about Then You Happened. This book is simply incredible! Jack is sexy, especially when he pushed Tate to see herself through his eyes. The way he fights for her is EVERYTHING!
The fire that Tatum has is unstoppable. She is one fierce, bold woman who is trying to make it on her own after her husband has left her struggling to keep the ranch afloat. Jack Sutton burst onto the scene like a bucking bronc wanting to help her out. There is lust, hope, betrayal, love and redemption all tuck into this book and makes you fall in love with both Tatum and Jack. A must read.
What a story! I’m not sure how to review because you need to read this and discover every little secret, every heartbreak, and every victory as it comes along. The hero and heroine in this story, Jack and Tate, are forces to reckon with. They bicker and fight and flirt. They work hard, and they love hard even if neither want to. Their journey as it unfolds from the past to present is not an easy one, for either of them. You feel every emotion that Tate and Jack go through. That’s the beauty of Ms. Bromberg’s genius writing. She makes you feel. And she gives you hope. This is an emotional love story that has you cheering Tate and Jack on every step they take. And Jack…what can I say? Is he perfect? Nope, but man does he give it his all for the things and people he believes in. Another hit from this perfectly talented author.
