Welcome to Angel Falls, a small-town so delightful even enemies can’‘t help falling in love in this “emotional, heartwarming romance you can’‘t put down.” (Lori Wilde, New York Times bestselling author) Angel Falls is the last place Sara Langdon wants to be. Her hometown may be charming, but it’’s also filled with memories of her “wedding-that-never-was.” Yet Sara’’s grandmother needs her, and … Sara’’s grandmother needs her, and joining her dad at his medical practice gives Sara time to figure out what she wants for her future. But when her first patient turns out to be Colton Walker, the man who sabotaged her wedding, Sara starts to wonder if she’‘ll ever be able to escape her past.
As police chief, Colton Walker is devoted to his small town, and he’’s equally determined to avoid its newest resident. He and Sara have always gotten along like oil and water, and since the bachelor party incident, he’’s her Enemy #1. But after sharing an unexpected–and unexpectedly hot–kiss, Colton starts to wonder if the woman he’’s always fighting with is the one he should be fighting for.

Such a great story!! Sara and Colton are definitely enemies-to-lovers and it was so much fun to watch their relationship change.
Sara doesn’t want anything to do with the man who she holds responsible for messing up her wedding and Colton wants to stay far away for the prim and proper doctor. These two characters are fantastic! Plus there are a whole bunch of great secondary characters that I hope we will be hearing more about in the future!!
I’m in love!! In love with the wonderfully charming small town of Angel Falls and in love with the town’s sexy police chief Colton Walker. Colton and Sara have never really gotten along but he really has no idea why. Sure she’s a little uptight and plans out everything but she’s nice to every one but Colton. OK and she blames him for her fiancee cheating during his bachelor party but she doesn’t know the whole story. Sara isn’t sure coming back to Angel Fall’s was the right move for her. She wants to help her father in his medical practice but he doesn’t want to let go. Then there is Colton and he seems to be everywhere. Getting past her feelings for him won’t be easy but if they are going to be living in the same small town she needs to learn to deal with him.
This is a beautifully written feel good romance and just the beginning of what should be an amazing new series. Can’t wait for the next book and I definitely recommend this one.
3.5 stars
Sarah and Colton have a second chance to rekindle a romance that’s been buried under years of misunderstandings and sharp conversations. This enemies to lovers relationship had its ups and downs, but between their bickering attraction and lightly humorous conversations, Sarah and Colton had me smiling one minute and then wanting to knock heads in the next as they made their way to happy enlightenment! Talk about two stubborn people!
Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I loved the small town charm and close knit family/community ties Liasson has created! An adorably sweet romance with some emotional drama we can all relate to in some way or another, I liked that the drama wasn’t so heavy that it mired the storyline. I am looking forward to further books in this series!
I absolutely loved this book!
Miranda Liasson has done it again!
Angel Falls is an excellent start,
to this new series!! It is a heartfelt,
funny, sexy & emotional story.
A year ago, Sara’s life was in shambles. Two days before her wedding, it was called off. Sara had left town. She’s is back now, to be with her Nonna & to work with her father, in his medical practice. Sara is still angry & will always blame Colton for her wedding being called off. Colton & Sara seem to always clash with each other. He has said some not so nice things to her, over the years.
He is now the police chief of Angel Falls. Sara’s first patient at the hospital, was none other then Colton, the last person she ever wants to see. They run into each other at the pizza parlor. After arguing again, exchanging a few remarks
back & forth, Sara tells Colton,
“I was wrong about you.
Maybe you’re wrong about me too.”
The emotions, & their chemistry pulled me in, & kept me hooked, till the end. You will thoroughly enjoy reading Sara & Colton’s story!
I can not wait to read Book two!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE!!!
Favorite Quotes:
He had one claim to fame: he’d bedded more women than an eighties rock star.
He doesn’t beat children or kill cats. Plus I’m twenty-nine. He’s not perfect, but who is? Maybe he’s as close as I’m going to come.
Don’t ever marry a man who doesn’t look at you like you’re chocolate ice cream…
Life is just too short to hate cake.
My Review:
Regardless of the author, I seem to brace myself when diving into the start any new series with an equal sense of trepidation and anticipation. My response to this sparkling entry was a zealous fist pump and head cheerleader worthy squeal. I needed something fresh and engaging and Sara’s less than confident return to her small-town was just what I needed. The storylines were appealing as well as relevant and relatable, the characters were endearing and realistic, and the writing was pleasantly easy to follow yet craftily observant and amusing, and held my interest throughout. The richly detailed narrative made excellent work of introducing the town and key characters while cunningly laying the groundwork and setting up the series for subsequent installments, and I am eager to schedule a return visit for a family dinner or two at Nonna’s and perhaps some coffee and cake at the Bean. And that’s that.
This is the first Miranda Liasson book I have read, and what a sweet, pleasant surprise it was.
I am a sucker for small town stories, a frenemies to lovers story, a second chance at love story, and Then There Was You had a little bit of it all.
Sara and Colton’s story is sweet, tender and a whole lotta adorable. They have been destined to come together, even if it has taken a lot of years, and oh my I couldnt’ help but be their biggest cheerleader.
Family, douchey exes, so many things that could conspire against them getting their HEA, but fight for it. Even when they are just plain old fighting.
I adored the small town-y vibe to this story, where everyone knows everyone’s business, everyone has everyone’s back.
Wonderful characters, endearing story, I read this book in one afternoon.
I will be going back to read Ms Liasson’s earlier works, and look forward to more of this new-to-me author in the future.
