Welcome to Angel Falls, a small-town so delightful even enemies can’‘t help falling in love in this “emotional, heartwarming romance you can’‘t put down.” (Lori Wilde, New York Times bestselling author) Angel Falls is the last place Sara Langdon wants to be. Her hometown may be charming, but it’’s also filled with memories of her “wedding-that-never-was.” Yet Sara’’s grandmother needs her, and … Sara’’s grandmother needs her, and joining her dad at his medical practice gives Sara time to figure out what she wants for her future. But when her first patient turns out to be Colton Walker, the man who sabotaged her wedding, Sara starts to wonder if she’‘ll ever be able to escape her past.
As police chief, Colton Walker is devoted to his small town, and he’’s equally determined to avoid its newest resident. He and Sara have always gotten along like oil and water, and since the bachelor party incident, he’’s her Enemy #1. But after sharing an unexpected–and unexpectedly hot–kiss, Colton starts to wonder if the woman he’’s always fighting with is the one he should be fighting for.

Delicious romance to read, full of fun and funny moments besides sighing as well. The writer created such a strong tension between the couple that it became palpable and I could feel the attraction that crept between them under my skin.
Sara has a serious problem of rejection thanks to her teenage nerdy-duck-teen phase of school where one of the guys who upset her most was Colton. She willingly accepted the affection and attention of Tagg, a friend of her family and best friend of Colton, but when Tagg abandons her and Colton seems to be the great culprit, she declares war on the guy.
Colton was a troubled teenager and even changing his life, conquering Angel Falls’ population with his position and attention as police chief,he still suffers from a serious inferiority complex. Thanks to the profession, he does not cling to anybody but when the sweet dr. Langdon returns to the city something lights up new and special in his life and scares him a lot, enough fearing to get attached and not to be reciprocated.
I loved the way the writer led the plot lightly and dynamically telling a cute story that made me swallow the book in hours. Even making me pissed off at Colton a few times, making me want to get into the book and spank him, Sara’s softness supplanted everything and also the girl’s grandmother Nonna who pretends to get lost and simply steals the scene at various times of the book.
I did not know this writer so it was a pleasant surprise to fall in love with these characters and I already want the next books of the series. Now I am a big fan.
So pleased Bookbub introduced me to this author. Really enjoying the characters and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
A wonderful book. You just feel good after reading it. Full Disclosure: I won this book but it’s so good I’ll be reading more from this author.
This was such a good book. It was a romantic page turner. I read this book in two days. The more I read it the more I kept rooting for Sara and Colton to get together. This was a love story of opposites attract. I will definitely be on the look out for this authors books at my local book store.
Sara Langdon has returned home to Angel Falls a year after her fiancee broke up with her two days before their wedding. She can’t help but blame his best man Colton for not keeping him on the straight and narrow, instead letting him fall for the girl who jumped out of the cake. Sara is now back after finishing her residency and partners up with her father at his medical practice, while living with her grandmother who has just started showing signs of dementia. When she has to sew Sheriff Colton Walker’s arm closed she has to face her past a little sooner than she’d like. She and Colton have known each other since childhood and have never gotten along, but there was always an underlying tension and now that she’s single, that tension is of the sexual variety.
Then There Was You is your typical enemies to lovers trope and Sara and Colton take their time fighting before they get to the lovers part. It creates a nice tension to their story, but also gives the reader a little time to get to know their pasts and why they always hated each other. Sara’s reason for being back in Angel Falls is a great subplot and humanizes Sara making her more three dimensional. Without dealing with the effects of dementia on a family, as well as learning how to partner with her father in a medical practice I think she would have been just like a lot of other romance heroines, pretty vanilla. Instead we see all that Sara’s got going on in her life, and there is a lot of it! She deals with those problems, while still agonizing over Colton and his behavior towards their budding relationship.
If we had not gotten those family subplots for both Sara and Colton I think I wouldn’t have liked this book as much as I did. There were a few moments between them as a couple that were pretty cliche, but how they dealt with their families, and then each other at the end of the book rounded out their characters and made me like them as a couple. There were a few moments where I wanted to kick Colton in the rear, but that added to the tension in the book very nicely. If you are a fan of Miranda Liasson’s you will love this book- it’s a good start to a brand new series. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for my honest review and it was honest!
This is the first book in Miranda’s new Angel Falls series. Sara is happy to go back home to help her grandma & to work with her father in his practice.
However, her hometown also has unpleasant memories for her-between the wedding that never was & running into Colton Walker who kept teasing her when they were in school together. As Sara settles back into town, she starts spending more time with Colton, even though when she first saw him she was annoyed he was still there. It was fun seeing them re-connect.
Sara comes home to Angel Falls a year after her fiancé Tagg, unceremoniously dumps her two days before her wedding. She has blamed Colton, the Best Man and Angel Falls beloved Police Chief, for not keeping Tagg from sleeping with the bachelor party entertainment. Sara is now working as a doctor in her father’s practice, and is reacquainting herself with the town. As she sees more of Colton, she realizes that he is not the monster she has painted him to be. Thus begins a great enemies to lovers romance. Definitely worth reading.

Then There Was You is book 1 of the new series Angel Falls and a great way to start!
Colton and Sara have been enemies ever since her disaster of a wedding that never took place and she blames Colton her ex fiancé best friend only she doesn’t know the whole story…
Now that Sara has come back to town to help care for her grandmother and join her dad in his medical practice the first patient she has to see is none other than Colton..but with all the old feelings being stirred up and her hate/attraction to Colton can she put the past behind her and open up to the attraction or will she just never let the past go??
What a great enemies to lovers romance! Sara and Colton make the perfect pair. The conflict draws you in and has you rooting for them to find their way into each other’s arms and hearts. The build-up in the story is wonderful, and you won’t be disappointed in the end.
When you pick up a book by Ms. Liasson you are assured you will be reading a story that will touch your hearts, that’s real and will also be thought provoking.
This one centers around Colton and Sarah, two souls that since HS, due to fate seemed to cross paths that were hindered by unexpected circumstances.
It might have seemed like a love hate relationship , but to me , it was more a lack of confidence, self-image and insecurities in both their parts that kept them apart during their teenage years. Hiding behind arrogance and snippy answers , when in fact the feelings ran much deeper.
This is a story about how our experiences as children will affect us as adults. Especially due to the death of a parent or due to abandonment. How sometimes children are forced to become adults, at least in their eyes. Sometimes acting out to hide their pain.
It’s also a story about family. No family is perfect , but in this story, the bond between parents, siblings and grandparents , is shown to be one that is strong. Making them strong not only as individuals, but also as a unit.
In addition, Ms Liasson’s treatment of Alzheimer was touching and very well described.
The plot was engaging and the characters, Colton, Sara, as well as the secondary characters Nonna, Cookie, Gaby etc, were complex and interesting.
Another winner by this very talented author. Can’t wait to read book 2 in this series.
I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Sara Langdon has her doubts about returning home to Angel Falls, it is a place that holds a lot of hurtful memories that she doesn’t really want to drudge up from her past, nor face the man at the center of said memories. But her grandmother has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and needs her help, so that takes priority over her painful past. But once she is in town and settled, the man she thought she’d have to worry about doesn’t seem as important as the one who wrecked her wedding, her nemesis Colton Walker. Every time she turns around he is lurking, and ready to reek havoc on her life… and maybe her heart too!
Colton Walker knows he is not one of Sara Langdon’s favorite people, they have a history riddled with playful torment, arguing, and a incident that ended a wedding… her wedding to be exact. But he is a changed man now, one who is more compassionate, and within minutes of being reunited Sara she takes notice, and the walls between them start to fall away, and the sparks start to fly! But can he really find love with someone who use to belong to his best friend?
Then There Was You is a heartfelt enemies to lovers story that will spawn the feels, curl your toes, and leave you smiling! This was quite an impressive first read, the angsty intense love/hate relationship between Sara and Colton brought on some serious steamy times that had me swooning one moment, and some feisty banter that had me giggling the next. I loved this story and it’s wonderfully crafted stars, it pulled me in within the first few sentences, and completely swallowed me up, it was quite the addictive little tale! If you are looking for a small town romance read riddled with humor and heart than I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it’s sure to treat to you to enjoyable time!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and voluntarily read and reviewed.

Sara wasn’t sure she wanted to return her hometown but when her Nonna was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she knew she had no choice. She left a year ago with her head down and shamed because her fiancé called off the wedding the day before.
Colton has always thought highly of Sara and when she moves back to town, he wants to make a move. The only thing is that Sara blames him for her ex leaving her. Colt’s done a lot of things, but he’s not taking the blame for Tagg’s straying.
As Sara and Colt work out their past issues, they both realize that what you really want may be standing right in front of you but it still takes a lot of time and effort to make it work.

Then There Was You is an enemies-to-lovers, small town romance between the doctor (Sara) and a cop (Colton), so for me, the story had a lot going for it before it even began. As I read the book, I liked the family aspects to the story and the small town setting where everyone knows everyone else and their business. I liked Sara’s struggle to gain her father’s respect in the workplace and the way that Colton serves his community as the local police chief.
But from Sara’s first interaction with Colton, we can feel real animosity and hurt on Sara’s part over the way that Colton treated her in the past and this really stuck with me. So as the story develops and we see Colton is a good guy in the here and now (and he really is a good guy), it took me a long time to warm up to him. Then, just when I start liking Colton, he does something weak and stupid and I was back to disliking him.
Sara and Colton’s road to happiness is a rocky one but it has a satisfying conclusion. Then There Was You is an enjoyable read and has plenty of good elements and romance but my dislike of Colton probably kept me from loving this book as much as I thought I would.

A classic enemies-to-lovers romance that was well-written, realistic and beautifully romantic with a strong sense of family entwined within the story.
Dr. Sara Langdon has returned to her hometown to work alongside her father in his family practice in addition to helping care for her grandmother recently diagnosed with Alzheimers. Unfortunately, her first patient is someone who has been a thorn in her side since she was a young girl – Police Chief Colton Walker. Unfortunate also is the fact that an attraction exists that neither can ignore, so they decide to do the “fling thing”. However, each day draws them in deeper and both are afraid to admit how they feel about each other. The conclusion to the story was definitely sigh-worthy. The author pulled out all the romantic stops and the “cake” scene was just perfect. I would highly recommend this book to fans of the romance genre.
Once upon a time Sara was the ugly duckling. She grew up to be a swan and a doctor. Now she is back in her home town. She is helping take care of her Nona and work for her Dad. Colton was the high school football star. He was the only one who saw the beauty of Sara. Now he is sheriff and leads a lonely life. He is responsible for the town and raising his sister. Old feelings are surfacing but there is such animosity between them, only the truth can set them free. Just as they were getting close, her ex shows up. Back at square one but with one difference. It is Sara’s birthday. Will her wishes come true?
I can’t wait to read about Sara’s other siblings in Angel Falls.
Miranda Liasson is at her best in this book. It’s my favorite of hers so far! If you enjoy small town contemporary romance, you’ll love this book.
Engaging!! One of my favorite genres is enemies to lovers romances and this one was pretty good! I enjoyed the angst and conflict that went on between Colton & Sara and when they finally gave into their feelings it was perfect! This was a new author to me and I WILL be reading checking out her other books!
Beautiful
I received a copy of this book from the author, I was not required to give a favorable review. This was another beautiful story from Miranda. The closeness of the families in this story brought out in this story have feel everything that everyday people in life have to go through. The ups and down. With some many adults having to deal with a family members who are getting older. Sara is dealing with the break up with her ex a year ago and has come home to help take care of Nonna. Colton is the boy who was the town jock in high but now he is Chief of Police and her ex’s friend. But he always stepped aside for his friend now is the chance to show her he is a great guy. I loved it from start to finish.
I was first attracted to this book, by 1. Being written by Ms. Liasson and 2. The unique cover. Then There Was You is the first book in her new, Angel Falls series. Set in Angel Falls, Ohio. I loved both the heroine and hero. Dr. Serafina ‘Sara’ Langdon and small town cop, Colton ‘Colt’ Bentley Walker. I loved the entire Langdon family. Though it did take some time to warm up to Dr. Langdon Sr. ‘Sara’s father. I did though, of course. I really liked Rachel, the Step-Mom. I thought she was a sweetheart. So patient and kind with ‘Gram’. Which earned her extra points in my book. She was so good for the Langdon family. The book deals with Alzheimer’s, with ‘Sara’s ” ‘Gram’, so there are some heavier moment’s in the book. But not overly so. It’s heartwarming. Perfectly balanced with !lightness, humor, love and romance.
I am totally in love with this cover, it’s what pulled me in… but the story, WOW! I absolutely adored this. It was a wonderful story filled with so much heart and love that completely filled me up. Excellent read!
Then There Was You is the 1st book in the Angel Falls Series. This is an emotionally filled story with characters that will melt your heart. You have the boy who loves to irritate/tease the girl throughout H.S. because he likes her, and missed opportunities.
I love Dr. Sara Langdon and Police Chief Colton Walker story. You will laugh, cry, and swoon over their story. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
