It’s been two years since the ink dried on Jenna’s divorce papers, and it’s high time to dive back in.Step one: find a romance-novel-worthy man for a hot holiday fling. How hard could it be?But disastrously bad flirting, a failed honky-tonk hookup, and a mix-up with one of Sunview’s finest have Jenna seriously doubting if this is all worth it. Maybe she’s better off leaving the world of love and … off leaving the world of love and sex to others—or maybe she’s just looking in the wrong place …
If you like hot men in uniform, funny banter, nosy sisters, and a guaranteed HEA, Then Again is the book for you! This is a standalone romantic comedy.

Sylvie Stewart has a way with romantic comedy. She is my go to author when I need a “laugh so hard my belly hurts” read. Sylvie did not let me down with Then again. Poor Jenna has been mourning her divorce for 2 years now. After not so gentle prodding from her sister, she attempts to interact with her hot neighbors. This is where the fun begins. Jenna is easy to relate to and I enjoyed her story. Even though this is part of a series, Then Again is really a stand alone that is not to be overlooked.
Kelsey Navarro has easily become one of my favorite narrators. She has an easy to listen to voice. Kelsey has a way to bring all the characters to life through her narration. She can flow smoothly from character to character, yet keep them always distinct and different. I alwasy look forward to listening to her narration.
What a sweet romance that has you laughing and cheering for these two to find their happy ending after all they have been through. I loved this book and was the perfect escape from real life.
Basically, this story is about a woman who wants a summer fling. The problem is her first date ended her up involved with a drug dealer, and ends up meeting Sam Martinez. The cop who tried to pick her up while she was jogging. The problem is Sam seems like a forever kind of guy. He agrees to her crazy summer fling idea, but what Jenna doesn’t want is for her fall in love again. There are scenes in the typical Sylvie Stewart style that are hilariously funny. There are others that are kind of sad and pathetic. This is because as Jenna’s character is built; we see the difficulty of her moving on with her life. All in all, it is a very good story, just not Sylvie’s best.
The amusing dating adventures of a single mom
Audiobook edition: 4 stars overall, 4 stars story, 4 stars narration
This was a very good standalone rom-com, but I didn’t have any laugh-out loud moments. I smiled a lot at the story, and there were plenty of funny parts. Perhaps my lack of laughter is due to the narrator Kelsey Navarro being slightly worse at comic timing than Meagan Moses and Meg Price, who have each narrated other Sylvie Stewart books excellently. Other listeners may disagree with me. Still, Kelsey Navarro did a very good job. All of her female voices were perfect, and the male voices were almost perfect. She made the hero sound very sexy. The bubbliness and pacing were great as well. I would say that the story is moderately steamy. There is some cussing, but not very much.
The story, characters, and town were very realistic. I feel like it all could actually happen in some nearby small town. Jenna Watson is a kindergarten teacher and mom of two 10-year-old twin girls. Jenna’s divorce was final about a year ago. Her self-confidence is shaky, but this summer while the girls are with their father for a few weeks, she will try to have a summer fling. Misadventures in dating ensue, but then she finds a great guy. The happy ending is very satisfying.
I like Jenna, but I don’t love her. Sometimes her dithering made me lose a little interest in the audiobook until something new and interesting happened. I really enjoyed her close relationship with her sister, Jill. I also highly approve of the sexy but realistic hero, who is a bit quirky but has some really wonderful qualities. Overall, this is a fun rom-com and a lovely small-town romance.

I listened to the Audible version and I love the Kelsey Navarro/Sylvie Stewart combination for a rom com. Kelsey Navarro brings so much energy to the story and makes it feel like she’s having a conversation with me. I’m sure the fact that Sylvie Stewart writes the same way my friends talk helps too.
I haven’t read any other books in this series. Then Again does stand alone, though I suspect many of the characters appear in the other stories.
I like that the story is more about Jenna, and love that it’s not immediately obvious which guy she’ll end up with, at least without having read the other books in the series. I had a guess, but it look a long time before I found out if I was right. Every time I start a new romance book, I hope that the couple won’t be the first man/woman mentioned, but I’m disappointed pretty much every single time. I know this probably means I’m reading the wrong genre, but I’m in it for the HFN (yep HFN or a very slow HEA, not an insta-HEA – another common disappointment). There were a scary number of times that I could identify with Jenna and her divorce experience, so now I’m wondering if Sylvie Stewart is a pen name for one of my friends.
I would have liked to give the story 4.5 stars because it still had some predictable relationship drama, but overall I really liked it and loved the narration. I highly recommend this audiobook to listeners who like rom coms with a slow burn.

Jenna is mid thirties, divorced 2 years. Her daughters are away visiting with their father, so she decided it was time for a mommycation, to try start dating again. Oh, her sister, Jill is more than anxious to help bring her up to dating scene. That’s when the laugh out loud moments start! Jill taking her for her first bikini wax, to her giving her dating advice! Her first date with a biker really didn’t end up as planned. Each encounter has her crossing paths with Officer Mchottie, Sam Martinez. This is a story of self discovery after divorce. Jenna’s insecurity about why her husband left, and to having a friends with benefits arrangement. Hilarious fun, flirty moments.
Kelsey Navarro narration captures the emotions, of all the characters. She is an amazing storyteller, making the characters so real and fun. Thank you for making it a wonderful listen. audiobookobsessionreveiwer
Audio Review: Then Again (Juniper Court) by Sylvie Stewart (Author), Kelsey Navarro (Narrator)
Sometimes you just need to laugh at life or die crying. Sylvie Stewart is the type of author that takes you out of your head and welcomes you into her heart. With a sense of humor that doesn’t quit and a hint of reality that often times bites, Then Again gives positive thinking an interesting twist. Forced to start over after a devastating divorce, this single mom discovers she’s out of touch with not just herself, but the world around her. Stewart and Navarro are a match made in audio heaven. With hilarious delivery and a witty, yet empowering storyline Then Again proves to be a breath of fresh air, worth taking.
Oh my word how I laughed! This story is packed full of witty banter and some serious laugh out loud moments.
Jenna is at the stage where she is ready to move on from her divorce. Whilst her daughters are off with their dad for the summer she comes to the solution that she needs a crazy summer fling to get back out into the dating world. Her foray into dating and meeting men is beyond hilarious.
With the help of the ever present Officer Mendoza, Sam, she convinces herself that he is fling material. My word this man is old school swoon worthy! Their journey is steamy, witty and frustrating.
Really wonderful characters. I know this is part of the juniper court series, but I sure hope we find out what happened to Jill in her own book
A ’cheer me up’ book. Sometimes when I need a boost I read one of Sylvie Stewart’s books. It never fails.
As this one – it got it all – a good story, the characters are well described. The interaction between Jenna and Sam was hot and heartwarming at the same time. As well as between Jenna and Jill, how they supported each other.
I laught a lot and especially when reading the part of the crotchless lace panties.
I’m looking forward to get to know the rest of the people in Juniper Court.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was just so, so, SO good. I loved it. It was disarmingly sweet, laugh out loud funny, deliciously hot, with a realistic feel to it that made it all the more enjoyable. Sam and Jenna were great characters together. Actually all the characters were fantastic and the dialogue was hilarious plus.
I volunteered to review an arc of this book, and I loved it so much that I had to buy it. I really cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out. Sylvie Stewart is the best, and I’m sure the rest of the authors will do a wonderful job too.
Sylvie Stewart has out done herself on this book I couldn’t put it down it was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t stop laughing. Jenna is just so funny.
This story is about how we pick ourselves up once our lives have been ripped apart, and how we rebuild our trust in ourselves. When reading this book I felt the characters where well written that the story flowed beautifully. Jenna and Sam’s story is about a second chance at love and finding yourself along the way.
I hope there are more books in this series.
