Rafe, who’s a light-hearted jokester during the day but dark and demanding in bed. Then Jonas and Henry and Gabriel, each bringing their own damage and beauty to the clan until, day by day, they begin to feel like a real family.
There’s just one little problem with the happy new family clan.
One of them isn’t who he appears to be.
He is a spy for the enemy.
Will Shay and the township be doomed before she and her husbands have a chance at lasting happiness?
NOTE: This book contains some dark elements and covers sensitive topics. Any reader that feels they shouldn’t venture into this apocalyptic world of sometimes harsh realities should please consider before reading.

This was an awesome read. The storyline was pure perfection with the trail of fire to leave you breathless as you read the story of Shay and her adventurous love rollercoaster. The jaw dropping mystery had the intensity to knock you off your feet. Another stunning book from the talented Pen of Stasia Black. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! FIVE STARS +
The second book in The Marriage Lottery series is a sensual and exciting read that holds readers captive from the very beginning. The story starts off giving a bit of background for how Shay and Charlie met which lets readers know right off the bat that this story is going to be full of thrilling suspense and action. The fast pace ensures that readers never have a dull moment or lose interest in anything that is going on and let me just say that there are lots of exciting events that take place, events that steam the senses, events that hold readers in suspense and events that really get the adrenaline pumping. Shay knew that she would participate in the lottery and have five husbands and while she intends to share her body, she will keep her secrets which certainly keeps readers guessing and on edge. The five men, Charlie, Rafe, Jonas, Gabriel and Henry all have stirring parts in this story as well, but since one of them may or may not be a spy for the enemy, readers are kept on edge no matter how well they get to know them.
These strong, captivating characters are brought to vivid life and easily enthrall readers with their story, so much so that surprising twists ensure that the readers can’t determine all the secrets and who is the enemy until the very thrilling reveal. The romance itself is full of super sexy and erotic scenes as well emotional turmoil that adds realism to the story especially since nothing is ever black and white. The story is also quite intense, not only because the emotionally troubled relationship but also due to the conspiracy that these characters find themselves embroiled in.
Once again, I was completely taken in by Stasia Black’s story and her well-developed characters and post-apocalyptic world that I had no problem envisioning, so I can’t wait to read the next one.
This is a great sequel to Theirs to Protect. It can be read without reading the first book unless you want to know more about Charlie’s sister. The characters are truly interesting and the story is one you won’t want to put down. There are some interesting surprises revealing who is the spy and why Shay is really there. I don’t give five stars very often but this one is worth all five.

I love this book how women were scarce and one women had to marry five men at a time it is well written and the storyline is great
It honestly took me a while to get into this story, and I don’t think I was fully invested in it through the end. The story just didn’t feel right to me, and some of the characters seemed forced. There were some surprises and plot twists, but nothing that completely had me shocked in the story.
I didn’t read the first in the series, but I am kind of interested in the next in the series, so we’ll see what happens.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This is one that is very intense and suspenseful. It will keep you on your toes all the way through. It is part of a series you should read in order. It is exciting, emotional and fun. No spoilers. Better to read yourself from the first page.I recommend it. I was given a review book by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

This is book 2 in a 2 book series and I can’t tell you which one I love more. You can tell that Stasia Black puts alot of thought and character into what she writes and how she writes it. Thoughit is a series, each book has a completely different story to tell. This one is just shocking. It kept me guessing from the beginning to the end. I loved it so much I just couldn’t put it down. Both the love scenes and the sex scenes were enough to make you cry. I would recommend this to everyone. It was a great book the whole series is so far!
i first just want to say that Charlie is one heck of a brother. steamy, suspensful, and utterly believable just like the first book. plot twist left me REELING. spies, trust issues, love, learning to deal with their new way of life. great dystopian reverse harem read. loved it
book 2 but can read as a standalone
OMG! This story was absolutely freaking fantastic! The idea of having a shortage of women that they are “auctioned” off through a lottery is a fantastic idea! Just as the first story, this one deals with Charlie,Audrey’s brother. In the previous story, Audrey thinks she saw her brother killed. But instead of being killed, Charlie was kept prisoner until Shay helped him escape. They find themselves at the camp where his sister is living with her five husbands. Then it’s revealed that Shay will be “auctioned” off through the lottery to five men to become her husbands. Live gets even more dicey when spies are infiltrating the new society he has settled into. Adventure, love and danger go hand in hand as society comes to grip with the bad!
You won’t want to put this story down and I can guarantee that as with the first story, you will want to read and reread this one!

wow. This book was something that for sure. A woman escapee and helped another guy to find his sister, then makes him to be one of the 5 guys that marry her.
In this book they are secrets a lot of secrets at that.
someone will die, some will live, some will get hurt.
they are spies can you find out who they are? I know I did not guess who it was at first and then when I found out who it was I could not believe it

When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Stasia Black is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books.
A post apocalyptic world to where many of the women died and a marriage is arranged between one woman and five men…sounds like a mess. I really liked how each family “clan” had each other’s back, considering how different each member is. However, it was thrilling trying to figure out what Shay is hiding and if (or who) someone knows her secrets. With five husbands there’s a lot of steamy moments, as well.
More dystopian thriller/menage romance
Stasia Black’s Theirs to Pleasure takes up where Theirs to Protect left off. Charlie, Audrey’s brother, survived the attack that separated him from Audrey. He gets to Jacob’s Well to see his sister with the help of Shay, a woman who sneaks them out of the warlord’s camp. Shay trusts Charlie, so when her marriage lottery comes up, she agrees to 4 other guys plus Charlie. In this unstable dystopian world, no one is as they seem, and everybody hides secrets. Even Shay, Charlie, Jonas, Gabriel, and Henry. Although the polyamorous marriage works, and the sex is smoking hot, the warlord who threatens Jacob’s Well continues to undermine everyone’s efforts to keep things peaceful and safe. But who is the spy? Who is the saboteur? Who can Shay trust her secrets to? And who will die if she does tell what she knows? The tension and conflicts are off the charts, the story’s climax is jaw-dropping dramatic, and the heat of this 5-man, one-woman menage is incendiary. If you aren’t into spanking, pain, or domination this may not be your read, but Black as always makes the sex serve the plot and the character development, so it works seamlessly into the story. I want to thank the author for the ARC, and this review is, as always, voluntary, independent, and uncompensated. It is also a recommendation: Read Theirs to Protect first, and then read this book. You’ll love it.
Another great addition to this series. The time line takes place the same time as book 3 (which I read first) so I can’t wait to see what will happen on the latest release. There was more action in this book. I really enjoyed that. The husbands were so different then the others I’ve read. I was a little disappointed with how some things were so fade to black. I wanted to see more interaction with children, maybe more of the characters from the other books too. Even with that it was still a good read. 4 stars #2OCCJD
3.5 star review:
A well written reverse harem romance with a nice storyline and plot. It is written in multiple POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and that brings it closer to the reader. Great chemistry and hot scenes.
We are thrown directly in in the middle of the drama. At first a bit confusing but it makes the reader want to know more. I got caught from the start to finish.
I like when a reverse harem story also has some depth in it and not just steam. Shay was a bit annoying me at times. Her way of acting weird when high from different things. Not my thing.
A story that is different but also easy to read and enjoyable.
I like this series but this book was not my favorite. I didn’t want to finish it. The characters didn’t seem like their development or actions were true to the story line.
4.8 stars
This book. It seems outlandish. It seems like it has the makings of a book that is just fluff without any depth. Let me tell you though, THAT is not this series and in particular this book. This book was so good. Yes, it built off of the first one and we saw a few of those characters but this world just really took off. The author should be commended for her world-building skills.
Each character is given depth which afforded me the chance to get even more invested in the story. Shay. As if it wouldn’t be hard enough just living in this futuristic world which seems primitive after living in the comforts of today but to be a woman on top of it makes it even harder. A woman with a purpose. Henry. A proper gentleman. Charlie. The sweet man who just wants to honor a promise to his sister (who we met in the first book in this series). Jonas. The pot smoking Dominant former Preacher. Don’t let that description fool you. He was my favorite and I love that the author played on the idea of the irony of having a religious man be into BDSM. Rafe. Former Air Force who was a naughty damaged man. Gabriel. Devoted father to three boys whose sole purpose was to ensure that his boys had a good life and future.
The steam in this book was off the charts, yet, that wasn’t what made the story so good. Rather, it was the depth of the story and creating a world that isn’t entirely unplausible in the future. There were twists and unexpected surprises. There was a great segway into where this series is going in the future. The author could continue this series indefinitely as there is plenty of ways it can still go and an endless amount of characters that could still add to this story.
I wish all Reverse Harem type books were like this. If they were it would be my new favorite genre. Until then, this author will hold the honor of being the best at it and have me fangirling anytime she adds to the collection. I did not want it to end at all. I am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
If you are not into books that have dark part to them this one is not for you.
Shay by law most have five husbands.
Shay has been trained to know what to expect so the five men can have her
body but not her mind.
Everything not as you expect theirs some twists and turn to this
that kept my attention right throughout.

I loved this book. i was so happy when i seen there would be another book and group we get to follow in the New Republic. Just as the first story did, which you don’t have to read first but i recommend it, you get to meet our MC and learn little bits and pieces about her throughout the entire story. When her soon-to-be husbands come into the picture its incredible. you love each and every one and I’m super jealous. Stasia Black writes stories that pull you in and refuses to let go and your just ecstatic to be along for the ride. Please come out with more of stories from this apocalyptic world.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
This is the second book in this series. Each can be read as a stand alone but better if read in order. In this book we meet Shay, Charlie, Henry, Gabriel, Jonas, and Rafael. Shay knows what will happen when they got to Jacob’s Well. However she never planned on falling for Charlie along the way. Charlie doesn’t know what to make of this town. All he wants to do is take Shay and his sister Abigail far away. He knows this can’t happen but it is what he wants. Can they all find the HEA they are looking for or will it all be too much for Charlie to deal with?
This is a great story. It has it’s ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will tell you it will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
