So,… I am a sucker for a dirty, kinky menage, and this one hit the exact right spot, but I didn’t have any doubt in my mind that it wouldn’t.
Like always, Shayla Black and Lexi Black serves up a HOT.. and I mean HOT serve of three alpha males and damn do I love a hot AF alpha, add in a strong submissive that submits to them? WINNER. I love a strong female lead and I felt that Hannah was strong, in more ways than one.
Hannah has longed for these three men, but it wasn’t something she was going to admit, but when she gets kidnapped by them, and she finds herself at their mercy.. Kidnapped, confused but still craving these three men.
These alpha males… WOAH.. I am a sucker for them. I live for them, it’s one of the biggest things I look for when it comes to any romance and Ms. Black and Ms. Blake certainly knows how to write them PERFECTLY!
As the heat in the book picks up…so does the plot, as hot as this was, the authors managed to weaves in a back story and plot that held my attention and kept me wanting more.
If you are like me and love your smutty scenes then I highly recommend this book. Shayla Black and Lexi Blake don’t shy away from much and she didn’t in this book, and I absolutely love her for it.
SO HOT!!
5 stars!
The perfect woman to bring together a family and capture their hearts
It’s a shame that danger is what finally brings these souls together. But at least they are together and the best part is that through all of the danger they learn to love and become an unbeatable force. They learn to draw on each other’s strengths and support their weaknesses. I love this book! From beginning to end it kept me glued to my kindle app.
Didn’t finish. Hardly even started. I didn’t like the premise I’m kind of confused as to why I put it in my TBR. I’ve read plenty of ménage romance, so I’m not sure why this one was a problem for me. I gave it three stars because I don’t want to turn someone away from a book that could be a “me issue” and not a book issue.
I’ve read a bunch of Lexi Blake Masters and Mercenaries and this didn’t measure up. Not enough character development, unrealistic relationships and just felt like they didn’t really care about the quality.
Not even close to realistic
Their Virgin Captive had me held captive until the very end. That is impressive considering I didn’t think I would make it past reading the free sample. A story about three men and one woman is just not my preference. I enjoy two men and one woman but three is one too many for my taste.
The main characters were well written and you can’t help but fall in love with them. Hannah was such a sweet girl who seemed innocent no matter what and had a big enough heart that she fell in love with three brothers at once. The brothers, Gavin, Slade and Dex, each had their own unique personalities that added nicely to the story. Each individual man pulled at my heart strings in their own special way (Still I felt like cowboy Dex was my favorite). With all the conflict and drama going on in the story Hannah proves that she is strong and smart enough to handle whatever is thrown her way.
The plot in Their Virgin Captive held my interest and had me guessing who the stalker was all the way until the end. What I didn’t enjoy besides the fact of three men was how unrealistically fast things excelled between the four of them. A virgin would not be doing the sex acts/toys she does that quickly. While the book did set the tone as they all knew they loved each other for a while leading up to this point I still felt as if things were rushed. There was no romance and tension you have from slowly leading up to sex in this book. Other than that detail I thought the story was good.
Have you read Masters of Menage Series by Shayla Black and Lexi Blake? This is a series that I’ve read a couple of different times, and enjoyed it very much each time.
Depending on your definition of Reverse Harem, most of these are not RH. Most of them have 2-4 guys. And none of them have MM action. But I still love them.
They’ve each got a lot more of a suspense/thriller vibe than mine do. After all, most of the Masters are mercenaries/security or royalty.
I like to laugh about the fact that there are so many mid-twenties virgins out there, but I shouldn’t, since I really was in that category as well! There is BDSM in this series, at varying levels of intensity.
There is an over-all story arc through this series, and I loved how all of their lives were intertwined. I definitely recommend this whole series.
The James brothers really know how to charm a woman… throw her over a shoulder and march off to the wilds of Alaska. Ok, so their house in Alaska isn’t exactly roughing it but still.
Gavin, Dex, and Slate have a situation where Hannah is concerned – their all in love with her – so when they discover she had a stalker, they jump into action. Sometimes it’s comical. Other times, GAH!
Gavin has some baggage that needs working on while managing to tick off and push away the three people he cares most for. It leads to heartbreak and headaches.
There is no denying that, whether one-on-one or with more hands, this quadruple really knows how to heat things up, even when it’s an angry encounter.
I enjoyed this via an audiobook. Serena Daniels did a great job but with a nearly all male cast of characters, it would have been even better to have at least one male narrator.
Story: 4.5 stars
Narration: 4 stars
So here we are in book 1 of Menage series. This book is about foursome and their love. There is action in here and trouble too. Three brothers are madly in love with their secretary, Hannah. They don’t approach her with their feelings until they fear for her life when danger is eminent in her life without her knowledge. Ever since I started reading this Menage series I haven’t regretted it. It always helps if the authors put in right amount of hotness and steaminess. Definitely worth reading and listening it.
Audio. DNF/Skimmed. I totally admit that MFM+ aren’t my favorite, and I dislike it when the M’s are brothers/related even more. (“hey you want to try a threesome and I trust my brother/cousin” has sometimes worked for me as a one-time sex scene). So you’re like, uh ~ did you read the description? No, I did not. So I’m adding a star for this sort of being my fault.
I’ve been devouring The Perfect Gentlemen series by Black/Blake and *loving* it. So I was sort of browsing available library titles on Overdrive and this came up and I grabbed it without knowing what I was getting into.
My first issue is that there’s NO foundation for a romantic relationship between the men & Hannah. We’re *told* Gavin has known her for years but doesn’t want to want her. We’re *told* Slade & Dax love her and have been waiting for the right moment to tell her (while, of course, fucking their way through Dallas ). We’re *told* that Hannah has a crush on them. However the quartet of them literally have 4 sentences of convo before they snatch her and whisk her off to Alaska. Hannah has a stalker and the guys use this as an “excuse” to get her alone. (Heaven forbid they ask her on a date???)
Lack of consent. First, they literally kidnap Hannah. She is physically thrown over a shoulder and dragged to an airport over her protests & unanswered questions. Then without establishing any kind of real relationship or having ANY kind of talk regarding a sexual relationship, specifically BDSM ~ Slade & Dax on the plane set out to “punish” her for “not being submissive” (see aforementioned protests to being kidnapped) by spanking her. 25 times. Again, over her protests. I guess the authors think this is OK because they let her float into subspace and get turned on somewhere around 17. Um, no. That’s not sexy.
After that I sort of skimmed. Gavin is an ass because he’s self-punishing (for chapter after chapter after chapter) and I don’t even care anymore why because it’s become so tedious.
Oh, and yes. After the plane ride Hannah embraces this new “relationship” with enthusiasm by losing her virginity in all ways possible in a matter of hours.
And I gave up.
This story wasn’t sexy. I couldn’t even consider it steamy/sexy because it seemed soooooo physically unrealistic as to be distracting. I didn’t feel myself rooting for any of these people or their relationship. The “suspense” was so lacking I kept forgetting other than that’s the reason they were in Alaska.
Love this whole series. Fun to read and love the happily ever after for the group. They make menage a beautiful thing.
This is the first in a series of standalone ménage stories. I’ve read them before and I was a little sceptical because what if I didn’t like it as much this time around…… it’s as good as it was before
The storyline is good and progresses steadily to a happy ending
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good amount of dialogues
Characters is well described and developed in to different personalities
Steamy hot love scenes
Some action that is the little twist making the book more than just romance or erotica.
5 stars and I recommend it for all of you that likes romance, action and some hotness in your books.
Great job on this it was easy to read and a great read. Loved it
All of Lisa’s books are awesome.
