Three guys who take her back into their arms, one more guy bringing along trouble.Having fled to the coastal town where she used to spend her summers, Mia reunites with three guys she used to know, and date, Dylan, the brainiac, Mal, the joker, and Tom, the protector. The three guys take her back into their lives like she’s never been gone. But she has been away a long time, and in those years, … time, and in those years, life has gotten a lot more complicated for all four of them. Broken relationships, addiction and the loss of Poppy, Mal’s twin sister, Tom’s wife but also Mia’s ex-lover, it all hangs over them like a dark cloud.
Then, another guy from Mia’s past shows up, Jake, the city boy, bringing with him not only the surprise news of Mia’s birthday but also carrying the one secret Mia has been trying to hide from Mal and Dylan. How will the guys react to Jake? But more importantly, how will they respond when they find out why Mia stopped coming to the coast every summer?
This is the second novella in the six-part long Scarred Cliff serial, a reverse harem #WhyChoose story. This novella may include any of these elements: steamy scenes, ‘I need tissues NOW’ moments, cries of ‘why, oh, why’ and cliffhangers that make you bite your nails (and curse the author). This story includes MF and MM scenes.
Author note: This series deals with topics which can be hard for some people, like abuse by a partner and the fallout of the suicide of a side character (which happened in the past but plays an important part in this story).

The struggle that Mia is undergoing to hold on to her life, not to fall apart, continues. With her the 3 men from her youth, Mal, Dylan and Tom. But now also Jake, her friend outside the summers that she spent with her grandmother. Jake, the father of her child whom they had to give up because there was no money to raise him themselves. And the approaching date on which Poppy stepped out of life. All these memories Mia undergoes and she tries to prevent her having to choose between the 4 men to continue. Because she knows she loves all 4 and just can’t choose.
In addition, the feelings of 4 men for her and not 1 who thinks they can be good enough for her. My heart goes out to Mal who fights not to fall apart, his grief for his twin sister and his love for Mia. Heartbreaking! You must have read the 1st part to understand the battle they are waging. A great story, highly recommended!

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Skylar; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

While this might be Mia and her men’s struggle, this is not even close to a struggle to read. This is well written and has a great flow. There is really great development in plot and characters. This is chock-full of powerful emotions. I cannot wait to see where Mia’s story goes next, this book definitely left me wanting more.
I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Warning! Have your tissues close by when you read this book. Well written and amazing, a definite tear jerker. The emotions and struggles the characters go through are definitely relatable.

I recieved an arc from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The emotions and struggles in this book are heartbreaking. The struggles they face are real and people can relate to them.
Grief, loss and love all show themselves in this book.
Cant wait for book 3
Good book, can’t wait for the next installment
Book 2 is just as good as Book 1!
Their struggle is a real struggle. The emotions that the author takes the reader through are so vivid and tear worthy that I was kind of glad that it was a shorter story. I was running out of tissues—again.
There is angst, tears, a couple of smiles, a lot of gut retching emotions, and a whole lot of love in this story. It is the love that drives the reader on to completion.
My only comment, once again, is that I was sorry when it ended. I wanted more. I wanted “The End”. Guess I will wait on pins and needles, as they say, till book 3 in the series is released. Which can’t be soon enough for me.
