Yvette Pfeifer is bemoaning her fate as the submissive no one wants. She left her family and friends in Florida to work as a receptionist on the exclusive resort Pleasure Island. There, her deepest hope is that she will find a Dom who will claim her and make her his. Her only problem is her crippling social anxiety; an affliction which makes it hard for her to attend any club or events. From the … events.
From the moment Deke Estevez and Shep Jackson began working on Pleasure Island as catamaran captains, ferrying guests and supplies to and from Nassau, they have craved the shy, sweet, voluptuous beauty, Yvette. When she agrees to a scene with them one evening after having been stood up at the club, the trio experiences a night of hedonistic pleasure like no other.
Deke and Shep know that Yvette is the woman they’ve always wanted, but they both have past demons which threaten to destroy their budding relationship before it’s even really begun. Can they convince Yvette to be their submissive – not just the night, but for forever?
Publisher’s Note: This a short and sexy novella is part of Anya Summers’ bestselling Pleasure Island series and takes place at the same time as the first book. While we do recommend reading all the titles, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

This is one steamy and emotional book.
I really enjoyed this book. Yvette is an interesting character, she definitely has two sides to her… the professional and then so very shy personal side. One of the reasons she took the job at the resort on Pleasure Island was to try and finally find a Dom for herself. She succeeds in spades when she finally goes to the club so Shep and Deke see her.
Again, it deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it’s many, many variations so if that’s not for you don’t read this book. But, this whole series has been amazing and this book is no different.
Shyness is alluring to these Doms
This is book 3 of the Pleasure Island series. Yvette is practically paralyzed by shyness. If it doesn’t have anything to do with her job then speaking to a man makes her freeze up. And two men well forget it she is so tongue tied she barely makes sense. Yvette is really very brave. When her family disowned her because of her lifestyle choices, she picked herself up and moved to Pleasure Island. Here at least she doesn’t have to hide who she really is. Now if she could just untie her tongue maybe she could find a Dom to love permanently. Deke and Shep have had their eyes on Yvette for awhile. They love her shyness but she really hasn’t been in the club when they have until one night. Yvette is frustrated she’s been stood up again. Now what will she do. Deke and Shep seem to have an answer. But can the trio make it something permanent or will their pasts separate them!. I loved this story. Anya heroines are always brave and have or do overcome obstacles. Her Doms are masterful but have a soft spot for their women. I recommend this book.
Short and steamy.
Anya never disappoints. I look forward to reading more of this, I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won’t go into details. I wish we could give half stars everywhere, I’d have given this a 4 1/2 stars.

Book 3 of The Pleasure Island Collection is full of hot steam. Character building of the 3 main characters is really good. Between all of the steam, you really feel for Yvette and totally understand Shep. Great 3rd book – loved it!
I think every woman can, on some level, identify with the shy Yvette, who has enough insecurities about herself to keep her from going all out to find a Dom at the club where she works. Fortunately for her, once she finally garners the courage to wear the cuffs signalling her availability, she doesn’t have to wait long. Shep and Deke, however, have been waiting – months, actually – for some sign from Yvette that she’s available. Once they see her at the club wearing the cuffs, they don’t waste any time showing her just what she’s missing!
Despite being the third in this spin off series (and 11th in the overall DFC fictional world), this romance is set up completely differently than any of the previous stories. The two men, while partners who have shared women before, have no latent desires for one another. Also, this was the first MFM story I’ve read that dealt directly and honestly with the issue of jealousy between the men. As such, it’s an excellent addition to the series and is a fabulous standalone by itself.
The Pleasure Island series is a lot of fun to read, especially as the setting allows for a “closed circuit” of characters that we see popping in and out of other books in addition to each character’s starring role. This intricate world-building requires strict attention to detail, which the author brilliantly handles at every turn. The crossover events and scenes are just as fresh from another character’s viewpoint, making the overall effect almost like being a guest at the resort. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
2.5 stars rounded up.
Having just read and enjoyed the second book in the Pleasure Island series, Her Music Masters, I was hoping for more enjoyment with Their Shy Submissive. Alas, there wasn’t a lot of enjoyment for me here.
Yvette is one of the front desk attendants at the resort. She’s a sweet, socially awkward and introverted sub who’s longed for a Dom for a long time now. She just hasn’t put herself out there. So she finally decides to go to the club one night wearing her employee cuffs. It’s there where Deke and Shep see the shy, curvaceous woman they’ve lusted after since they first saw her. Now that she’s there wearing cuffs they plan on claiming her.
It all sounds good, and it is super sexy, but that’s about all there is. The short length prohibits much relationship and character development so that it all felt rushed and very, very insta-love ish. I do give credit that the scenes are hot, but there just isn’t much else here. I did like what I read of Yvette, Deke and Shep, but unfortunately, their characters weren’t given enough detail to round them out and make them into realistic, fully drawn people. Here’s hoping the next installments are more like Their Music Masters than Their Shy Submissive.
Ivette doesn’t like very much to stay with people. She is a solitary person. It took her around three months to decide to play in the Dungeon.
Shep and Deke have been waiting to get what they want for three months and they can’t wait any longer.
All the characters have problems from the past that messed up with their future. I like Yvette and Deke. However, Shep freaks me out.
The story is kind of weak with just their relationship. I would have liked to know more about their past. And I think a scene with the coming storm would have been perfect to give it more action.
