After she inadvertently discovers that the government has been maintaining contact with an alien race, twenty-four-year-old Chloe Jergens ends up being carried off by three huge, handsome aliens who intend to take her as their mate.Though the aliens quickly prove more gentlemanly than she might have expected, they make it very clear that disobedience will earn her a thorough, humiliating … humiliating spanking. But when Chloe decides to explore a dangerous planet on her own in an act of petulant defiance, will being punished and then claimed by all three of her mates at once be enough to teach her to submit?

This book was lacking for me. Lacking interesting characters, lacking real steam or connection, lacking continuity, just lacking. Chloe was one of he most immature, self-centered characters I’ve read in a while. The 3 aliens, Malo, Dax, and Tick were not that much better. This whole thing was a bust for me.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fantastic Short Sci-Fi Romance
This story is short sci-fi romance done right! Chloe is a great character; spunky, petulant and bratty, you never doubt that she gets what she deserves. The conclusion is satisfying ( as is the climax, wink wink) and the writing is crisp yet descriptive. I loved it and I’ll definitely look for more by this author in the future.
Chloe car breaks down on the road side, believing rescue and recovery of her vehicle was her only concern, she was so wrong….
Chloe Jergens is a pastry chef, cordon bleu certified in fact!! On the way home one night her car decides that it can go on no further and she ends up stranded, then she finds herself in all kinds of hot water because she inadvertently saw what appeared to be a UFO.
She is no shrinking violet and when she finds herself locked in a room with an official trying to scare her in to forgetting what she saw she decides to stand her ground unbeknown to her however are the three aliens that had been on that craft, they like her fiery spirit, her refusal to back down, then they decide that they want her, as their “Mate”
Chloe is beginning to get to know her three travelling companions well and finds them strange but as she gets more familiar with each of them, she finds Tick, Malo and Dax to be very entertaining, thoughtful and domineering, threatening her with a spanking if she fails to do as told
She is a woman that just tries to push her boundaries and their buttons, she failed to heed their warnings and on this one occasion she has put herself in a whole heap of trouble. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing
I found the story line very engaging, and the initial concept extremely entertaining. The three aliens Chloe is mated to all have distinctive personalities, though they aren’t entirely pleasant at first. Dax is a demanding jerk, Tick is a total creeper, and Malo alone seems to be the most decent. Their temperaments smooth out as the reader, and Chloe, get know them. The beginning was the most engrossing, as Chloe fights against the choice she’s given: spend the rest of her life secretly imprisoned by the government, or go with the aliens she inadvertently witnessed. Neither choice can leave her with anything buy resentment and sorrow, as either way she is giving up everything she’s ever known and worked for. Much of the story is summarized and stated rather than shown “on screen,” but this is due to the nature of it being a short story.
The three aliens, meanwhile, are rather comical and/or sweet in their attempts to woo her. They’ve done as much as they can to make her living space as familiar to her as possible, and they diligently read all cheesy self-help books on how to please a lady. She can’t help but concede a bit and become close with them.
But Chloe does something dangerous both out of curiosity and in retaliation for them leaving her alone to do their job rather than pay attention to her not-so-subtle hints about Valentine’s Day.
While I really enjoyed the book up until the climactic (no pun intended) scene, the ending felt more sad than erotic. The “punishment” seems to be truly painful to Chloe, and at no point does the reader (or any of the aliens) get the feeling she’s remotely turned on by these events. She’s yelling in pain, fighting back, begging any of them to stop hurting her, and indicating her feelings of betrayal. It’s not until after it’s over that she indicates it was something she enjoyed. Because of that, it didn’t feel like it was something at all sexually appealing, just cruel.
