— Taken. Prized. Possessed. Loved. —Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one. His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to … property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy their depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.
The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.
But can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?
Tank. The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s Daddy.
Pyro. Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence.
Boar. Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly.
Drake. Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.
Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

I became very invested in this series.
Four Mercenaries, Tank, Pyro, Boar and Drake. These guys take on the jobs that others shy away from, and their main targets are child traffickers, the scum of the earth.
Clover is a young albino who has been through the fostering system and then worked for a modern-day Fagin. However, his luck runs out when he’s sold to human traffickers.
Such great characters, and I love how Clover adapts to his surroundings and knows how to persuade older men to get his way, let’s just say daddy/boy.
The narration was first class, great character voices, and it sold the story to me. Plus, as always, hot sex scenes are throughout the book.

I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.
Relationship Type: MMMMM, i’d call it a RH (reverse harem) as well.
HEA(?): Yes, it can be read as standalone but there are more books to this memorable foursome!
Heat: 4/5
Romance: 4-4.5/5
Drama: 3.5-4/5
Suspense: 3.5-4/5
Pacing: Id say it’s a Mid Fast Pacing, it’s a little faster than I would’ve liked at times cause there were/are moments I wish were actual scenes rather than said in past tense.
I was eager to reread this book, so I can finally read the whole series! 😀

OMG, that was intense!!! A seriously thrilling ride!
I’ll preface this review by saying I did try to read this book back when it was released and just couldn’t quite get into it. It’s AMAZING what audio can do for a book. When I read the story it felt was very dark and dubious and I admittedly didn’t like how some of the characters were coming across in my head (this is no reflection on the authors, it’s just how my brain interpreted what I was reading). But Wyatt’s reading is FANTASTIC and he is able to add just the right inflections on the characters that they don’t seem so dubious and his rendition completely drew me into the story and I’m SO glad he did because it is totally awesome!!
The story is an amazingly complex, and lusty adventure, with danger, passion and new emotions for all involved throughout. There is just so much passion and steam, the pages were definitely set on fire!!!!
I loved Clover! So unique, special, sweet, and innocent in some ways but ridiculously strong in others. He has a big heart and completely endeared me to him! I loved the passion and ‘lack’ of inhibitions he has around sex and his desire to keep himself safe.
I loved all the guys (eventually) and they each brought their own personality and uniqueness to the table. I felt they all complimented each other but were all so uniquely different you can’t compare each of them. I feel this is an amazing feat with so many bold and dominant characters in one book! Kat and Ange have created such a well-rounded book, full of passion, danger, suspense, curiosity, and so much heat! I think this was a fantastic start to the trilogy and I’m so very glad I gave the audio a chance! It’s AWESOME!!

Although I have read lots of MMM books, this is the first harem book I’ve read or listened to…all male or otherwise. I was a bit wary at first, but having both the audio and ebooks made it a much easier introduction than it might otherwise have been.
First off, let me say that I loved listening to Wyatt Baker as narrator. He reads clearly and at the right pace for the story, uses lots of expression in his voice and infuses life into the 5 main characters. I particularly enjoyed Drake and the “villain’s” voices.
I am starting to enjoy darker reads again, and the authors are particularly good at getting the balance between light and dark right. The personalities of the mercenaries are all different shades of grey, but these men are incredibly loyal to each other and work together as a cohesive unit. I like how Drake thaws out somewhat as time progresses and the tender moments he shares with one of the other three (no spoilers!). I did enjoy how Clover is written too. Yes, he can he contrary, but isn’t it the point that Daddy enjoys his bratty boy?
Anyway, 5 stars all around from me and I’m looking forward to carrying on with the series.
This was one of my favorite books of the year. I not only bought and read it on my Kindle, but also got the Audiobook version and listened to it a few months later after I first read it. As much as I love this book, it’s definitely not for everyone – there’s a poly relationship with D/s, kinks, and other BDSM elements. There’s human trafficking and all the horrors that come with that. The characters, although sexy and hot, are not good men. They’re not evil, but they have their own moral code which does not line up with most laws.
Like most K.A. Merikan books, there was a ton of hot, gritty sex scenes, and all of them felt unique (and steamy). Despite all the sex (the amazing, wonderful sex) there was a lot of plot and emotional character growth. The plot was spectacular and action-packed, and so well-written and well-done that I was thoroughly entertained. The emotional growth between the characters was beautiful. I loved how all the characters had to work to make the poly relationship work and there was no simple answer to making it work. All the characters had to put in work and build trust with each other. The emotional growth only made the sex scenes all that much hotter, as well. Plot, character development, and sex scenes all complimented each other very well.
Overall Rating: 5 Stars. The writing is gorgeous and exactly the quality and standard I have come to love and expect from the K.A. Merikan writing team.
The Audiobook was great. Wyatt Baker is a new narrator for me, but I enjoyed his narration and will definitely be listing to more books narrated by him.
Tank, Pyro, Boar and Drake are four mercenaries. They’re not bad but not good either. They’re dangerous, intense and fierce, no one can messed with them, no one… except Clover.
Clover is a beautiful young man, he’s an albinos and the target of a human traffick ring. When the four mercenaries rescue him, Clover made a deal with them.. their protections against his beautiful and hot body.
They won’t be ready for what will hit them… But first they all need to find a way to keep Clover safe.
“If you break the rules, there will be consequences. You’re ours, and we protect what’s ours.”
OOOOOOH and we have a winner.. Clover. I adored him, he’s sassy and kinky. He has an innocence look but he’s everything but innocent. I loved how , one by one, he won the heart of his men.
Tank, Pyro , Boar and Drake are four men completely different from each other but complementary. Tank is the daddy, Pyro’s the wild man, Boar’s the softy heart and Drake’s the intense temper. They all bring something unique to Clover. I can’t choose between them, like Clover, I want them all.
The plot is captivating, the story’s well build and the characters are well develloped . The book is mostly from Clover’s POV but we have at least 1 chapter from each mercenaries with 2 chapters from Tank. I loved it, it put a good rythmic to the story.
It was well writen with lot of actions and fun. The sex scenes were super hot, kinky but not vulgar at all. It wasn’t too much or not enough, it wasn’t a book with only sex without a story, it’s not the case here, we have a real story, with real feelings build between the Mcs.
I can’t wait to read the next one. Good Job Misses Merikan!
Clover is a 19 year old petty crook, who happens to be beautiful and albino, and because of his unique looks, he’s kidnapped and sold off by his old crime boss. But as luck would have it, his destiny is forever changed, when he’s rescued by a team of four mercenaries, each incredibly hot and lustful, who are immediately enchanted by Clover’s looks and want nothing but to spend their time exploring his body. Clover is a very lucky boy, he gets a lover for every flavor: Tank, the leader, is huge, strong, capable and sexy and loves nothing more than to be Clover’s daddy. Pyro gives Clover a ride to the wild side, and is unpredictable, raw and rough around the edges, but has unexpected moments of sweetness for the boy, and his lover, Boar. Big, sweet, gentle and cuddly, Boar is as deadly as all his partners, but loves to shower Clover with all the romance he is been saving up in his big heart. Last and not least, is Drake, who is mysterious and harsh, and has no sympathy for Clover, but can’t help feeling as hungry for him as much as the other three men. Plot wise, there’s not much to resolve, other than taking care of the people who are after Clover, and the interactions and growing relationships between Clover and his four guys, which are never really that problematic to begin with, because they are insanely attracted to Clover from the start, and he basically makes them fall in love with his pretty self quickly enough. I am looking forward to the sequel and would like to see more character development along with the crazy hot scenes of Clover enjoying his men.
