ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!!!
Title: Their Baby Dragon
Series: Not This
Author: Annie Nicholas
Designation: Book 7, Full-Length, NOT A Standalone, Paranormal Romance, NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Delightfully Entertaining Stars*****
***Although the author includes ample backstory, this reviewer does NOT recommend Their Baby Dragon as a standalone read. This book revisits the couple from Not His Dragon, the first book of the series, giving the reader a riveting update on the mating and pregnancy of New Port’s most prestigious couple, dragon shifters Eoin and Angie and of course, it also includes the blow-by-blow (quite literally) account of the birth of the newest addition to the New Port family. After all, pregnant dragon shifters, especially rare ones with feathers who look like angels, can be quite vicious! lol…
OMG, I am so enamored with this whole series! I love, love, love Their Baby Dragon, the seventh outrageously adorable release in the Not This Series by Annie Nicholas! I became completely smitten after reading Not His Dragon, the first delightful story in the series, and now await each new release with bated breath. I’ll admit, like many other fans, I’ve been especially impatient for this book since it features the long-awaited birth of Eoin and Angie’s newest addition to their family, but it also includes so much more! And once again, Annie Nicholas outdid herself with another fabulous addition to the collection! We finally get to meet several members of Eoin’s family – including his mother! Oh my! And we find out about Angie’s – oops, I almost let the cat out of the bag, or I should say dragon, but no spoilers from me! lol… I snickered, snorted, sniffled, and cackled through the entire book but by the end, I was happy, satisfied and well entertained. Their Baby Dragon is a sexy, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, full-length paranormal tale filled to the brim with side-splitting humor, endearing characters, heartbreaking angst, dreamy romance and of course, a heartwarming happy ending. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with his and her perspectives. The dialogue is snappy, hilarious, well-executed, and flows effortlessly. No one appreciates a well-written story more than me, but no matter how great the technical components and execution, without a cast of great characters, it’s all for naught. And that’s what I love about the work of Annie Nicholas, she delivers the whole package, time after time. Each time I open a Nicholas book, I’m always assured a satisfying read. And Nicholas didn’t disappoint with Their Baby Dragon! I fell head over heels for the handsome, reclusive, and extremely moody dragon shifter and artist Eoin in the first book of the series and Angie, the beautiful, saucy, not-really-human owner of Scratch Your Itch was an absolute delight. And oh my goodness, the banter between Eoin and Angie was hilarious and the sexual chemistry was still smokin’ hot – literally! No spoilers from me but I will say this… A dragon shifter, about to become a new papa, with more on his plate than he can handle-check! A very pregnant dragon shifter who has no clue how to build or nest or birth a baby dragon egg-check! (Egg! Egg??? This is the first Angie has heard about an egg! Oh dear!) A frantic search for a doctor who knows how to deliver a dragon-check! A pushy agent-check! A flock of persistent paparazzi who refuse to go away-check! An invasion of well-intentioned family members who make the Kardashians look like saints-check! A boatload of humor, a little angst, a sprinkle of passion, and a liberal splash of sweet romance-you bet! That and a whole lot more!
Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Their Baby Dragon – Annie Nicholas – And you thought having a normal baby was complicated? This was the funniest one yet! Eoin’s family is a riot act! Happy Reading!
This was by far the best of the series so far. It kept me laughing throughout the entire book. Loved it!!
I loved this addition to the story, and I do mean love! Ryota was up to his old tricks but Eoin’s payback was awesome and hilarious. Angie is still spunky and an odd but fun combo or human and dragon. And having a little baby…well nothing brings a family together like a new birth. It was sweet, hilarious, and a wonderful addition to the series. I hope in the future we get to know Petal and Faire better. And honestly I even kind of hope Cedric can find a mate. This really hits home how life as a male dragon really is and how lonely it can be.
WHO WANTS TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR OF THE DRAGONS CASTLE?
I really really enjoyed this book. This series is always good for a laugh and the shifters totally grow on you. I mean a black as night terrifying dragon that makes your knees quake and who clings to skyscapers eyeing humans as lunch? Who wouldn’t want to read about that! And his hormonal white mate about to give birth to…an egg??? Then her ex shifter boyfriend is still in town and then there’s her back scratching business with a difference!
Fantastic series that l wholeheartedly recommend l just love these covers too
What a great read this book was. As it turns out nothing is going to go straight forward in this book with surprise visits, fights things going wrong with Angie’s pregnancy what more can you expect from a book. The book was an enjoyable and fun read. I am looking forward to what ever the next book maybe since this one has now introduced 4 unmated dragons it could go anywhere. I still would love to see Beth or Royta even Cedric find their mates. So there’s bound to be many more books for this series.
This was a great part of the series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order before reading this book or you may be confused since alot of previous characters are mentioned.
I loved meeting Eoin’s crazy family and definitely would love to see more of them. I also loved getting more from Angie’s past. This is definitely a reread!
Love it! Must Read!!
A great addition to the series. A most read.
I have loved the Gargoyles and dragons of Annie Nicholas’s world. Each book is not only sexy and passionately romantic but funny. I almost cried from laughing so hard in “Their Baby Dragon”. It is a must read.
Loved the continuing saga. Meeting the family was loaded with surprises.
I loved this book! The characters are funny, their banter relatable, and their antics cracked me up. The description of the scene where Eoin gets his revenge against Ryota was hysterical. Little snippets like this one ran rampant throughout the book: “Eoin rolled his eyes so far, he could almost see back in time.” The plot is a good one, but it’s the storytelling that really deserves the spotlight. It’s conversational, the kind of story a friend might tell you to make you laugh. If you don’t laugh, that’s on you. I highly recommend this story and love the entire series.
I love these Dragons! Eon is such a good husband and he loves Angie so much! One of my favorites series. Have all ebooks and all audiobooks out so far!
The snark and fun in this story was a hoot! This was a great addition to the “Not his” series. It brings us back to the first book with Angie and her big mean growly over protective dragon. I loved how the story brought out the human aspects of everyone especially Angie. And all of the new characters that got introduced – yippee! I can’t wait to see what happens with all of them. I’m already in love with all of them. If you haven’t read the series yet, you won’t miss out by starting with this one.
I absolutely love this series. It’s got danger, dragons, and lots of love. I love Eoin and Angie together. When things don’t go according to plan with the pregnancy they have to rely on outside help, in the form of Eoins family. Lord help them all. When the baby gets stolen they will once again have to rely on outside help to get the baby back.
I live Annie Nicholas . She has outdone herself with this book. I laughed, cried, peed my pants and sneezed. Their Baby Dragon is an awesome book from start to finish.
OMG, this book was AMAZING!!! I loved reading this from beginning to end, so much so I read it in 1 day because I couldn’t put it down. All the characters were so fun and unique. The baby, well it’s a baby and who doesn’t love a baby especially one that can turn into a dragon. The build up until baby arrived was so crazy and entertaining. Annie Nicholas did a wonderful job as usual, I now think this is my favorite book of hers. I highly recommend this book to all the paranormal romance lovers out there, you want to read this book!!!
