Detective Darek Blake thought the secrets of his past were long buried, but when a young girl is murdered in a familiar way, finding the killer will not only bring back memories he’s repressed, but give him a golden opportunity to impress the FBI. So, when his partner, Special Agent Lizzy McNamara digs up evidence that’s a little too close to home, he’s shaken to the core. The worst sin he’s ever … worst sin he’s ever committed bubbles up, threatening to destroy his future.
Are the Zodiac killings a coincidence or is someone toying with him, and if so… who?
Warning: This is the first book in a thirteen-book series. Every book has a cliffhanger of some sort as we’re telling the story of a serial killer. There is cursing, violent situations, a bit of gore and murder in almost every book. Enjoy!!

Couldnt get thru first chapter. To graphic
Really enjoyed reading. Will b buying book #2 to c what happens next
I couldn’t get into this story. The story line seemed sexually oriented with BDSM as the main theme. I thought the main character seemed pretty gutless with all of his issues. And the female FBI agent was definitely not how I picture an agent.
Keep me reading long into the night
Did not like this book at all.
Sorry.
I only give this 3 stars. It’s more of a psychological thriller, but little action. It’s mostly all discourse between the characters than actually like chasing anybody.
Good book! Bit short and 2nd and 3rd were even shorter for $5.00 each!
Book is very short Builds you up and stops abruptly. You have to purchase next book. Frustrating
Zodiac Killer (Book 1) had me ready to download Capricorn (Book 2) in the series before I had even finished it. Talk about gripping! Definitely gory but that’s part of the plot. My brain picks up discrepancies in should so a one word-change in a critical statement in Chapter 2, repeated incorrectly a few pages over, annoyed me but I got over it as the fast- pacer thriller took off (I guess the proofreader missed that). If the rest in this series are as short as this first one (My Kindle said Zodiac was only a 3-hour read), it could get a little expensive. I have a feeling I’ll be buying them all though.
This book was good, but boy is my brain numb! There was SO MUCH information and characters to keep track of I had to take physical notes! The story is a prequel, so there is an infomation dump, and it did come across as muddled. I really enjoy Darek and Lizzy and expect a lot more from them. I truly dislike Megan and I a rooting for her to have a tragic end. I have a few “guesses” as to her issues and the plot, but will reserve my opnion so as not to influence anyother reader. I look foward to the next story, I just hope it has less infomation and reads a bit lighter. This book was just heavy, not in content but information.
