This is the sequel to The Other Sister and it’s highly recommended you read it prior to The Years Between.
The five years between when Jessie and Will Hendricks get back together and when they have their daughter are unforgettable years that travel from one side of the country to the next, and deal with the issues that have for so long kept them separated. Their journey to get together has been … Their journey to get together has been anything but easy, but now they finally have the time and freedom to build a full and complete life together. The way they started, the life they lead in between, and the life they end up with, is a journey that tests the love they have found, and defines the love they are destined to share forever.

What an amazing followup to The Other Sister – Will and Jessie’s story. The obstacles and heartbreak that these two must face are almost unsurmountable, yet somehow, they manage to always find each other, even in the darkest times. Great uplifting story!!
This book follows Will and Jessie after the ending of book one. They have lots of battles to still fight and life is not all wine and roses. This book shows the struggle a victim goes through after rape and the need to self harm. It’s a daily struggle and will always be there. Will and Jessie have to fight every day for their hea. I really enjoyed this one.
i love that we get more of will and Jessie storie and see how they grow and persever thru everything and finally have an happily ending .it so worth to read ..hurry and get this book you wont regret
Will and Jessie back at it in this book but now they are divorce and he thought it was a smart idea to tell her to date other men. As they travel together they begin to realize they need each other and how well they know what the other needs without words.
We pick up after book 1 where Jessie and Will are together and trying to work through everything and aim towards what they consider a normal life, but just like before this is a rocky road. Will is still in the Military so while trying to work through things he still has deployments which makes you worry for Jessie but you can really feel they are trying to get back what they once had and there are sweet moments like when Will took Jessie to Disney. they work out who they are, what they want now and if they can have the love they previously had or if it. I just love that with this series you really get invested in the characters as they are flawed just like us and you want and hope that they get their happily ever after or as close to it as one can.
The Years Between is a wonderful in-depth ride of Will and Jessie’s story. It’s a very emotionally driven story. It’s beautiful watching Will & Jessie grow not only as a couple but as individuals also.
Will Hendricks and his wife Jessie have found their way back to each other but can they reclaim the love they had the first time and can they figure out where they need to be?
As Will continues with the military can Jessie find her place as a wife and decide what she wants to do with the rest of her life? As she attempts to overcome her painful past will she be able to overcome her demons and come out on top?
This was a good book about putting all of the pieces back together after having everything fall apart.
I liked how Will wanted Jessie to experience things she had never been to before so he made a point of taking her to Disneyland as he really wanted her to be happy.
The difficult part in the book was Will being deployed and how that affected Jessie with her difficulties from before. It was so sad the things she could do to herself to help herself cope and I hated that Will was leaving to go overseas. Part of me was super worried about Will being so adamant on revenge for what happened to Jessie when she was in Mexico.
I really liked that Jessie went out and got a job and her friendship with Bella. I loved that Bella was so caring and was there for Jessie when she needed someone.
Towards the end I was super happy with what Will did and how he wanted Jessie to be happy and the two moved so Jessie could be happy with her job and where she wanted to be! Will was so patient with Jessie and wanted her happy and healthy!!
The end was awesome and I am looking forward to more in this series!
The Years Between was a poignant telling of Will and Jessie’s journey of healing and redemption. Their story is so worth reading. In reading this, there was a statement I had to highlight and bookmark to share that summed up thoughts along the way in their fight for their love and survival. “How could a love born in hell survive the rigors and drain of real life?” Simply love. And read their story to find out how.
Life has been hard for Jessie and Will and they have worked hard to have a normal life. Tragedies and sadness mark their life, and Will marks the time when they can have a normal life together after he leaves the military. Jessie has her troubles too which giving away what the book is about. I love the way it picked up from the other book. The character, Jessie has some problems and she was able to work it out over time. Challenges making it seem real and an amazing plot that worked its way from the first of the book till the end, leaving you hanging on for more.
This story follows Jessie and Will as they start their lives together. The road is bumpy. There are good days, and there are bad. PTSD is there for both of them. Will has deployments and leaves Jessie alone. They find their strengths together and they struggle together. It’s a beautiful story of fighting for each other against the odds.
Jesse and Will’s storyline isn’t a happy, bouncy read it quick storyline. It’s authentic, and real, tragic and tender. It’s hard to read about mental illness, and harder still to experience in life, well done book, sometimes sums up problems simplistically. But this is a good book, growth of characters, you want them to succeed. Sex is smoking, and relevant to their story. Recommended adult.
A very nice book. You never know what happens after happily ever after, the struggles that they go through to be normal again or to reach some type of normalcy. An amazing book.
This explains the in between years of Jesse and will and these two are a riot! Loved reading more of them and can’t wait to read more of the sisters!
This book was absolutely amazing. It had so many emotions going on that it kept you hooked until the very end leaving it hard to start another book after you finished and made you want to re read it just to enjoy it a second time
This book fills in so much of Jessie and Will journey. Even more of their struggles and wins along the way. They build a life together after all they have been through. Good to see them grow as a couple and Jessie as a person.
Jessie and Will have to find a normal life but together. It isn’t always easy to do. Jess has to learn that there are good people in the world and neighbors are great to have. Will has some time in the Army left and has a count down to life that’s normal and without all the past slamming into her face. Will has to learn that she isn’t a mess all the time and can be strong and be honest with Jess about his feelings. He still needs more closer to help with the healing but also wants to get closer to Jessie too. This was a great book. I couldn’t put it down late at night.
One of the best things about Leanne Davis’ writing is her ability to create characters that are “real” and this book is not a deviation from that norm. Jessie and Will both have their flaws and weaknesses and this makes them characters that the reader can connect to and empathize with them as they deal with their problems and trials.
It was a beautiful ending to Will and Jessie’s story. Enjoyed reading how they grew together, learned to love each other and how to be a “normal” couple.
Great Conclusion
I absolutely love the beautiful story between Will and Jessie. To overcome all. Simply beautifully written. Cant wait to continue reading the series.
Have you ever wondered what happened after they end up together? Is it happily ever after? Well this book explores how life is after you think they live happily ever after. Really great after story. Life is hard but even harder when you both face so many challenges, ups and downs and everything in between. I highly recommend reading this book.
