The Wrong/Right ManWaking up to a text asking why you stood up your blind date is not the best way to start the day, especially when the man in question is standing half dressed in her kitchen.Maybe Dakota Newton shouldn’t have assumed the gorgeous man with a devastating smile standing outside the coffee shop was her date. She probably— Okay, she definitely shouldn’t have slept with him, … shouldn’t have slept with him, regardless of how hot the chemistry between them was. But how could she know Mr. Right was actually Mr. Wrong?
Braxton Adams has been called a few things in his life, but a liar was never one of them. That all changes when he’s approached by a beautiful woman who thinks he’s there to meet her for a date.
As a businessman, Brax knows to trust his gut and never let an opportunity pass him by, so he pretends to be someone he’s not.
Maybe he shouldn’t have lied. Maybe he should have come clean. But in the end, it doesn’t matter, because now he has to prove he’s not the wrong man but the right one.
So what if he’s not the man she’s expecting? She’s the one he’s been waiting for.

I loved this book! ARR is a favorite and she keeps that elevated position because her books consume me! I never want to put them down, and I always fall in love with her characters.
Summary:
Dakota Newton is starting over after heartbreak. New city, new job, but coming back to herself. Being pushed into a blind date isn’t her idea of a good time, but she can’t say no. Seeing the sexy man with a drop-dead gorgeous smile outside the coffee shop makes her think it wasn’t a bad idea after all. Until she wakes up the next morning to texts asking why she stood up her blind date. Considering the man himself is asleep in her bed, Dakota is more than confused. If he’s not her intended date, who is he? Dakota is quickly seeing that she shouldn’t have assumed he was Mr. Right, when it’s becoming apparent he’s Mr. Wrong. And she definitely shouldn’t have slept with him. Braxton Adams is a successful businessman, and knows never to let opportunity pass him by. Maybe he shouldn’t have lied, but being approached by a beautiful woman was an opportunity he didn’t know he was waiting on. Brax is a man used to getting what he wants, and Dakota is something he wants. Dakota may not have been expecting him or even looking for him, but he’ll have to prove he’s the right man, just as she’s the woman he’s been waiting for.

I love, love, love Aurora’s brand of alpha. They are always so swoon-worthy. Brax is no different, even though he’s a different type of alpha. The storyline of TWRM is fun and entertaining. It gives you a bit of everything including: romance, comedy, family, and suspense. Even though I love the premise, the characters are really where it’s at for me when it comes to ARR’s books. I really couldn’t get enough of Braxton and Dakota together. Dakota is warm, relatable, loving, and independent, but has had her heart broken. I loved seeing her find herself again. It gave her a confidence that’s inspiring and sexy. Braxton is definitely on my shortlist of book boyfriends. He’s an OTT alpha compared to ARR’s other heroes, and I loved everything about him. Confident, sexy, intense, smart, giving, and loving. He could be overbearing, but I even liked his obtuseness on this particular personality trait. I also loved his devotion to Dakota. Even just laying eyes on her, he gave her his full attention and went for it. This made them intense as a couple, but in all the best ways. I loved their instant connection. It wasn’t insta-love or lust exactly, but like an electrical charge that arced between them constantly, tethering them together. It was exciting, romantic, and hot. Overall, I didn’t want this book to end. This is signature Aurora Rose Reynolds with a bit more goodness thrown in. You get that feel good romance with a hint of suspense to hold you deep. Supporting cast was also amazing. Brax had my attention, but Jamie got his fair share, too. I adored Dakota’s brother, and am prepared to beg, plead, hope, and pray that ARR writes him soon. The love, protection and care he gave to Dakota was beautiful and sweet. I’ll add that I’m intrigued by his bandmates, too. I can see it now. Aurora Rose Reynolds does rocker romance! This was a well-written book with a great new world built to explore. I do wish the suspense part was a little more drawn out, but that could be me not wanting the book to end talking. The epilogue was perfect, but as I said, I’m more than happy to read more about Seattle and this group with Jamie’s book. Don’t pass up this book! Aurora will have you glued to your eReader and wanting more before you know it.
This had the trademark alpha man that I have come to adore from this author and a strong, fun, sweet heroine that you can’t help but love.
I loved everything from how they met, to the side characters, to the suspense and surprise that this book adventure took me on. You will love this insta-love, strong-loving, fierce Hero and heroine! I just hope one of my favorite side characters will get his book!
I really enjoyed “The Wrong/Right Man” by Aurora Rose Reynolds, which was sweet, amusing, and fast-paced. Both of the main characters, Dakota and Braxton, were quite likeable, but I felt like I got to know Dakota a lot better than Braxton since she narrated all but the book’s epilogue. It might have been interesting to hear some of the story from Braxton’s perspective, as well as learn more about how he started and built his company. He was an interesting man, and I wanted to know more about him.
Braxton was very alpha, but somehow still came across as a genuinely nice, caring guy to me. He was determined to get his way no matter what, but I could forgive him for some of his behavior because a lot of what he did was in an effort to protect Dakota, not control her as it seemed at first. That said, Braxton did step over the line a few times, particularly when he synced his watch to Dakota’s phone so that he could let himself into her apartment whenever he wanted. Everyone deserves their privacy and time to themselves when they need it!
I really liked Dakota’s independence and the way she stood up for herself whenever Braxton did something she didn’t like. I also appreciated that she never lost her belief in love and desire for a family of her own, even after everything she went through with her parents and former fiance. It would have been so easy for Dakota to accept everything Braxton offered her in the name of comfort and security, but she was determined to make it on her own and do the job she loved.
The secondary characters in this book were also pretty great, especially Dakota’s brother Jamie and his fellow band members. I would love to see Jamie get a story of his own in the future. Rock star romances are always so much fun!

Braxton and Dakota’s story is full of sparks, suspense and humor. They are set up on a blind date and everything develops with a good pacing. The story line was as always amazing, the alpha hero is hot and well the heroine compliments it all perfectly. The banter and dialog will have you laughing as well, like all books by the author it was a good read.

Another great alpha by ARR! I loved how Dakota and Braxton meet. Who knew the wrong. Lind date could end up so right! Some twists and turns in the story and a bit of excitement. Would love to see Jamie get his own story. Read it, you won’t be disappointed.
When I read the blurb I was intrigued. And then I started the book and man did I drag it out as long as possible.
This was like I was transported back to the Until Series and when I fell in love with this authors writing.
Braxton Oh my word. Talk about alpha male OTT I cant even explain. He was exactly like her first heroes, and I loved it. He was sweet and kind and generous and so alpha, well only when it came to Dakota. In his work life he was ruthless.
Dakota didn’t have a good previous relationship and when she met Braxton she was hopeless to deny him anything. But she also didn’t just give over to him. She made him work for it as well. She was sexy, sassy and so feisty which made Braxton want her even more!
The chemistry between them is HOT HOT HOT! And the bedroom experience is ‘OH WOW’!
If you love this author, this book will make you fall head over heels all over again. I loved every minute of it and man Will we get Brother Jamie’s story soon?? Especially as he is a playboy and you know that is going to be so good watching him fall in love 🙂
Can’t wait for more ARR!
A great story!
I loved Braxton and his overprotective ways. And Dakota was super sassy and determined to rule her own life. Their chemistry was out of this world.
And brother Jamie wow! Now there’s a character who needs a book all for himself.
Yes! I truly enjoyed this book. It was well written with great characters and a great storyline. Great fun, I loved it.
I highly recommend this book!
What an alpha male!!! Braxton takes the cake with his alphaness. I absolutely loved that he was willing to do what he felt was needed to get Dakota.
It started with a blind date and ended with love. There were complications, miscommunications but Braxton’s determination to have Dakota as his was worth it all. Determination is the key to Braxton’s winning over of Dakota.
I absolutely loved both characters and the story was great. This author writes my favorite alpha males and Braxton is among the top ones.
When I started this book I had no idea what it was going to be about I was just excited it was an ARR book. She is one of my 1-click, go-to authors that never disappoints and she didn’t with this one. I was hooked from page one and loved the push/pull, Witt, banter and chemistry that went along with this one.
I loved Dakota, she was feisty and really stood up to Braxton and his hot, domineering control issues. Soon as these two met the chemistry was intense and palpable between them. Braxton saw what he wanted and made sure he got it.
Well done Aurora for another great entertaining read from you. Once oyu start this you will not want to put it down and will enjoy every word.
Braxton…sigh. He was such an awesome hero that he almost took the top spot for my favorites from Aurora Rose Reynolds away from Nico, and that’s saying a lot! He knew exactly what he wanted and pulled out every stop to get Dakota.
Unique, sexy story.
The blurb got me very curious about what this story was about. It really could have been a recipe for disaster.
Instead, it was an intriguing read about misguided dating. Well written, with likable characters, I was captivated by the story and how it developed.
They say timing is everything and indeed it was when Brax meets Dakota. I couldn’t believe it but then again who knows…I loved it!
Crazy things happen in dating.
The wrong guy in the right place.
I love Aurora Rose Reynolds writing style and was super excited to have been able to read an ARC of this super steamy but sweet romance.
I loved how unique Dakota & Braxton’s story was and Aurora’s ability to transport you into their story is incredible.
If you’re looking for a unique love story with a super steamy alpha then The Wrong Right Man is a must read!
Can’t get enough of ARR and her stories! After leaving her fiancé for cheating, Dakota moves away to live with her brother and start a new job where she can take back her life. Reluctantly accepting an invitation for a blind date, she ends up surprised when she is not only attracted to the guy but ends up having a connection with him. Her world turns upside down when she finds out the next morning that the guy she spent the night with wasn’t actually the guy she was supposed to be on the date with. Braxton sees Dakota and can’t see his life without her and does everything in his power to get her to see that. With the plot twist being that Braxton is actually Dakota’s new boss and his determination to be with her while she pushes him away, she finally gives into the feelings and chemistry the pair have. And when someone trashes Dakota’s apartment, the question is who’s behind it. This was a great book with a unique storyline from ARR and I couldn’t get enough! Can’t wait for the next book from her!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was a steamy, fast-paced romance with an over-the-top alpha male and a sassy, broken heroine. It is a bit of an insta-lust/love, office romance with a little suspense thrown in.
Braxton took alpha male to a new level for me. It was almost too much with his need to be in control, but you see in the end what drove him to the levels that he rose to. He ended up being sexy, sweet, and a little swoony.
Dakota was fresh out of a relationship that broke her heart. She was just getting her groove back when she met Braxton. She was sassy and took no bull from him. My problem with Dakota was that she was a little too indecisive for me. Her back and forth/push and pull gave me whiplash. I did love her closeness with her brother, James.
Overall, the story was good but it didn’t get good for me until I was halfway in. The suspense aspect was a little unexpected and needed more development. The explanation for the suspense aspect didn’t really make sense to me either. I was also hoping for more in the epilogue. It does have an HEA though.

Dakota moved to Seattle after a bad breakup to be closer to her brother. Starting a new job she reluctantly agrees to a blind date. What happens when she goes on a blind date with the wrong guy?
What a fun and sexy read. Braxton is bossy and overbearing but in a sexy over the top way. Dakota is fun and sweet but full of so much sass and spunk. These two together are an explosion of amazing chemistry. I loved this book so much! I was hooked from the start! Full of fun, passion, sweetness, and even a hint of suspense. This is an absolute MUST READ!!
Before I tell you my thoughts on this book, I should tell you that I was already halfway in love with this story just from the blurb!! #hilarious #swoon
The book did not disappoint kids. Not one bit! My heart hurt from all the swooning. Seriously! From the meet-cute all the way to the end I was happy. GAWD was I happy LOL. I must have looked like an idiot while I read this because I’m pretty sure I never stopped smiling!
Dakota and Brax exuded sexiness and passion, as individuals and as a couple. What fantastic characters this author created in these two! I am still ridiculously happy about ALL OF IT! The were strong and realistic and their journey was relatable and just so damn sexy and heartfelt!
I gotta get started on this woman’s back-list ASAP!
4.5 Stars
I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Dakota really shouldn’t have assumed the gorgeous guy outside the coffee shop was her blind date. She also shouldn’t have spent the night with him. If something or someone seems too good to be true that’s usually a warning sign. Dakota is not happy when she finds out the truth about her mystery man and decides to back away and leave it at that. Brixton however has a different idea. There’s something about the head strong woman that keeps Braxton going back for more and although he sometimes goes around it the wrong way, you can’t fault the guy when it comes to determination.
I loved this book. The characters are so entertaining, Braxton is great with his over the top possessive alpha-ness and Dakota won me over from the start. Anyone that makes a mistake like she does, well I’m on their team all the way. She’s sweet, feisty and funny and just a brilliant character. Definitely recommend reading this book.
Love me some Braxton. He’s mine ya’ll. I’m sure someone has tried to claim him, but if I didn’t read it…it doesn’t count…so dibs. I know that Braxton was not her blind date, but here’s the thing, they had a hot night, he had coffee in the morning for her and he freaking calls her beautiful and gorgeous….All. The. Time…sold. Oh, and he cooks, you know that is my absolute favorite quality, so I love me some Braxton. The thing I love the most about Braxton, he is who he is, and he doesn’t apologize for it. Was he a bit over the top for her, he was, but mostly for her safety. And I am all about the safety, especially in a world where nobody is 100% safe. He is crazy about her, it’s genuine and sincere, which I appreciated.
This was a safe read, great storyline with a little suspense. She does try and push him away for a hot second, you know because of the whole awkward, you weren’t really my blind date thing, but my Braxton is persistent. Their chemistry is intense, and I loved that. A dirty talking OTT alpha of the alpha’s that will make you melt…still mine, and his handful soulmate. I really adored her and her brother, Jamie’s, relationship. Those two were sibling goals for sure. Epilogue with multiple time lines and an hea.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a book that I couldn’t put down and it caused a book hangover. I really loved Braxton. He may seem a little controlling and needs to have his way, but he is man with a great heart. You can tell by the relationship he has with his parents. Dakota is gun shy when it comes to men because of her ex. The title fits this one so perfectly because Braxton is the right wrong man. The chemistry and banter between Dakota and Braxton had me flipping the pages. Aurora Rose Reynolds did an amazing job writing this book. It had plenty of heart and heat, but also some spots had me on the edge of my seat. All the characters in this one were great which just added to the book. This is definitely a must read!!
ADORABLE!! I am so in love with this story! The meet-cute was perfect! Braxton and Dakota’s story is full of all the things you love from ARR! Sweet, funny and oh so sexy! I laughed so much reading this book! The banter is everything! LOVED!! FIVE STARS!
