The Wrong/Right ManWaking up to a text asking why you stood up your blind date is not the best way to start the day, especially when the man in question is standing half dressed in her kitchen.Maybe Dakota Newton shouldn’t have assumed the gorgeous man with a devastating smile standing outside the coffee shop was her date. She probably— Okay, she definitely shouldn’t have slept with him, … shouldn’t have slept with him, regardless of how hot the chemistry between them was. But how could she know Mr. Right was actually Mr. Wrong?
Braxton Adams has been called a few things in his life, but a liar was never one of them. That all changes when he’s approached by a beautiful woman who thinks he’s there to meet her for a date.
As a businessman, Brax knows to trust his gut and never let an opportunity pass him by, so he pretends to be someone he’s not.
Maybe he shouldn’t have lied. Maybe he should have come clean. But in the end, it doesn’t matter, because now he has to prove he’s not the wrong man but the right one.
So what if he’s not the man she’s expecting? She’s the one he’s been waiting for.

I am ashamed to say this is my first book by this author. I have seen her around everywhere and she is on my TBR list, but I mean my TBR list is endless. But when I saw this book and I read the blurb, I was intrigued and knew I had to give it a read and I was not disappointed. Aurora’s way with words is incredible I fell in deep with Braxton and Dakota’s story. It was entertaining, enticing, fast-paced, and addictive to read, a real page-turner and I devoured this under 24 hours!
I am a sucker for a possessive, over-protective alpha male so Brax was the perfect hero. It’s everything I look for in a hero and Dakota was fun, feisty and sassy but sweet. She was perfect and these two hit the ground running when they met, it was very insta-connect and fast-paced but as the book progress, I could see why the author started off the way she did.
I know for sure after reading this that I will be reading more of her work, sooner rather than later.
This was an exciting, steamy, fun and enticing read and the perfect start to my new love for this author! I loved it and highly recommend giving it a read!
5 Stars!
I absolutely love Aurora Rose Reynolds’ writing style and storytelling. Determined, devoted and a bit bossy, her alpha males set their sights on the heroine, and in that moment, know down to their core that she’s the one for them and then do whatever it takes to win their hearts. Reynold’s describes that moment as the “boom,” and her ability to capture that insta-love moment and those feelings are one of the reasons why I love her stories.
I’ve been looking forward to The Wrong Right Man since I read the blurb last year. I’m a big fan of escapism reading, and Reynolds’ is a favorite of mine for those types of stories. While not exactly a traditional meet cute, I enjoyed Braxton and Dakota’s meeting, and I loved how firm and insistent Braxton was in his pursuit of Dakota. I loved how Dakota didn’t buckle to him, either, but instead gave him a run for his money.
The thing about Reynolds’ stories are is that they’re not realistic – they’re not intended to be, and that’s kind of the point of escapism reading. They’re over-the-top, they’re sometimes outrageous, and the fact that they wouldn’t happen this way in real life is part of what makes them so much fun. Add in the fact that they’re sweet and steamy, and it’s a recipe for a perfect story to get lost in, which is exactly what I did for an afternoon.
Aurora Rose Reynolds totally brought the boom in The Wrong Right Man with a low-angst, light-hearted, sweet and sexy romance. Braxton was a very determined hero who knew exactly what he wanted and pulled out every swoon-worthy move to get Dakota’s attention. I loved watching this couple fall in love, and I was completely swept up in their romance as I devoured this book in an afternoon. The Wrong Right Man by Aurora Rose Reynolds gets 4.5 smooches from me!

Fated. The meeting of Dakota and Braxton can only be explained as kismet.
Setup on a blind date with Adam, Dakota falls victim to a series of incidents, causing her to be late. Upon arriving at the coffee shop, she locks eyes with Braxton who is instantly entranced by her. From that moment forward, he takes no chances, inserting himself into her life in every way possible.
While there is an instant attraction, their happy ever after is not an easy one. Outside influences conspire to keep them apart, but knowing that everything happened for a reason, they meet the challenges head on.
Dakota is smart, hardworking, and independent. Braxton is successful, a caretaker, and fiercely determined to ensure Dakota is as all-in as he is. My favorite type of Hero!!
Another great read. I really enjoyed this story, would have liked an epilogue, but still a great story. Read in one sitting.
Aurora Rose Reynolds has done it again, this book is amazing. I loved it!!! From the first chapter and all the way till he end I laughed a lot. Braxton is just a sweet, caring extremely over the top alpha and I just love him. Where do I get my own Braxton. You have to go read this book if you haven’t read it yet. It’s really great, it won’t disappoint.
“’ ’ , . ’ . , .”
Let’s talk about “The Wrong/Right Man by Aurora Rose Reynolds”.
Sometimes I wonder to myself, why do I take so long to read some authors? This is my first book from Aurora and after I finished, I kept wondering that. Better later than ever. Now I have her whole backlist to dive in. It’s not a difficult problem to have!
For some years Dakota saw herself become another person, of shell one of herself. When she finally receive an anonymous letter with proof that her boyfriend is cheating on her, she decides to let it go and take back the reins of her life, moving back with her rockstar brother until she start over. That’s when a friends sets her up in a blind date. What could go wrong?
Everything. Braxton has never seen a more beautiful woman in his life. So when she mistakes him in a blind date, he does not bother to correct her. It’s really impressive the connection they create in their first date. After a hot night together, the truth comes as fast as it can. And not only that, he is her new boss in the very very new job.
While trying to win her back, Braxton proves to have a high level of overprotectiveness with her and a borderline obsession. In some parts of the story I was almost screaming to Dakota like “red alert! I repeat Red.Alert! Run, baby, run!”. But then, boom!!!, that twist in the end I wasn’t really expecting at all!
What I like the most was that even with all Braxton craziness, she still stood her ground and made her voice heard. She was always communicating with him and even with all the events, I love how mature she was. I very recommend reading this book.
The Wrong/Right Man is so sexy and swoon worthy I wish I was the one who tripped into Braxton’s arms. I don’t know how many times I smiled or sighed happily or smirked during this story but it was a lot. The way Braxton fell for Dakota with such an intensity and protectiveness made me blush and want to jump his bones and marry him. I loved Dakota’s fire and sass and how she kept Braxton out of his comfort zone. The passion between these two could melt my kindle! You need to read this book for the coffee date, the watch, her brother and the pink tie alone. The Wrong/Right man makes me want to fall in love all over again. Tracey Adams has a nice ring too it, don’t you think?

This book is the second book that I’ve read by this author and I definitely wasn’t disappointed, I really like this author writing style and this book kept me hooked. The name and the cover of this book were also awesome.
Dakota is staying with her brother Jamie after she left her fiance after he cheated on her, he was also extremely controlling of what she wore, her make up her hair, she was losing her own identity. When Dakota received a text asking why she never went on the blind date she’s extremely confused, because she did, he’s in bed next to her.
Braxton is a total alpha male and always knows how to get what he wants. So when Dakota mistakes him for her blind date he doesn’t correct her.
Will Dakota ever know that Mr wrong was really Mr right all along?
( NO SPOILERS ).
These characters were written brilliantly even if Dakota was quite intimidated by Brax at first and he was quite alittle over the top at times. But because he loved her he was very over protective and the love they have building between them and their sexual chemistry is sizzling out of the pages.
This book is a great page turner and I just couldn’t put it down I wanted to see what was going to happen.
I will be highly recommending this book when it gets released.
I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.
Amazing! I’ve volunteered to review these book for United Indie Book Blog. I love to read to Aurora Rose Reynolds books. Dakota is super sweet, who is getting her life together again after being hurt from her ex. Ever had a blind date that where you mistake the person for someone else. Well that what happened and here come Braxton. He is so much an alpha. I love the chemistry between Dakota and Braxton. What happens when you find out that he is your boss? You WILL have to read this to find out. This can be read as a standalone. Keep up the amazing work!
This was a good quick read! It drew me in from the very beginning and I didnt put it down until I was done. I loved the chemistry between Braxton and Dakota! If you love books with alpha males this book is for you!
Was given an arc for an honest review
The Wrong/Right Man by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a standalone romance by one of my favourite authors. The story focuses on the characters Dakota and Braxton. Dakota is starting a new job and moving out of her brothers place after a bad break up, only to be set up on a blind date by a friend. The only problem is that the man that she meets and has a good time with, is not the man she was set up with! Here in lies the hilarity of Dakota’s situation as things about her ‘one-night stand’ unfold and her life becomes more complicated.
Braxton knew that he wanted Dakota from the moment he saw her and is going to go to any lengths to have her…literally. He is high-handed, dominant and as it turns out, the CEO of the company she is working for, oh and did I mention that he is a total alpha!
If you’ve read Ms. Reynolds before, you know that her books are going to be fun, sexy, emotional reads and this one is no different. There is certainly a spark between the two main characters which continues throughout the book as they both try to figure out their relationship and for Dakota, not give up too much of her independence to the sometimes-obsessive Braxton.
The scenes were steamy, the story-line really good and the addition of other characters helped the story to move along at a good pace. The story also had a great epilogue which showed the growth and development of the characters too. If you like a HEA with a side of steaminess and all out fun, then this is the one for you!

A nice read.
3,25 stars
It was a sexy, sweet and easy read, but it wasn’t my favorite.
The plot had a lot of potential and I wanted to have enjoyed this book better.
I don’t know if it’s because this book should be part of a series or a spin-off or some other reason, but the informations seemed to be desorganized and I was at a loss here and there about people and facts. It was as though I needed to know them, but I had no idea who they were and what was happening.
Some occurrances didn’t make much sense either, they were just dropped in the story in a hurry without a warning or some background.
Even though I liked the prospect of their relationship and what they could have been, Dakota played the part of the independent woman, but was tossed from side to side by Braxton and her brother like some damnsel in distress, as if she was just a pretty face who couldn’t take care of herself.
But that being said, I liked Dakota and her brother’s connection, I wanted Braxton and Dakota to be together and it was enjoyable.
I loved it! Braxton was so over the top and it hit the spot that I was needing. Dakota was so strong and while she relented, she didn’t make it easier for Braxton to get his way. There was humor when it came to the banter, an undeniable connection with these two that you could feel right from the start, a little mystery that I couldn’t guess, and a beautiful love story. The secondary characters all added another side to this story that leaves me wanting more. I really hope there is a spin off series so we can see Dakota’s brother get knocked down a peg. This may not be her Until series but ARR broght out the BOOM in spades with this book. I won’t give too much away but if you are looking for a light hearted (for the most part) read with awesome characters then read this. You won’t be sorry. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I have read a few book from this writer before and I enjoyed them very much so when I read the blurb of her newest book ‘The wrong/right man’ I was immediately intrigued by it and I couldn’t wait to read it.
The story is told from Dakota’s POV and it started really good, strong. I really liked the chemistry between Dakota and Brax and I especially loved the mystery of Brax and how it was slowly revealed who he was. I enjoyed that part very much. But the further I went into the story the more I got the feeling I was missing something in it and the more I was questioning the way that Brax’s wanted to control everything regarding Dakota. I don’t have problems with dominant men in my books but here it didn’t feel 100% right. For me personally, it didn’t really fell true with his character.
The end of the story also felt a bit rushed, it ended all a bit too smooth for me but that’s just my personal feeling of it.
The story was light, entertaining and a bit steamy. It was good but I just missed some depth in the story and I had some doubts about Brax.
In true Aurora Rose Reynolds’ fashion, The Wrong/Right Man had everything that ARR is known for: a strong alpha who borders on over-the-top, an independent woman who gets annoyed by how alpha the guy is, and an instant connection between the characters. And I loved this book! I loved Braxton’s protectiveness over Dakota. I really loved how these two met! I did feel as if the ending was rushed a little more than I would have liked, but as a whole, The Wrong/Right Man was great! I hope that Dakota’s brother get a story next!
AHHHH I dont think I read the same book as others did, if I did then what in the heck!!! I tend to like some of Aurora’s books, some of them but this one was not one of them. Braxton was supposed to be Alpha, which let me tell you I tend to love, but to me he was just creepy/stalkerish. Then we have Dakota, she was supposedly this tough wild child who gets with a controlling guy who changes her into a submissive woman and she only leaves him when she finds out that he was cheating on her. Supposedly her brother Jamie is protective of her and now trying to remind her of who she is, but does that happen, no she sleeps with another manipulative guy and is under his thumb and supposedly her brother whom I had liked is ok with that? huh nope didn’t work for me.
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author…voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
Dakota Newton was moving on, after her ex cheated on her she moved back home and has a new job that she is loving. When a friend tries to set her up on a blind date she is reluctant but agrees, what could possibly go wrong on a coffee date? How about meeting Brax Adams who she immediately finds herself connecting with. Dinner, drinks, and more Dakota is ready to thank her lucky stars for getting setup but that all comes to a screeching halt when a text comes through asking why she stiffed her blind date?
Brax is a man who goes after what he wants and seeing Dakota he knows he wants her. A little bit of omission has Brax trying to gain Dakota’s trust but what happens when he finds out she is his newest higher and the woman who is quickly becoming his everything is more stubborn then he wants to admit.
Loved love loved this one. From the moment they meet this book sweeps you off your feet. This was funny and charming, Brax is pure alpha man. Everything you could want in a a romance.
I absolutely adore Aurora Rose Reynolds, I will forever buy any book she writes without even needing to read the blurb, because I am that confident of how much I will love it. This book was no different.
From the get go, I was obsessed with Braxton and Dakota. The instalove between the pair is something I really enjoy from ARR, but it’s not over the top, or taking away from the storyline. When Dakota realises that the man she spent the night with was not the blind date she was meant to meet, I loved her reaction, she didn’t give in and let him talk her around, she made him work for it, even when her head was telling her to forgive him, she didn’t until she was ready to. Braxton was intense, alpha and completely OTT with his intentions towards Dakota, but always coming from a place where everything he did was to keep her safe and protected, if not a little stalkerish, but in a way I really enjoyed.
I loved the side characters, Dakota’s brother and his band especially, I hope they each get a book.
Another smash from ARR, as always, I am left waiting for more.
The Wrong/Right Man by Aurora Rose Reynolds was a fun, entertaining and a bit over the top read. Dakota’s just had a great first date, or has she? But the man next to her the next morning was not the blind date she was supposed to meet. Instead he was not who he said he was. But Brax knows he wants Dakota and will have her. He was one determined man who was a complete alpha. Dakota and Brax had great chemistry and I loved their back and forth.
Happy reading!
Author Aurora Rose Reynolds wrote a 5 book with this one about Braxton and Dakota.
Braxton is an alpha male in the only real sense of the word. He does everything to keep Dakota safe and, above all, his. In the beginning he was perhaps the wrong one, but in the end he turned out to be SE. The book has different styles, it is romantic, hot but also exciting and thrilling.
The person they are looking for is not who they think he is and that ultimately surprises you.
