I loved this book so much that I stayed up till 2:30 this morning to finish it.
I couldn’t wait to see if Ethan and Nicole would finally get together
This story had my emotions all over the place. Ethan and Nic aka Nicole have both experienced betrayal of the worst kind from their ex’s that keeps them guarded. Right before she is to marry, Nic overhears her fiance on the phone that causes her to question his feelings for her and her doubts come to fruition on her wedding day causing her to run away. She is betrayed by the people closest to her. Taking a job that should have been her sister’s has her getting close to Dr. Ethan Jackson but they meet prior to her starting causing an awkward situation. Ethan is torn by feelings he have for Nicole and his past experience from his wife. Can two broken individuals take another chance on love and get that second chance for a happily ever after?
I loved the story, but I wish the subsequent books in the series weren’t so expensive (collectively). Or that they’d be offered as a bundle. The only downside of having numerous books in a series. But this book was quite enjoyable. Although I wouldn’t be as forgiving as Nic is.
I love this whole series!
Loved this book!
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
This book captivated me from the first page.
Nic and Ethan are everything!
This has become one of my top listens of the year already. I loved everything.
We need more books that talk about depression. Lexi Ryan wrote an amazing one. Include sexy single dad and I was a goner.
Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the Jackson boys!

Enjoyed every page and could not put it down. Got so involved with the characters with so many twist and turn. Moving and insightful, can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
The book is OK, the plot was good, but the problem was that there were so many issues and none of them were written deeply, so you finish having a book about a brooding hero (with sooo many problems) and a pitiful heroine (depressive but not so much, and with her own problems. The author should have described more deeply all the problems: with her previous wife (the cheating thing was described lightly and was important), the issues with the sister (came on……the ending was awful!), her problems with previous relationships……so many problems and none of them were solved at the end of the book….she should have gone to University again and solve their lives together! This book has so many problems that got me bored and looking fastly whathow they were going to fix everything: which they did not
This is an awesome book. I could read it 100 times. Loved it.
Wrong Kind of Love was my first Lexi Ryan book but it wasn’t my last! I loved this book and her characters so much – I read the entire series! Fabulous!!!!
i like very much this book
Love this book. I had to buy the others in the series.
Great read
This was my first Lexi Ryan and I’m thrilled to have discovered her. This was a sweet, steamy book that I really didn’t want to put down. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series [all standalones].
One book I did not want to put Down!
****** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ******
I’ve been seeing Lexi Ryan books around for years and was so excited to dive into one! I don’t know if all her books are this fabulous but I sure devoured this one! It opened up in a major way and I was in Nic’s corner ready to go in the next round offer her. Her ex and sister (said with a large amount of disdain) were not good enough to be in her life. Let’s get to the good stuff… Ethan! Nice and Ethan set the room around them on fire with all those sparks! I could not get enough of them!
Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne were good narrators. I feel like they were both able to play their parts nicely. Donne has a softer male voice but it fits well with an obstetrician and i feel like he would have great bedside manner. Roberts has this delightful southern accent that I could not get enough of!! It made the character (Nic) sound her emotions a bit easier!!

First read by Lexi Ryan. I really loved the family connection Ethan’s family has. That’s a big plus when I read a book.
I want to hug Nic. Mental illness is no joke but I was happy to read she has good control. She’s a rockstar for that!
This book provides a slow burn between the two until they finally couldn’t take it. It was great! They understand each other on a different level and have good chemistry.
Lily is awesome! I love a good single parent book.
Nicole finds out her twin sister is pregnant with her fiance’s baby on the supposed day of her wedding. She ends up running away and pretending to be her sister so she can take over the nanny job for a six year old girl. She meets a stranger that she has a one night stand with on what was supposed to be her honeymoon night. A shock is in store when she finds out Ethan the doctor is also her boss and the stranger she hooked up with last night. Ethan is a single father and has had his share of heartache. Nicole makes him feel something he never expected to feel for anyone again. Can the couple overcome the past to have a future?
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
Part of a wonderful series about a family that sticks together. Even sometimes when it would be easier to walk away.
This was my first Lexi Ryan book; my only regret is that I picked it up on vacation over a year ago and only just picked it up to read it! I loved Nic and Ethan, and I really enjoyed Ms. Ryan’s writing style. And yes, i did just one-click the next 2 books in this series!
