From the author of the instant New York Times bestseller The Wives comes another twisted psychological thriller guaranteed to turn your world upside down.
Have you ever been wrong about someone?
Juno was wrong about Winnie Crouch.
Before moving in with the Crouch family, Juno thought Winnie and her husband, Nigel, had the perfect marriage, the perfect son—the perfect life. Only now that she’s living in their beautiful house, she sees the cracks in the crumbling facade are too deep to ignore.
Still, she isn’t one to judge. After her grim diagnosis, the retired therapist simply wants a place to live out the rest of her days in peace. But that peace is shattered the day Juno overhears a chilling conversation between Winnie and Nigel…
She shouldn’t get involved.
She really shouldn’t.
But this could be her chance to make a few things right.
Because if you thought Juno didn’t have a secret of her own, then you were wrong about her, too.
From the wickedly dark mind of bestselling author Tarryn Fisher, The Wrong Family is a taut new thriller that’s riddled with twists in all the right places.

Whoa! What a twisted, suspenseful drama! Parts gave me chills and made me uncomfortable to read. Every time I thought I had a grasp on what was really happening, I was thrown by a twist to an alternative truth which had me questioning everything. Loved the flawed characters and the original storyline. This book was a page turner for me and I had a hard time setting it down.
Tarryn Fisher offers a unique approach in this psychological thriller with a few unconventional circumstances and moderate plot twists. While the storyline held some predictability and dialogue that seemed oddly at war with itself, it was made up for in characterization. The cast was all deviously crafted with irritative and unlikable qualities that, not only fell in line with the tone of the plot, but left the reader second guessing just about everyone.
Thank you to #NetGalley and #GraydonHouse for the ARC of #TheWrongFamily which was read and reviewed voluntarily.

The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher, published by Graydon House / Harlequin is another masterpiece by this author. A psychological thriller that turned me upside down.
The Wrong Family is a slow burn, a slow paced drama that keft me speech-and breathless and with a major bookhangie. The plot twist had me guessing til the end.
Juno is a 67 year old former therapist who moved in with the Crouch family. At the first look, everything seems peachy, but taking a closer look, Winnie and Nigel have some issues. Juno wants to help them, but she has her own agenda, just like every player in this game. A twisted, dark read, TF at her finest, a gem of a read.
I recommend this book, 5 stars.
Juno is 67 years old and lives with the Crouch family and for the most part keeps to herself. Being in such close proximity with them means she is privy to conversations and the dysfunction of Winnie and Nigel’s marriage.
Winnie wanted the perfect house and marriage, portraying this to friends and family is important to her. Nigel is a really lovely guy who seems to begrudgingly accept the many whims of his wife, often agreeing to things he would rather not agree to. He has his own ways of dealing with the resentment that seems to grow more each day.
Juno used to be a social worker but her instinct to analyze and do the right thing for people leads her to invading the Crouch’s privacy. This starts a chain of events that affects this family who are trying hard to fix things. Juno’s well meaning interest in them is all based on assumptions of dots that she has connected to form her own picture.
There are several plot lines in this story and it is quite fast paced in parts. I found the story fascinatingly addictive and at times very sad. I thought I had things figured out sometimes and then got blind sided. So much happens in the final chapters that I got reading anxiety and had to stop and take a break but it was so worth it. Once again Tarryn has managed to completely draw me into another fabulous piece of mind fuckery!
When I saw Tarryn had a new book coming out, I jumped at a chance to read it! I loved The Wives and hoped that I would love this book too!
At the beginning, it took a minute to warm up but once it did… HOLY! It is so twisted!!
Okay, no one on earth is going to think of this plot. It’s unfathomable how a person can hide in another persons space for so long. It happens though in this story and you even end up buying it.
Then this side twist plot comes along and kicks you right in the gut! BAM! Here I am, look at me!!
I got sucked right in and before I knew it, it was over.
I could cry now.
Please hurry up and write another book!
Yeah, you guys are gonna love this one… for real.
This story was so good that I hated it. What do I mean by this? The writing was great, I did not find any inconsistencies that distracted from the story, the characters were fleshed out, the pace of the book and drama unfolding was fast. The style is written based from two of the characters viewpoints, Tarryn Fisher cleverly conceals certain truths so that the reader questions things that come out bit by bit in each chapter. I was at the edge of my seat numerous times and could not read the lines fast enough. When I wasn’t reading, I kept replaying the scenarios in my head and wondering what would happen next and when I finished the book a week ago, I had to marinate on what happened and process my feelings. I hated this story, I hated the characters and the destruction of the lives of all involved. We meet Juno first, she is walking through a kitchen looking for something to eat and notes the destruction that the husband (Nigel) and wife (Winnie) have left after a fight from the night before. At first you think this must be a nanny or grandmother who lives here as she eats leftover food from the fridge, Then Winnie and Nigel come home and Winnie starts talking about their relationship and alludes to something bad that happened years before but doesn’t quite share exactly what it was. And you see how broken this relationship is, and at first you feel bad for them but you realize that they should just split up instead of staying in such a toxic environment. You wonder why they don’t acknowledge Juno, the grandmother or nanny especially since their son Sam has had interaction with her, so you think ok well then she must be a boarder and they are the type who don’t welcome her in, she is just a boarder. And Winnie bullies Nigel constantly and allows her family to bully her in the affairs of her loser twin and you can’t stand any of them because Nigel is so indifferent he is weak and rather than talk to Winnie he decides to have an affair and Winnie rather than be angry or upset she is also indifferent and weak. And Juno, Juno is not at all who you think she is. She was a therapist in her former life and she was diagnosed with a terminal disease, and you think ok therapist, she sees what is going on and can offer to help them. Nope, she is just as awful as the family, if not worse and she causes so much destruction for the family and for herself there is just no way to feel good about this story. I highly reccomend this book but I do warn that the reader will either love it so much they will hate it, or hate it so much they will love it. Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
