Bachelor: A desirable potential boyfriend. AKA not Cole Kingston.Seventeen-year-old Madison (Madi) Matthews wants nothing to do with the dating competition her school is holding to raise money for charity. She’s never been interested in chasing a guy before and she certainly isn’t interested in competing for one in front of the whole school. But, when Madi is voted as one of the ten “lucky” … ten “lucky” contestants, she’s given no choice but to vie for the heart of Lincoln High’s most eligible bachelor. The problem is, they’ve chosen the wrong guy.
Cole Kingston might be good looking, great with a football and practically the king of Lincoln High, but he’s also cocky, arrogant, a serial flirt and Madi’s sworn enemy.
Will she be able to resist him though when the competition heats up and he turns his charms on her?

Madi Matthews wants a normal life with her boyfriend but when she finds herself on a reality television show with her neighbor Cole Kingston who seems to do everything to drive her nuts. How will she ever get off this show and keep her current boyfriend in tact.
Cole Kingston wants nothing more than to have Madi by his side unfortunately her boyfriend has made that impossible and Cole figures he’s one chance is being on the reality tv show. What he didn’t count on were the other contestants causing more trouble than should be.
Will this reality show blow up in everyone’s face or will a couple emerge strong than before? If you like young adult angst, drama and some heavy teasing then you in for a bumpy ride. I know I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure.
A fun read. People handle adversities very differently, and the more diverse actions you read about and learn from, the better you will be able to determine how you should react.
stayed in my room all day reading it the best book ever
This was a cute story about a girl who doesn’t realize who she wants and a guy who doesn’t realize how to show her that he loves her.
I liked the premise of a high school version of the Bachelor. I don’t watch the show, but the high school doing their own version for charity was really cute.
I also liked the other characters and how the author was able to give them each some depth without making the book too detailed. It felt like we got to know each of them at least a little.
I think readers who enjoy contemporary romance, YA Romance, or possibly even the show The Bachelor will enjoy this book.
Enjoyable YA reading.
Modern fiction should represent contemporary life, and this book does just that. There is so much interest in reality TV dating shows so the idea that a high school would adopt the format as a fundraiser is both realistic and creative. The story is well-executed with like-able characters and wonderful surprises in the plot. I recommend this book because I enjoyed the time I invested in it and look forward to reading more from this author.
So you get a happy ending a few sweet sappy moments but I just kept waiting for the more factor.more for her. More from him. Just more. A nice YA book though.
“You like me?” I asked, still not quite able to believe it even after all he’d said. “Madi, I’m crazy about you, and only you could be blind enough not to see it.”
Someday’s I live for the cliche stuff and this book just happened to be that. This is high school romance meets The Bachelor and you know what? Even though it was predictable at every turn I enjoyed reading every single minute of this book.
If this feels the kind of book that you would enjoy, go for it!
4 Stars!
Actual Rating: 4.5
Although the end got super cheesy, I can totally overlook that because the book was absolutely fantastic. I loved all the characters and I laughed a lot. I didn’t want to stop listening to the audiobook even though I had to do homework. Now I’m sad because there isn’t more book and the author doesn’t have any other books available as audiobooks. I hope that Alexandra Moody writes more contemporary romances, because this one was a masterpiece!!!!
3.5 stars all the way !
This was a cute YA book . I enjoyed the banter between Cole and Madi . There was recently wild fires in their town so the high school students decide to do bachelor like program to raise money . The students voted one boy and 10 girls, weekly eliminations sounds like fun right . Well it isn’t for Madi , she and Cole used to be best friends till one day they weren’t anymore . Cole has had a crush on Madi since the first time he saw her , but it keeps coming out like he is picking on her.
As the game continues Madi starts seeing a different Cole .
OK so I liked this book. I felt it was cute . My only issue is the game , I do not see any school allowing high school students to play this game and film it for school . Maybe if they were college age it might be more believable.Besides that it was a cute story and an easy read.
This is a really fun read. Relatable characters and swoon-worthy jocks. A fun YA romance. Great if you like books like The Wedding Boyfriend or To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Very disappointing. There were quite a few errors and the story seemed poorly cobbled together
