4.5 stars
Sutton Wrights story. And we get to hear more about her grief, her family, her friends, her son and David. Getting a glimpse inside her head is wonderful, not only shows us Sutton in her true form but what trials and tribulations follow her along the way!
How hard is it when your husband passes and you are still grieving, how do you move on. It definitely can’t be easy for Sutton and I really wanted to give her a big hug.
David has a heart of gold. He’s been there for her. Can Sutton move forward?? But there is something that no one knows and no one knows, but when they find out. Well things are not good. I cannot wait to read how this will end.

This was all WRIGHT! Sorry that was cheesy.
Oh Sutton! How my heart hurt for her coming into this book. If you’ve not followed through the other Wright novels then know that this is not a spoiler but she is mourning the loss of her husband at the start of this book. My heart ached when she lost Maverick and then seeing her in the subsequent Wright novels I prayed that she would get her happily ever after.
I was and still am hopeful for her HEA. This book was a start. I could already see the sparks between her and David in previous books and to see things come together between the two of them was delightfully angsty.
But seeing the obstacles that came there way was heart-breaking. Whether it was from her or him, you could already see how they were so great together and when things got in the way you wanted to throw the book at someone.
This is book one of two so you know that there was a crazy cliff-hanger at the end of the book that made me go….WTF??? What will happen in the next book? How is this whole thing going to play out? Well, if you know KA Linde then you in the most angsty way possible.
This book gave you a great glimpse into Sutton and David as well as gives you a peek into what all those other Wrights are doing. Love these characters and how they are drawn out. Can’t wait for more!

This book. I knew it was going to gut me. I was prepared for the emotional ride of getting Sutton’s story. What I wasn’t prepared for was the happiness that some of these pages exuded from her. She went from this shell of a character the past few books, to this fun, bright character we’d grown to love. David was perfect for her. He never pressured her, and was always there for her no matter what. This book was phenomenal, and that ending?! I need The Wright One ASAP!!! You all need to grab this book.

Oh my lord!!! I loved all the Wright Brothers but Sutton, I think she is my favorite! GAH!!! The Wright Love just blew me away! I didn’t see the story turning the way it did and was FLOORED by the end!! I was cursing at my kindle and at the author as she got me!! She got me good and in the best way! I love a good plot twist and The Wright Love didn’t disappoint!! This was another 5 star read for me from K.A. Linde and I cannot wait to see how it plays out in The Wright One!! Even though there are other books in the Wright Series, this can be read as a standalone and is part of a duet.
Sutton found the love of her life at a young age and with a surprise pregnancy, they thought they had an eternity of time to be together. But after a tragic accident claims her husband it leaves her as a widow and a mother of 1 year old that will never know his father. Being only 24 herself, she knows at some point she needs to move on, but how can someone move on when they are still so heartbroken? A year later and she wants to move on but her heart won’t let her.
David is the CFO of the Wright family business. He’s seen Sutton become a shell of a person she used to be. They have a friendly relationship and are a friendly place but as time goes by something more starts to develop. It seems like they’ve moved on from the friend zone but Sutton still has her guard up. She wants to be let loose but outside influences still keep her in the past.
When it seems like things are about to get on the right track something from their past will cause everything to change. I never expected this… I never saw it coming… It had me pissed and angry and oh boy, I loved it! The Wright One should be interesting and I cannot wait to see how this will change everything!! This Wright Love is outstanding and one I would highly recommend!!

4.5 stars for – Wright Love – book one of the Wright Love duet / book five overall of the Wright series by K.A. Linde. This book can be read as a complete stand-alone but the series is highly enjoyable and it’s one I recommend all the time. Once again we are back in Lubbock, Texas where the Wright family has stood by for the last year and helped however they could as the youngest sibling grieved the loss of her spouse.
Sutton Wright fell head over heels for Maverick while still in college. Getting pregnant and married before even turning twenty-one wasn’t planned but she loved her little family beyond words. Watching as her husband collapsed in front of her from an unknown heart condition felt like her own heart stopped beating and like it would never mend again. Over time with the help of all her friends and family things started to look a little less bleak and one person in particular has always been there when she needed him most.
David Calloway took over as the CFO of Wright Construction when Morgan moved up to take Jensen’s place. In the last year he has become an honorary member of the Wright family and by some odd twist of fate he was there the day Maverick Wright died and has been there every day since whether to help with Jason or be a shoulder to cry on for Sutton. While he has always found her beyond beautiful, helping her heal has been his only priority but now that he sees her coming out of her shell more and more he’s hoping she might give him a real chance beyond the friend zone.
This was an emotional, angsty roller coaster ride that leaves you wanting so much more. I can’t wait to see where part two takes us since that cliffhanger in part one left me with my jaw on the floor!!!

The Wright Love is all kinds of right in the feels.
5 heart-wrenching stars.
Back last year, I message Kyla and begged for a Sutton story. I mean talk about being gutter. The marathon where hubs died was tooooo heartbreaking.
My level of angst when starting this book was through the roof.
First. You have Sutton. Who we’ve followed as a sub-character in every single Wright sibling books!!!
Then At the end of ‘Mistake’ we meet David. Who seems awesome. During ‘Secret’ we see the shell that Sutton becomes and can only hope that her future gets better and maybe includes David.
Now we are up to the ‘Love’.
Oh my gosh. Love Love Love describes this.
I loved the struggle Sutton dealt with and how Kyla portrayed moving on when a spouse or partner dies, very unexpectedly.
The devotion the hero shows. The understanding he has of her feelings and where she’s at is profoundly touching
I lived and breathed this until I finished it. Stop lights. Waiting rooms. Checkout lines. I read it in less than a day and am crushed wait by for the ‘one’.
This is a duet and doesn’t end well. High, high hopes for the next ‘one’. Ba dump bump *chuckles*
Sutton deals with still loving her deceased husband but wants to move on. There is a huge twist in here I never saw coming. I blame ‘joel’ as Kyla posted on her fb page. 🙂
I highly, highly recommend this book. And while it could be read as a stand-alone I wouldn’t. Start with the first Wright brother and embrace this family. They flipping rock.
Heat: high
Sexy times: high
Angst: medium To high
Cliffhanger: yeah

Holy angsty roller coaster ride of emotions!!! My angst-loving heart was clapping her hands in glee with this book. But it’s also sweet and sexy with some laughs thrown in.
We catch up with Sutton a year after tragedy struck. Her pain! God. I can’t even. I cried many tears for her. I can’t even imagine.
And then there’s David. Sweet, sweet David. He’s so patient and understanding and just so perfect. Until he’s not. Oooooooh man.
Though, in my opinion, this book felt a bit lacking in comparison to the rest of the series. I felt that Sutton and David went from zero to sixty back to zero and then back to sixty in such a short amount of time. I felt that their story was a wee bit rushed. Regardless of that, I still truly did enjoy it.
I loved catching up with the rest of the Wright crew! I love this family. And that ending… Whoa! Totally caught me off guard! I really am looking forward to seeing how this works out!

I am so excited that I got to read this book. Sutton is such a strong woman. I am utterly amazed by her. I love how she slowly took control of her life and her happiness. David was also an amazing character. He was so sweet and he took everything at Sutton’s pace. I am in love with him. I think they are perfect and I am loving how their relationship is coming together.
Now I will be honest.. I have only read one of the other stories about the Wright family.. which you do not have to read the others to enjoy this one.. BUT it makes me want to read all the others.(seriously I just bought all the other ones) I am completely obsessed with the Wright family. They are so supportive and loving of each other. I need to know each and every one of their stories.
This book will make you cry.. I mean I cried a lot.. and that ending!! Major cliff hanger but Linde told us that ahead of time and the second book comes out at the end of the month so there isn’t a long wait.. yeah not long.. Im not crying for the second book right now.. not at all.
ARC was given to me by the author.

“ Everything happens for a reason”
THIS CLIFFHANGER…. I did not see it coming at all!!!!!! WOW!!!
I have so much love for the Wright family and I could not wait to read Sutton’s story. WE had glimpses of her life in the other books but this only triggered my curiosity. I wanted to know more…
Sutton’s life his shattered when her husband passed away. Despite the love of her family, she feels alone. She suffers the loss of her husband but also the knowledge that her son will never know his dad and will grow up without him.
“They wanted to help her. She didn’t want to be alone at home, crying all day. Even though it would have been acceptable!
Sutton is simply surviving but she wants more she wants to feel alive again.
“What I want is to open a new place in my heart. To carry you with me and find a way to keep living. “
David is the definition of a knight in a shiny armour and of Prince Charming. He is there for Sutton and Jason and never expects anything in return.
Their friendship blossoms in something more, that they are both willing to explore until things got complicated. Maverick’s parents are not happy to see that Sutton is ready to move on and they make it clear to her…
“ I wanted David . Physically, emotionally, mentally. I wanted every bit that he was willing to give me.”
Will David and Sutton get their HEA? Will they both be able to let go of their past?
Secrets, family drama, tension, second chances and more importantly LOVE are at the core of this beautiful story. It is a rollercoaster of emotions from beginning to end.

Oh wow K.A Linde brought out the emotional big guns with this one. She has brought us a gripping page-turner with the perfect blend of sweet and swoon-worthy mixed with scorching chemistry.
My heart literally broke for Sutton. Her grief, loss and guilt felt so raw and emotional, and was beautifully written.
Sutton and David are so great together, I loved their connection. He is so sweet and patient with Sutton, putting her and her sons needs first over his.
It was great seeing the rest of the Wrights back, it was one huge family reunion.
After that ending i am seriously on the edge of my seat waiting for the next instalment in this duet.

This is book 1 in a new duet from KA Linde, however I suggest you read The Wright Brothers Series as well as the majority of the characters from there appear in this one since this book is about Sutton whom is The Wright Brothers sister but this can also be read just as a duet without getting lost. This is Suttons story and the book I had been waiting for and as much as I loved all of her brothers, Sutton had grabbed my attention because of everything she was going through.
Sutton Wright is the youngest of the Wright siblings and even a year later she is still heavily grieving the tragic death of her husband Maverick. Getting through life is hard for Sutton especially when she has a young son to care for but is still spending most of the time fighting through life each day and wishing things were different. David Calloway has been there for Sutton since the day Maverick died, he has helped her with babysitting and a shoulder to cry on when needed, so crossing that line from friendship to something more isn’t something he wants to think about because he will take Sutton any way he can get her and besides he knows she is still wrecked with grief. Will Sutton ever realise whats right in front of her and take a chance on trying to live her life again?
Usually I get bored when a book is mostly based around the heroine lead rather than the male lead but the story has been written in both points of view and it’s been done with an abundance of compassion and empathy for these characters that you can’t help but be drawn into the story. I loved it and after finishing it I am so glad the author did a separate duet for these characters as there was so much going on with Sutton and Davids lives that it would have been hard to fit it all into one book without having to shorten some of the much needed detail that’s in there. David has a heart of gold and the patient of a saint and for me patience and kindness is everything in a man aside from the usual stuff a woman looks for.
We are of course left waiting for book 2 after the bombshell that was dropped at the end of book one which I of course won’t go into. All I can say is thank goodness we don’t have long to wait for the conclusion. So if you don’t like waiting after a slight cliffhanger then I suggest waiting until both books are released.

A sweet, heart-wrenching and enthralling romance that’ll leave you stunned…
Oh my frickety frack…What the hell just freaking happened? It was all going so well and then it all went BOOOOOOOOM! I did not see that coming, I saw a lot of things that didn’t come coming, but not that! FMyEverLovingL, if feel like I need a rewind button. Seriously? I’m speechless. Kyla Linde has left me speechless. Again.
So The Wright Love is book #1 in The Wright Duet that is part of The Wright Family series. Sutton’s and David’s story can be read as a standalone, however I would always say you need to start at the beginning. Mainly because you get to experience Sutton’s backstory and see it unravel in the background of the other Wright’s stories. Also, you don’t want to miss out on Jensen and Emery, Landon and Heidi, Austin and Julia, and Patrick and Morgan. Hmmmm…this is one of my favourite contemporary romance series going. Not only is Ms. Linde’s writing sublime, but her plots are sure to leave a smile on your face. She just has a way of weaving enough suspense and heart-wrenching drama through her plots to make it impossible for you to just bob along. Every time I read one of these books I get completely sucked in and it doesn’t matter whether it’s the first, second or third time…every time is like the first time.
Anyway, I was a little sceptical about this book because I am so bad at dealing with sudden loss and I just knew that there was a possibility that this book could break me. And it did. It has. I am broken. That cliffhanger has completely screwed me over, or rather the twist that lead to the cliffhanger. I don’t think my jaw and my heart have ever dropped so fast or been so in sync. I mean, I just didn’t see it coming. I love David. I love Sutton. I love Dutton. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t work, but what the hell?
The plot for this story started out really rather sweet and simple and it’s become this complex sexy beast and I really am struggling with the wait for part 2, The Wright One. I know that I said that I was a little apprehensive about the whole loss topic, but I have to give it to Kyla, she managed to kill me with her soft approach and her sensitivity. The way in which she handled every single aspect of Sutton’s new life was beautiful. Yes, it made me cry. A LOT. There were a lot of ugly, snorty tears. But, the way in which Ms. Linde handled everything deserves and applaud all of its own.
The characters themselves weren’t new to me, as they have been in previous book in the series, however, I loved getting to know them personally. David is just every thing that you want from a romance hero. He is sweet and understanding and he is gentle, but at the same time he has this heat and this charisma that makes him irresistible. The way in which he handles Sutton is nothing short of awing and heroic. He is a man. Not just in age, but in mentality and his actions. I really could not get enough of him and likewise, I adored Sutton. I liked that you never really feel their age gap. Clearly, she’s had to mature, what with being a mum and all, but she’s also got this fire and feistiness that gives her clout. If that makes sense? She has this ability to draw you in and just mesmerise you, even through your tears.
I really cannot wait for the conclusion of The Wright Duet. I am on tenterhooks and I just cannot freaking wait. I need it now! Also, now that Julian and Jordan are around, does that mean that there’s going to be more to the series after this? I really hope so. I do not want to say goodbye to this family. Plus, I’d love to see a lot more Jenny and Annie.

Talk about a cliff hanger! I love these kind of books because the anticipation and angst builds up for the next book. Let’s just say David F’d up everything! I love Sutton and feel her mourning. She is trying so hard to live especially for her little guy. I was hoping the guy to bring her out of her shell would be David. When the end came, I am not so sure anymore.
The passion between these two characters still have me wanting the outcome to be a HEA for these two. But I am not sure that is in the cards for these two. The Wright Love is about loss, love, truth, and betrayal. The sexual chemistry between Sutton and David will have you turning on your A/C. I have come to love the Wright family and Sutton always broke my heart. I can not wait for book two to see if she is finally freed.

Ever since Sutton lost Maverick and was forced to live the rest of her life without her soul mate, being a single parent to Jason, the little boy who looks so much like his daddy, I’ve desperately wanted her story…I needed to see how she was coping…how she was dealing with the grief and overwhelming loss that seemed to be eating her alive.
And while Sutton has endured for the past year, she’s not the Sutton Wright she once was, and she’ll never be that one again, and while she understands her life will be drastically different from the one she had, she wants to do more than survive the grief…do more than be the shattered mess she is – the one who is numb and alone…the one whose fake smile doesn’t fool anyone…the one who second guesses everything and has too much baggage to weather through in order to live again.
But despite Sutton’s fears, despite her sadness and grief, despite the broken shell of a butterfly she currently is, she desperately wants to spread her wings again…to mend her broken pieces and feel love again, and there’s no better man to help her with her newfound perspective than the man who has been her constant source of comfort, friendship, and unconditional love – David Calloway
Without David’s companionship, I’m not sure if Sutton would have made it out of her grief, but now that she’s slowly working to live freer and feel more alive, she’s faced with a new set of difficulties – moving on from her first love and attempting to allow another man into her heart, and that whole idea terrifies her…makes her second guess her decisions and the feelings that seem to have flourished despite the mournful state she’s been in since she lost Maverick.
As much as David plays a pivotal role in The Wright Love, this is very much Sutton’s story. In a way, it’s her reawakening…it’s her acknowledging that she’s young and still has a lot of life ahead of her and she can’t live it like she has been. She needs to find her new way…her new journey, and while that seems to mean that David is a part of her new life, his full role remains blurry because she has to be able to go forward, not completely letting go of the past but not holding on too much so that she can’t be happy in her present, even if it’s one she never thought she would have.
K.A. Linde does such a fantastic job illustrating Sutton’s emotional upheaval and the conflicting feelings she must endure as she attempts to let Maverick go, even a little bit, as she works for a new normal. There’s nothing straightforward about the situation Sutton’s in, nor is there a universal guidebook on how to manage the loss of your husband and move on in a manner in which other people agree with…every single aspect of life is different for everyone, and so the fact that Sutton’s processing of Maverick’s death is too quick or too slow is absurd…it just is how Sutton is coping…how Sutton is grieving and it will be how Sutton needs to move on when she’s ready, not anyone else.
I’m not sure where Sutton and David’s relationship is headed, especially with the little reveal that happens at the end of book one, but I trust in what Sutton and David are building and I believe that what’s in plain sight is not the full story, so I can’t wait to see what is.

While I have been excited for a while now for the last story in the Wright Brothers books, I am also sad to see this series come to an end. The last story Kyla has for us is perhaps one of the most devastating stories of the Wrights, Suttons. Sutton is left a widow at a very young age to care for and navigate without her husband. She is such a strong character, yet you can feel her heartbreak throughout book 1 of her story. When she’s finally ready to move on, what she didn’t expect was to fall for one of her close friends who has been there for her since her husband’s untimely death, and works for Wright Construction, David Calloway. David has been drawn to Sutton for a long time, but has yet to approach her about anything more. Her husband has only been gone a year, and David could tell she wasn’t ready. But when things start to slowly fall into place for these two, the chemistry is phenomenal. The heartbreak Sutton still has over the loss, weighs on her as she tries to move on. And of course, we get a cliffhanger at the end of part 1 that leaves you spinning. I can’t wait to read the conclusion of this in 2 weeks! Sutton and David deserve their HEA, but with their history and a few twists that Kyla has thrown in, we must wait to see how this will all end.

Son of a biscuit eater! I have kids! This is my way of cursing! I knew I’d love Sutton’s story. So far, I love half of it. Let’s be honest though, we knew this type of ending was coming. K.A. Linde can’t go too long without leaving us with an angsty ending! I think she starts getting twitchy if she hasn’t received a threat to receive a box full of dicks in the mail lately. Which is exactly what she’s getting! I knew it was coming and I still wasn’t ready for it!
Sutton and David. Even when the book was about a different Wright sibling, I could feel the connection between these two. Sutton is damaged right now. Who wouldn’t be after tragically losing your best friend and lover, father of your child. David is just there for her. He doesn’t expect anything. Doesn’t try to say they right words. Doesn’t try to force her to move on at a certain speed. It’s almost as if he really understands the pain and grief that she’s going through.
Sutton was a bit back and forth, slightly hesitant to start anything. It’s not just herself that she has to think about. David was the ever perfect gentleman. I love the way he is with Jason and how encouraging he is with Sutton. He doesn’t pressure her. He knows when to back off. And then a bomb was dropped. Like, left my mouth hanging open kind of bomb. I sat there, blankly staring at my phone for about 5 minutes just trying to process what I’d just read. It wasn’t happening. Then I read ‘The End’. Of course it would end on that note. I guess we’ll get our answers in a few weeks…thankfully.

I have been a huge fan of this series. I love this family and their devotion to each other. Even the significant others have always been a part of this family. I knew Sutton’s story was going to be hard to read since she was so happily married in the early books, until tragedy struck her.
David has been interested in Sutton since the day he met her…the day her husband died. He has always been there for her as a friend. When Sutton finally starts to look at David as something more, he couldn’t be happier.
This is part 1 of a duet and does end with a cliffhanger. I loved the story building and Sutton starting to live again. I loved that David has really stayed around for her as a friend for the last year. He has been her rock. This story melted my heart and I can’t wait to see what happens in part 2!
K.A. Linde
The Wright Love I’ve been waiting not so patiently for this book . Sutton and Davids story gave me everything and the angst Gahhhh!! One thing I love about KA linde is she gives the best angst . But more than that a bit of everything from emotion to HOT sexiness and family . It always feels like going home when I read another Wright family book . But that Cliffy eeeeek! I’m all for a good CH , now to wait and find out if they get their HEA !!!
Ms linde has done it again with this amazing read!
“just because I can manage a fake smile doesn’t mean I’m okay”
wow what a great start to sutton’s story, ms linde has had me addicted to this series right from the start.
sutton’s story has all the feels and I knew going into it I would be addicted, sad, happy and loving it all at once!
David makes me swoon so much.
this is part one of a duet, but don’t fret book 2 is out in a few weeks.
I highly recommend anything written by this author she never seems to fail on delivering a great read.
Omg Sutton!!! I knew I would like her she’s a Wright.. BUT I didn’t kn I was going to love her!! She’s awesome.. she’s a strong mama.. she does what’s right for her kid.. she’s real.. she wants but don’t want to take..
David is an awesome Character as well.. but I never expected what comes from him thru out the book.. it’s shocking and unbelievable! I absolutely can’t wait for The Wright One to release so I get to finish it up!
4.5 Poison Apples
