A sexy new contemporary romance duet from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde… the first book in the Wright Love Duet, and Sutton and David’s story will conclude in The Wright One—coming May 29th! Get ready for your newest binge read.
“She was sunshine on a cloudy day. And I was in shadow when she was absent.”
The author’s prediction was correct, I binged, and then I was left hanging from the cliff. Yeah, I knew it in advance, so it was no surprise. You know what they say about curiosity, right? I gobbled it up, flipping pages and getting drawn in, forgetting I wouldn’t get my answers ‘wright’ away. And now my mind is full of so many questions and possibilities.
And while I was left hanging, I wasn’t totally shocked when it happened. The author tells the story in multiple POV, so I was inside their heads to a degree. I knew that there were secrets being kept, but unless they thunk them, I wasn’t privy to knowing them. It was like a trail of breadcrumbs I was trying to follow, but a damn bird was eating them before I could get to my final destination. But let me tell you, what fun I am having with my guesses.
And that’s not the only fun I had reading this first book in the Wright Love duet. I really really enjoyed meeting the Wright family and their significant others. What a great group of characters that I want to spend more time with. And let’s not forget the time I’ve already spent with them. I wish I could tell you about it, but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
The way things were left hanging, I’m not sure what’s gonna happen next. But there’s nothing you can do to convince me that David’s not the #WrightOne. The problem though will be convincing Sutton. I already tried giving her a heads-up, but as usual, the characters never listen to me. But don’t worry, that doesn’t stop me from providing endless unsolicited advice. I’ll be on standby, just in case, when their story resumes. The line forms here…

Okaaayyy…I wasn’t expecting that ending…at all…
But I’m getting ahead of myself…kind of.
Give me a second.
Let’s rewind.
I love the Wrights and even though the reason Sutton was getting a book (well, two books) was heartbreaking I couldn’t help but be all kinds of excited for it – especially since David was going to be the man of the hour – and I wasn’t disappointed in anyway. It deals with the loss of a loved one and the emotional rollercoaster that one goes one because of it, but it was tempered with humor, heart, hope and a nice dose of heat to keep things interesting
I really liked Sutton the first time I met her. I loved that she was a free spirit and had a strong sense of self. The Sutton we meet here is one who is still in mourning and yet is ready to live and be truly happy again. It isn’t easy for her, especially with so many people wanting to put their two cents in, but she listens to her heart and her gut tonsrt her on the right path.
David. I ADORE David. This man is just a really, really good man. He’s compassionate, determined, observant and patient. His past hasn’t been perfect, and he’s made choices that not everyone in his life was a fan of, but he is right where he wants to be.
Their journey, thus far, has been all kinds of swoon worthy. Yes, there were times where the thought of pulling out my hair in frustration was very, very strong (no tossing the Kindle in the freezer because I was work), but it was part of the process, and necessary to get them to the next level. I loved David and Dutton together. There was an easy to their interactions, even as the sexual chemistry between them simmered below the surface. And then came THAT cliffy.
*Deep breath in, deep breath out* yeah that cliffy is a thing and though it was a total WTF moment, it was brilliantly done. So even as I am cursing the author for it, I am also kowtowing down to her for how it all played out.
There is sooooo much more I want to say, but I can’t. So, I really enjoyed Sutton’s journey. I think Ms. Linde did an excellent job with it. I loved hanging out with the Wright’s, their significant others and their friends. Jenny and Annie and Jason was just too cute! So to finish before I spoil something I’m totally #TeamDavid and #TeamSuttonandDavid and I really, REALLY need The Wright One on my Kindle, like, now.

My heart was broken for Sutton when she lost her husband and I only hoped you would let David in. This book had my heart on edge because I could not imagine what she was going through and how she would react when she did let him in. I could not wait to read the conclusion.

Sutton is the youngest of the Wrights and she is a single mom. Her husband Maverick tragically died because of heart failure, so she’s trying to move on from this fateful event and be happy for her 2 year old son Jason. It’s hard, but during the months following the death of her husband, Sutton gets to know David Calloway, the new CFO of Wright Construction, who helps her with her son so that she can try to distract a bit.
Sutton is a strong character and she’s been cute and snarky in the books where her husband was still alive. You could tell she loved him very much and that it hurt her deeply to have lost him. After a year, she finally decides that she’ll try to date again because she’s ready to love another man. That man ends up being none other than David, who is the only guy with whom she had been close to during the aftermath of the accident and he’s the only one who doesn’t look at her with pity in his eyes. Despite being 24, Sutton is a good mom and she thinks about her son’s well-being, but of course she still fears about the future and wants to take it slow with David.
David is the CFO of the company and we met him in The Wright Mistake, after Jensen decides he’s not going to be the CEO anymore. Everyone likes him and he’s sort of become part of the Wright family after the year he spent in the company, so nobody complains when he and Sutton are together.
Naturally, it would be too easy if there weren’t any issues. This book ended with a cliffhanger that I don’t honestly saw coming. I can’t comment on it because it would be a spoiler, but I’ll just say I hated a bit how everyone reacted. But I knew that we’ll get our happy ending in the last book, so I’ll read that one right now.
Only thing that I don’t get. Why split this book into two parts? Together they would have had around 400 pages or so, which isn’t too long for a romance book. Don’t know why authors tend to split books. Whatever.

I have loved the Wrights since the very first book, and Sutton’s story was the one I anticipated the most. Not only did I get my wish, but K.A. Linde is giving us a duet! While I have been impatiently waiting to read this book, I’ve also been a bit nervous. I knew this one would be different, and I went in expecting an emotional rollercoaster.
Sutton is the baby in the Wright family, and the one who has suffered the most. Raised by her siblings after her mother’s early death, and father’s raging alcoholism, she shocked everyone by getting pregnant & having a shotgun wedding with her college sweetheart. Proving everyone wrong, she embraced motherhood & her new family, until tragedy struck and left her a single mother.
David Calloway is the CFO at Wright Construction. His introduction to the family was on that horrible day a year ago, and he has been trying to help Sutton cope ever since. A shoulder to cry on, reliable babysitter, friendly distraction. He’s the only person who doesn’t tell her she needs to move on and seems to understand what she’s going through.
As the anniversary of her husband’s death approaches, Sutton must face her feelings. Does she want to continue being the broken hearted widow, or try to move on? With friends telling her it’s time, and in laws telling her it’s too soon, Sutton struggles with following her head or her heart.
I was expecting a lot more angst in this book, a lot more tears, but there was actually a perfect balance. I felt for Sutton throughout the book, her emotions almost palpable. And that ending! This is the ultimate cliffhanger, and I’m counting down the days for the conclusion.

I’ve been anticipating Sutton’s book for a while now and I cannot wait for book two. I can’t imagine being in Sutton’s shoe at any age, let alone 24. I hate the events leading up to TWL but without them there’d be no Sutton and David. My favorite thing about TWL was the ending. It’s just a tiny little cliffhanger but most of all it was not what I expected the OMG moment was going to be.

The Wright Love is my first experience with K.A. Linde’s writing and it definitely won’t be my last. Sutton and David’s story is not just a romance story. It’s a story about moving forward with life after the devastating and difficult times the universe can throw at you. There are some heavier moments in this book, but there are also a lot of fun moments to balance them out.
Aaron Shedlock and Lynn Barrington did a fantastic job with the audiobook narration for this story. They really brought the characters and their emotions to life.

Let me start this review off with this… The Wright Love Duet can be read as a standalone from K.A. Linde’s Wright series. That being said, my honest opinion is that you need to read the Wright series in order to fully enjoy Sutton & David’s love story.
So, we finally have Sutton’s story!! I have to tell you, Sutton is the Wright that I was a bit curious about. I feel like if I tell you her background, it will totally ruin things for you….
Sutton blew my mind! Throughout the duet, Sutton finds herself again (with David’s help) after a major event happens in her life.
David… What can I tell you about him… I think that he was the perfect guy for Sutton and her son. I loved David so much when I first read him. I wanted him to become a Wright so bad! I loved how patient he was with Sutton and her son. He really brought the best out in both of them.
K.A. Linde has a way of taking a very simple story and twisting it with emotion that takes you on a journey that you never forget. David and Sutton were simply perfect!

This story does end on a cliffy!! Have The Wright One waiting in the wings. You will need it right away!! I promise you will thank me!

The Wright family is one that I’ve learned to love so much as I read each book about the siblings finding their happy ever afters. And the one I was so eager for was Sutton’s. Her story is absolutely heartbreaking and if you’ve read The Wright Secret, you know exactly what I’m talking about. For such a loss that Sutton went through, I was expecting a bit more angst, but that little bit didn’t stop me from enjoying the first part of this duet. I’d say it was just the right amount of angst to carry me through The Wright Love.
I gotta say, what is up with the authors writing duets this year, I’m noticing quite the trend. But I can’t say that I hate them because they have all been absolutely amazing to read.
I’ve been so anxious to read Sutton’s story and the first chapter absolutely killed me! I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting to get my heart obliterated in the first chapter. It was like watching the beginning of the movie Up … prepare yourself for those tears to fall. But I will say that this was my favorite chapter, we truly see what Sutton is feeling. And what we’ll see more of as she makes her journey of grieving and possibly moving on. I felt bad for Sutton, even though she had the best support from her family and friends, there were a couple outside opinions that moved her towards doubting herself. Not only with trying to move forward in her life to be happy again, but as a mom. And that was just unbelievably unfair to her. Everyone grieves differently and move on their own time.
I loved David so much. He came into the Wright’s lives, in my opinion, at the best time. He’s been such a solid support and friend to Sutton, even to help watch her adorable boy, Jason. He was so patient with her and left everything up to her when it came for them moving forward. The ONE thing that ticked me off about David was the secret he was keeping and it was a pretty big one, which blew up in his face. Honesty, my friend, is a powerful thing.
And now we must wait until their conclusion story to see what happens! The Wright Love had all the feels that I look for in a book. David and Sutton are perfectly matched for each other. All K.A. Linde fans will love their story. Plus, we get to see the Wright gang; gosh, I love them!

4.5 – Amazingly Addictive, Satisfyingly Sweet, and So Adorably Sexy
The first book I read from this author was a vampire paranormal romance story, Blood Type. That book completely took my breath away and left me craving for more. When I saw the opportunity to read and review this duet, I didn’t hesitate one bit and immediately signed up. I just knew that I would enjoy it as much as Blood Type… and I absolutely did!
This book was EVERYTHING I had hoped it would be and more….SO MUCH MORE. K.A. Linde is without a doubt one of my favorite new authors this year and I am so utterly in love with her gorgeous and captivating writing style. I just cannot get enough of all the FEELS in her stories and this one definitely did not disappoint.
The Wright Love is such an achingly beautiful story about grief, family, friendship, hope and love. It’s incredibly well-written and the plot is well-paced with the perfect blend of angst, drama, humor and heart. And this book absolutely has HEART… and A LOT of it.
I loved Sutton and David. They were strong solid characters – likeable, genuine, realistic and really relatable. Their chemistry together was fantastic and I really enjoyed getting to know them as individuals, seeing their relationship progress, and swooning after every spine tingling moment and kiss. They were super adorable and so real that I couldn’t help but fall completely and head over heels in love with their story.
The supporting characters were really great too and I absolutely adored them. They each had their own quirks and were extremely likable. I also really enjoyed the awesome friendships, family dynamics and the bantering between the siblings was so endearing. I love reading about family relationships and this family… most definitely stole piece of my heart. I cannot wait to pick up the other Wright books and get to know them all.
This book was a delightful and entertaining read from start to finish. The Wright Love made my heart ache and filled it with hope and love at the same time. It’s amazingly addictive, satisfyingly sweet, and so adorably sexy. I loved every moment and cannot wait to see how Sutton and David’s story end.
If you enjoy stories with phenomenal writing, fantastic characters, realistic scenarios, amazing FEELS, and heartbreaking plot twists, then I highly suggest you pick this book up rigth now.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from Inkslinger Blogger Program in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Wright Love is a the first of two books in the Wright Love Duet. I have been patiently waiting (NOT!) for K.A. Linde to finally finish Sutton Wright’s story. The story is sweet, emotional, steamy, and I read it all in one sitting. The characters Sutton and David were realistic and likeable. I could feel their feeling pouring off the pages. They were just so perfect for eachother. I like that all the past family members are in eachother’s books. I really can’t wait to read the conclusion The Wright One to find out how their story is going to play out. I’m enjoying this series.

David is like the sweetest man, “good. I’m glad to hear that. I want to be with you, too.” He brought my hand to his lips and started to kiss every single digit. “But I’m always going to put your well-being above my own. I want to do right by you.” Sometimes Sutton just has to spread her good news around, “I got laid!” I cried. Then, suddenly, all the girls were in on it, cheering me on for having had *** yesterday.” Sutton really likes going into detail on things, “yeah,” Sutton said with a shrug. “I went in-depth with the length and breadth of your ***k. She’s probably trying not to visualize.” I really need book two, that was wow, wasn’t expecting that one.

Whew! My stomach was in knots for this whole book but it was so worth it! I’ve been rooting for Sutton this whole time even when my heart was breaking for her. Will she embrace her second chance? Walk away? Will her grief blind her for the rest of her life? Ugh. Such a roller coaster. So so good!!

Holy cow! I have been waiting for this book by K.A. Linde, so I was so excited when it came out. I have just four words: She blew me away!!!! She far exceeded all my expectations.
I got to know Sutton just a little bit in the previous book, and I knew she was special. I was right. Sutton lived a fairy tale at one time. She had a wonderful life, a loving husband and a son she adored. One day that tragically ended when her husband died. For the past year, she has been in a fog of grief. Linde did an excellent job of making me feel that heavy weight. My heart hurt for Sutton and her son. Thankfully, she has had a great support group of family and friends. One of her closest sources of strength is David. He has been there with her, letting her lean on him when necessary, and he loves spending with her toddler son. However, David is hiding a secret, he is in love with her. She has finally decided she wants to live again, but will she ever see how David really feels?
David is a great character! He is incredibly good looking, but what attracted me most to him was his heart. He is so patient and tender with Sutton, allowing her to take things at her own pace. He would rather have her in his life as a friend rather than losing her.
Their chemistry is sizzling. I could feel the electricity between them. As Sutton allows David to get closer to her, a secret I never saw coming is exposed. What an ending!!!! Never fear, this isn’t the end of Sutton and David’s journey. The conclusion is coming very soon!!!! I can’t wait to read it!!!!

“You are the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on.”
When it comes to sexy contemporary romance, K.A. Linde has got you covered! In her latest release, Ms. Linde has once again, STOLE MY HEART with her impeccable storytelling and amazing characters! I feel like I’ve been waiting for David and Sutton’s story for forever, but a single day can feel like forever when you ADORE these characters as much as I do.
I was nervous, excited, and pumped to start THE WRIGHT LOVE, which is book one is the Wright Love Duet! I have to say, I’m SO GLAD that the author broke their story down to two books because I feel like Sutton’s happily ever after is going to be a very hard-fought one, for sure. She’s coming back from something so tragic and David has to give his ALL to break down her walls and to help her love again.
It’s heartbreaking. It’s beautiful. It’s only the beginning. And I can’t wait to see how it all turns out. I want nothing but the best for Sutton Wright. She’s been through so much and I feel like a lot of readers will adore her and will relate to her on so many levels. I’m rooting for David. I have since the very beginning. I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about these two beautiful characters. I have no doubt that Ms. Linde will give them a happily ever after to remember!

I have been waiting for Sutton’s story ever since I met her in The Wright Brother; book one of The Wright series. She piqued my curiosity from the start and it was further enhanced when tragedy struck taking her husband from her. My heart wept for her and throughout the series I hoped she recovers from the loss and discover the beauty of love the second time around. When I discovered that her story would be published soon, I eagerly waited for that moment when I would have this beautiful story in my possession, and it was worth the wait.
It has been a year since tragedy struck and changed Sutton’s life. She is a widow and a single mom mourning the loss of her husband. She is aware she needs to start living again, but she is not sure how to proceed. She made a few attempts, but fear had a crippling effect on her decisions. However, with the help of David Sloane, CFO of Wright Construction, she made progress.
David Sloane moved to West Texas to get a fresh start. I knew he had secrets, and I was curious to discover what he was hiding. Despite this, I found him to a likeable character. He made himself available for Sutton to lean on during her time of mourning. During this time, they developed a bond. His patience with her was a testament to his love for her, but his secrets had the power to damage their friendship and budding relationship.
Sutton and David had awesome chemistry. Sutton is a remarkable person. I admired her strength. Moving on from the loss of a loved one is never easy, but she tried to not only for the sake of her son but also for herself.
I knew the story would end in a cliff-hanger and I honestly thought I was prepared, but I was wrong. I never for a moment expected such a massive bombshell. Now I am left wondering what next will happen and I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel. Thank goodness I do not have long to wait.
Conclusion/Recommendation
The Wright Love is a heart-warming story of loss, healing and second chances. If you are looking for a story filled with lovable characters and in the process tug on your emotions, then pick up this book. I can’t wait to discover what next is in store for David and Sutton
“She was sunshine on a cloudy day. And I was in shadow when she was absent.”
