Captured by Comanche as a child, Molly Hart was assumed dead. Ten years later, Texas Ranger Matt Ryan finds a woman with the same blue eyes.Ten years have passed since Molly Hart’s ranch was attacked, her folks murdered and she was abducted. Now, at nineteen, she’s finally returning home to North Texas after spending the remainder of her childhood with a tribe of Kwahadi Comanche. What she finds … she finds is a deserted home coated with dust and the passage of time, the chilling discovery of her own gravesite, and the presence of a man she thought never to see again.
Matt Ryan is pushed by a restless wind to the broken-down remains of the Hart ranch. Recently recovered from an imprisonment that nearly ended his life, the drive for truth and fairness has all but abandoned him. For ten years he faithfully served the U.S. Army and the Texas Rangers, seeking justice for the brutal murder of a little girl, only to find closure and healing beyond his grasp. Returning to the place where it all began, he’s stunned to encounter a woman with the same blue eyes as the child he can’t put out of his mind.
A sensual historical western romance set in 1877 Texas.

I love the book …it was awesome reading it …reading the others in the series .
I liked the concept and the characters. I learned a bit about history and in general I found the story interesting. I came away with a feeling that I wanted to know much more about Native Americans an the settlers who displaced them.
Not sure how realistic it would be for a girl to be kidnapped and sold and still remain a virgin, but I like westerns, so I just went with it.
This entire series was wonderful!
Great story. I could hardly put the book down. Loved it.
Couldn’t put it down. I was so enamored with the characters , I have started reading the other books in the series.
I really enjoyed this book I wish it went on and on. Thanks
I won a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to give a favorable review. All thoughts are my own. This is a wonderful story that is well written. Molly was a young girl when her parents were killed on their ranch and she was kidnapped. She didn’t know what happened to both her parents and her sisters. The men that kidnapped her, some were killed and others got away from a group of Comanche. She was finally was able to get back to some normallcy when a man bought her to save her life. But then he passed and she decided she needed to get back to Texas. When she gets to the ranch she fines it run down and her parents grave site. But the biggest shock is finding Matthew the young man she cared for when she was taken, she lost 10 years of being around. He didn’t believe she was a live at first. This is a beautiful story of overcoming loss, finding realness again, and helping another young person along the way. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series to find out what happens both with Molly & Matt, but also her Claire the young woman she helped, her baby sister Emma, and reconnecting with her older sister Mary
It’s a sweet slow romance and well written. You can tell Kristy did research on the lives during the western era.
Enjoyed this book enough that I did purchase the sequel.
It was a story that entertwined several stories of different lives. It had lots of adventure, sadness, and women and men overcoming extreme hardships. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was a new author for me. I tried the book because it was western, something I hadn’t read in a while. I felt drawn to the heroin who had returned to her home years after her everyone believed her dead. She must work hard to convince her former neighbors of who she is, especially the older boy she romanticized about as a 10 year old girl. There is much sadness in this story but an ending to please any fan of historical romance.
A great book to escape for a few minutes into another world where everything works out in the end with a few unexpected twists.
Good story.
Great story, really enjoyed it
!!
Well written historical novel. I couldn’t put it down until it ended. Can’t wait to read other stories by this author.
I like this book because there was a mystery and some twists and turns along the way to keep things interesting, entertaining and a page turner for the mystery.
I’ve read the series set in the west circa 1800. Pioneer families making homes in Texas with handsome, rugged cowboys and damsel in distress with a twist of suspense and romance. Very easy read and a believable plot.
Great story and easily sets up the rest of the series.
Enjoyed this book
