Captured by Comanche as a child, Molly Hart was assumed dead. Ten years later, Texas Ranger Matt Ryan finds a woman with the same blue eyes.Ten years have passed since Molly Hart’s ranch was attacked, her folks murdered and she was abducted. Now, at nineteen, she’s finally returning home to North Texas after spending the remainder of her childhood with a tribe of Kwahadi Comanche. What she finds … she finds is a deserted home coated with dust and the passage of time, the chilling discovery of her own gravesite, and the presence of a man she thought never to see again.
Matt Ryan is pushed by a restless wind to the broken-down remains of the Hart ranch. Recently recovered from an imprisonment that nearly ended his life, the drive for truth and fairness has all but abandoned him. For ten years he faithfully served the U.S. Army and the Texas Rangers, seeking justice for the brutal murder of a little girl, only to find closure and healing beyond his grasp. Returning to the place where it all began, he’s stunned to encounter a woman with the same blue eyes as the child he can’t put out of his mind.

This story was so well written with various turns and plots. It kept me guessing to the end and the outcome was much different than what I expected! A good read and a story that will stay in my heart a while.
This story made me think about the mixed feelings and connections a person can have when they have lived an unusual life with very diverse conditions.
Very good story. From beginning to end I had to keep turning the page. Recommened for anyone who loves cowboys/westerns and a good romance.
The Wren drew me in so much I just had to read the rest of the series. A case of long-ago switched identities, a twist I didn’t see coming, and powerful characters make this book a compelling read.
McCaffrey tells a great story! I love the characters in this western and how real they feel. I definitely recommend this book to my friends who enjoy historical romances.
This is the 1st book in Wings of the West series. All of the books are stand alone but reading the series in order adds to the character building for the other books. The description of the scenery in all the books is amazing but written so well I can imagine that I’m there. In the Wren specifically the history of Indian and white settlers is excellent. The H and h become your book friends, deep and likable.
I enjoyed the characters and the wonderfully descriptive world. I felt like everything came fully to life and each part of the story was rich and compelling. I appreciate the introduction to this author and look forward to reading more adventures in the series. Thank you!
This book is part of a series but can be read on its own. The best part is the author gives a bonus chapter that ties everything up. The characters were great and the story line moved at a good pace. I did not want to put it down and was able to read it in two days.
enjoyed the characters and easy good read.
I wanted to read the next book but haven’t yet

After finding answers for why no one searched for her, enduring cruelty, and facing unbelievable danger, will she find peace, answers, and love! The characters are bigger than life, handsome and heroes, also there are evil and cruel men. Whom to trust? For everyone is not who they seem! Be prepared for surprises and unexpected adventures. Does she have the strength to fight for what she wants! For only the strongest survive?
This is one of my favorite books! I loved reading it and was so. Happy with the bonus information. I just wish I had a paperback copy.

This was an unforgettable and emotional first read for me by Kristy McCaffrey and it was free! This is the first book of the series and is perma-free on several retailers’ websites. I was so captivated by Matt and Molly’s story that I have already purchased the 2nd book, The Dove, and I have no doubt that I will read the entire series. It is always gratifying to lose myself in an enthralling western romance while discovering the storytelling talents of an author that is new to me. Take advantage of this free book, which can be read as a standalone, but be prepared to get hooked on this exciting series.
Thoroughly enjoyed, will read more about these characters. Thanks
They were meant to meet again. Lots of western history. Love history, westerns and romance. It’s a winner.
Wonderful read!
