Carly Holbrook and Brian Westbury are weeks away from their high school graduation. The young couple plans to marry before they head to college, and their future seems bright with promise. Everything changes one spring night when their six closest friends, including Brian’s younger brother, are killed in a fiery car accident that Carly and Brian witness. The trauma leaves Carly unable to speak, … speak, and Brian is forced to make unimaginable decisions about a future that once seemed so certain. With Carly incapable of going forward with their plans, Brian leaves home—and Carly—for good. Fifteen years later, disturbing new clues indicate the accident that wrecked so many lives wasn’t an accident at all, bringing Brian home to face a past—and a love—he’s never forgotten.

Totally enjoyed this book! Couldn’t put it down! Didn’t figure out until near the end who the bad guy was…this was a good thing.
Every book that I have read from this author is just fantastic! This book is no different! It’s unlike her other books (Gansett Island series) but I truly found it a page turner with a little suspense! Loved it and highly recommend!
Loved the haunting 15 year mystery woven through a love story. Ms force kept me guessing until the final pages. Great clues that I missed but they were masterfully hidden.
This book was amazing! I almost read in one sitting. I fell asleep with 2 chapters left last night. I felt that Brian and Carly’s relationship was heartfelt. Their emotions… I cried when the wreck happened, I cried when she wouldn’t talk to him, I cried when he left, I cried when he came back… I pretty much cried thru the whole book! I was …
Marie Force created a beautiful tearjerker. I have read this book three or four times. The characters become your family, friends and neighbors. You will enjoy the book and rejoice in the ending.
I loved this book. It was a realistic, emotional and gripping story about love, loss and family dynamics. I thought I had the bad guy figured out, but she got me.
Thank you for this lovely book. An emotional rollercoaster indeed. A heartwarming tear-jerking story of highschool sweethearts Brian and Carly who were reunited after 15 years. Faced with tragedies, sadness and regret, their undying love for each other brought them together. I cried throughout and wasn’t able to put the book down.
I love all of Marie Force’s books!
love her books!
Well done plot that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time!
I loved this book! To think that a tragedy that caused so much pain and anguish was not the accident it appeared. It was a tragedy that touched so many and affected those closest to the ones who had died for a decade and a half! Then to find it was not the accident it appeared to be! And the culprit was someone they all knew and trusted! It …
ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS
Didn’t expect to sit and read the whole book! Started the story and couldn’t put it down. Nice twist…. really didn’t see it coming. I would recommend this to anyone!
First time reading from this author and could not put the book down. Read it through to the end in one night!
Another Homerun for Marie Force. Although it was a heart rending read, I just loved the story. The people were so real and struggled to overcome true adversity that you had to suffer along with them. Thanks to Marie for putting family squabbles into perspective.
The Wreck was an amazing read. I did guess right on who the criminal was but I still had some doubts. Didn’t want to put this book down. Wonderful story.
