Every family has things they can’t talk about. Or won’t.
For Clara Martin, the prospect of moving to New York from snowy Chicago is her only option after losing her bakery job. Resigned to her fate, she prepares to go…until a chance encounter with endangered horses reminds her of a letter she received from her friend, Sadie, asking her to come to Tombstone, Arizona Territory, to marry a horse … a horse wrangler, sight unseen.
For Hank Archer, the only son of gentleman rancher Beau Archer, riding the trail has taken its toll. He wants more than anything to stay put on the ranch and when his grandfather leaves him property nearby, he hopes it will be a way to start a new life. The only problem is that to inherit the property, he has to be married.
When Hank’s plans begin to crumble, he finds out that his new bride knows more about horses than he realized. And about people. Can she bring them all together and help Hank realize his dream?

I enjoyed this book, can’t wait to read more of Cindy’s books
Sweet story. Easy to read. Found that the husband frequently put the wishes of others before his mail order bride’s wishes or needs.
I really have enjoyed all the books in this series so far and plan to read them all. I love romance books with few sex scenes (you’ve read one, you’ve read them all – just takes up plot space) with happy endings. I was very surprised to find that I really do like books about mail-order brides!
Great read.
A nice story but basically the same story different version of the first in the series. I was hoping for something new. Very good to read as a stand alone.
I enjoyed the book.
This book is a warm look at mail order marriage. A quick read!
Liked it. Was realistic.
Book was just like I thought it would be since I have read the other two in this series. They are a sweet romance with a strong female lead. I personally like a little bit more fire in both my lead characters and don’t for the sexual chemistry next time.
Good clean romance book
Easy to understand what was going on. Fantastic detail of characters and locations without going overboard. Read in entirety without putting it down.
Great story with well developed characters and setting!!!
No surprises, no twists easy predictable read. I felt nothing between the two main characters
The Wrangler’s Mail Order Bride Cindy Caldwell
Definitely a beach or poolside read. An okay plot, with okay characters. Everything solved and wrapped up with a pretty little bow at the end, with a setup for the third book of the series.
There’s not a lot of character development, and some may think character development isn’t possible in a romance of less than 300 pages. I disagree.
Beau Archer comes off as incredibly creepy and pervy at the beginning, and that really turned me off. I was glad to see him become a nice old man at the end.
What I really enjoyed about this book is that Clara stood her ground and had faith in her decisions. I also liked the lack of “bodice ripper” content. I’d have no problem letting my 14 year old daughter (if I had one) reading this.
It’s not a five star in my book, but I’d read more from Caldwell if I had the chance.
Everything worked out too perfectly. Clara and Hank had no flaws either. It was rather boring and frustrating.
Fast paced, light reading. Romanic, but no passion.
Typical romance about cowboy and wife.
Nice story if you want to read a slice of life story. It is an easy read and reads a lot like a wholesome youth book. I recommend it for anyone who wants a pleasant read without much conflict where everyone is happy. Sometimes you just need to relax and not think too much. This book should do the trick.
boring, predictable Not well written.
