“Absolutely gripping.” —Louise Penny
For readers of Gillian Flynn and Tana French comes one of the decade’s most anticipated debuts, to be published in thirty-six languages around the world and already in development as a major film from Fox: a twisty, powerful Hitchcockian thriller about an agoraphobic woman who believes she witnessed a crime in a neighboring house.
It isn’t paranoia if it’s really happening . . .
Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.
Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.
What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.
Twisty and powerful, ingenious and moving, The Woman in the Window is a smart, sophisticated novel of psychological suspense that recalls the best of Hitchcock.

I came too close to identifying with her that’s why I found it haunting. There were almost too many twists and yet I knew how it would end. The writing was a bit testy, as if she tried too hard.
Had trouble putting this one down. Good read.
This book kept me engaged and I marveled as each piece of the story was told. Though the story was sad I wasn’t scared until the end of it when I realized all of the evil in play. I definitely intend to read more of AJ Finn.
Loved this Book
This one kept me guessing and a few of the twists were very surprising. I never was sure if Anna really saw what she thought or was it all in her imagination. Good book.
Loved this s book as it was unusual and eerie. The character development was phenomenal and grabbed your attention. I don’t like to tell you much of the story line, as I want the reader to enjoy it as much as i did. I plan to read it again!
Enjoyed the twists and turns.
Just when I thought I had it figured out, another twist. Kept me guessing until the end.
great book,
It was great…a true whodunit
Starts a little slow but speeds up and makes some exciting turns. Good read.
Well written
It was very hard to put down. I loved the twists and turns in the plot. You will not want to put it down til the end!!
Riveting read from page one! Keeps you guessing ‘til the end.
Hard to put down
It had a surprising ending. Nail biter very suspenseful
I enjoyed this book while reading it but now, a few weeks later, I don’t remember it that well. For me, it wasn’t a book that stayed on my mind to think about later. I did guess one of the twists about half way through. I would also like to know why every heroine since Girl on the Train has to have a drinking problem. I would highly recommend this for a beach read.
Keeps you guessing until the end.
Great ending
Took awhile to get into, but once I was into it I wanted to know what would happen next. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
