“Absolutely gripping.” —Louise Penny
For readers of Gillian Flynn and Tana French comes one of the decade’s most anticipated debuts, to be published in thirty-six languages around the world and already in development as a major film from Fox: a twisty, powerful Hitchcockian thriller about an agoraphobic woman who believes she witnessed a crime in a neighboring house.
It isn’t paranoia if it’s really happening . . .
Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.
Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.
What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.
Twisty and powerful, ingenious and moving, The Woman in the Window is a smart, sophisticated novel of psychological suspense that recalls the best of Hitchcock.

Lots of twists and turns you don’t see coming
3 1/2 stars, very readable & the tension never let up. I felt it was a bit predictable, but I read a lot of books like this. Character was not like able but that is probably realistic.
The ending was one I dint see coming. Very well done!
Edge of your seat. Waiting to see what happens next. A great mystery and so well written
Predictable
well-written page turner for those who like a thriller. I couldn’t put this book down.
I like this book quite a lot. It was a page turner and I finished it in a few days. Some parts were a bit too easy to figure out, but I liked the characters and the twists and turns.
Lots of twists and turns. Characters offer the surprises. Recommended reading.
This book has a slow start but really picked up! Totally recommend this book
Wonderful, keeps you guessing until
The very end!
Interesting concept. Seemed a little slow/repetitive a couple times in the middle but rapidly became hard to put down.
Couldn’t put this book down. Well written. Very suspenseful.
Great book!!! First time I found myself talking to the characters!! Did not want to put this one down!!! Loved it. Hope I find another one like it real soon!
This is one of those books in which every time you think you have it figured out, oops you are wrong.. This is a page turner which never ceases to surprise. The characters are all just a bit off which makes it even more suspenseful. Loved this book. Sorry when it ended.
A very sloooow read
Surprising and interesting look into a mental disorder I knew very little about.
This book is very suspenseful and interesting. I was not sure I would like it at all. But I did. There is a good twist at the end. I will read more by this author.
Excellent work, well-written with a tight storyline that draws you in from the first paragraph. I’ve heard this book compared to “The Girl on the Train,” but I think this one is actually better, partly because I found the protagonist more relatable. It’s hard not to draw comparisons to themes from Hitchcock – in fact, old movies like “Rear Window” play a prominent part in the story – but the way this story is presented is original and deftly-handled. The day-to-day business of coping with agoraphobic life as described in the book is quite realistic, and the author does a good job of including the salient points for people who haven’t dealt with it personally. It’s also an excellent portrayal of someone who’s forced to question their perception of reality. Chilling and suspenseful as anything Hitchcock ever did, this is a book I’d highly recommend.
Excellent read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has an unusual storyline which kept me interested and guessing the whole way.
