Nice. Did not want it to end.
This story describes a Tsunami in great detail. I never knew how devastating one could be !
I totally loved this book. Heartbreaking, emotional but ultimately uplifting. I was completely immersed in it, the characters were fabulous, I really related to them. I’ll certainly be looking out for more of Carmel’s books.
Interesting,good characters.
Absolutely loved this book. In fact, reread it a few weeks ago and enjoyed it the second time. Loved the characters, enjoyed the humor along with the sadness. One of my favorites.
a quick read but thoroughly enjoyable
This Is the kind of story that I read with a flutter in my stomach. I just knew something was going to happen, Yap, it did.
Loved the ending!!!
A different look at abuse and how people come together. Enjoyed this.
I think you have to suspend reality a bit to swallow the series of coincidental events in this book. Nevertheless, I found the characters engaging, and truly hoped for the best for *most* of them. It was a good, easy read, but not lighthearted.
I loved this book and have recommended this book to others.
This could be happening behind the closed doors in our neighborhoods. Instills understanding that there are good people out there able and willing to help others. And that there are people that may need our help if we pay more attention to others and see the small signals. A good read about a woman who finally stands up for herself when she begins to trust others and finds strength and courage through friendships.
Very good
A whole different take on tragedy and loss.
I loved this book and how the characters helped each other. It could happen in any neighborhood with domestic abuse and agoraphobia.
I loved this book!
Horrible abusive husband haunts main character, but she makes friends with elusive woman next door. Many plot twists
This book was mostly predictable but still often interesting. It was a quick read. The characters were very interesting and reader “friendly.”
I loved this book
Mysterious and heartwarming oddly. Really worth reading and paying attention to the characters so when it all comes together you just have to put down the book and ponder how amazing life can be.
Good story. Presents a realistic picture of wife abuse and the importance of support and caring assistance.
