The Mountain’s Shadow by Cecilia Dominic is an amazing story I had the privilege to read. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series for me to read. I can not wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi fantasy, thrillers and paranormal romances.

I wanted to like this. Interesting concept, but not enough for me to want to finish.
I did not like the ending at all. I read a book for fantasy not to bring me into the world of reality of today. Covid and flu shots…2020! At that point it was a drop down grade. Very disappointed. Erased all the pleasure from the book.
Interesting twist on the werewolf theme. Author stays on plot with natural human interactions (not porno). Book two had a good price and I bought it.
Interesting! Has a different telling of werewolves. Got the complete series.
It took me a few chapters to really get into it but once I did, I couldn’t put it down!
I’ve read the first two in the series and enjoyed them both. Different take on the paranormal which was a nice change. Well written and easy to read.
“No, wait, what? I can’t just move.”
“One of the frustrating things about research is finding data contradictory to your hypotheses.
“People weren’t supposed to be diagnosed with CLS as adults.”
Mountain’s Shadow – the first in the series by Cecelia Dominick – is a departure for me. Not really a cosy as there’s an edge that cozies don’t usually have; yet it’s not blood and gore enough for your run-of-the-mill paranormal thriller. Which makes it perfect for me!
Dominick’s characters drag you in. Her story development gives you enough clues to do your own sleuthing, while yet allowing a few curve balls to come in from the side lines.
This is the first time I’ve seen the subject matter treated in quite this way, and I must say I liked it. A lot! In truth, it takes something that’s generally compartmentalized in the realm of fantasy and puts it smack dab in the middle of “this could happen!”
The Mountain’s Shadow. Read it. I recommend heartily!

I enjoyed this book. I found the storyline well written and different from your usual werewolf books. The characters are well written as well. I recommend reading.

We have some mystery. Joanie is looking for cure, but now there is a fire. She has inherited some land and goes there to check it out. What is happening to her friend? What is all this mystery here? What really happened to her Grandfather?

Joanie plans to continue her research at her grandfather’s estate because of a fire in her lab and subsequent firing. However, her research isn’t the only thing she will be investigating. The Mountain’s Shadow is an inventive novel that was hard to put down.

Not the usual Lycan story. Well done.
This book starts like getting to the movies 10 min late and feeling Ithe need to catch up because things were rolling. Plot lines galore including trauma, income problems, relationship failure, kidnapping and disappearances of children and other ages, inheritance and I only read 22%. Great best friend. Action, intrigue, villainous corps and some romance kept me engaged to the end. Great entertaining book
