I have always made my own way in life, until I met him.Phelan Cermak is all wrong for me.The wolf shifter protected me when I needed him most. And he’s as hot as hot buttered sin.He loves me, even when I push him away. His penetrating turquoise eyes and sexy drawl get to me.When he says he wants me to be his.But I’m a woman who doesn’t belong anywhere. Not the foster homes where I was raised. Not the … foster homes where I was raised.
Not the brothel where I work.
Not in the arms of the alpha wolf shifter who thinks I’m his fated mate.
Even when he keeps me safe from the evil stalking me.
I can feel his emotions, and I know he’s keeping a secret.
I also can’t stop myself from falling for him.
Am I risking it all if I let love in?

This book was my introduction to the Shifters Enforcers series and the author as well. I’m so glad I found this series. Even though I hadn’t read the previous books in the series, it didn’t take away from me following the storyline in this book. The characters are well developed and the story is engaging and intriguing. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had deadlines on my own books to meet, I probably would have finished this book in a matter of days. I had a hard time putting it down, but I have to limit how much I read so I can get work done. This book does not disappoint.
I loved the relationship that developed between Bubba and Vanessa. I enjoy characters with flaws and baggage and they both had a lot to overcome to be with each other. I loved that it took time for them to finally get together and it wasn’t something that happened quickly. Vanessa definitely plays hard to get. She wants nothing to do with Bubba at first, but eventually comes around. The other part that made this book an enjoyable read was the interaction between Bubba and Vanessa’s twins. I’m excited to see where the next book will take us.
Now that I’ve read this one, I’m excited to start with Book 1 in the Shifter Enforcers series and see what I’ve been missing. I highly recommend this book and this author if you enjoy paranormal romance.
It was a waste of time
I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING BUT ONCE I STARTED READING IT JUST WENT DOWNHILL FOR ME.
Awesome story!!
The Wolf’s Concubine: BWWM Paranormal (Gods and Concubines Book 2) by Erin St. Charles is a Paranormal, Sci-fi, Action & Adventure Romance. Lola and Phelan’s story. A slow paced romance but enjoyable and well-written with a good storyline and likable characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is Phelan Cermak and Delores Black (Lola) story. Earth has went through major changes. Most shifters found settlement towns and the oldest is Perdition, Texas. Perdition has all different types of shifters in it. The other place where the Gods and Godesses are is called Pantheon. No one from Pantheon can enter Perdition without being known. So a shifter can hide there easily. Except with a sheriff who deals with Pantheon secretly for lots of money in his pockets. There is so many secrets to kidnapping and murders as well as slavery. The Vp or HR is Helen Castellano and she is the perfect “bad guy”. You just love to hate her. I thought this is a very good story and can’t wait to read Book 3.

I loved the main characters she made with this one and I was soooo not disappointed. Will sure to read the other books in the series and I would recommend it also to avid paranormal romance readers.

The Wolf’s Concubine is not your typical shifter book.
Phelan is a wolf and has finally found his mate, there’s only one problem, she’s human and doesn’t believe that they’re fated to be together. So he went old and used the time-honored wolf tradition from the old country. “Mating by capture”
Lola is a human who was kidnapped by a wolf shifter. She doesn’t believe in fate.
There’s great chemistry between the two, great story line and how the book developed. A definite must read!

What a surprised ending ! I never saw that coming. This book is a love story about a wolf shifter and a human he is protecting. Lola has been taking care of herself since she was nine yrs. old so she resents having someone else take care of her. She doesn;tt understand about being true mates. Will her independence cause them to fall apart ? Will whoever is after her succeed ? This was a well written, fast paced love story.
