So nice to read a book with intrigue and mystery, and yet is free of any foul language. And, to top it all off, it was well written and an interesting read. BAM!
Loved it! It had a little bit of everything..romance, mystery, history. Very well written. The story went back and forth between present day and the past with ease. Didn’t want it to end and couldn’t wait to read more
A good legal book! I enjoyed reading it.
Whitlow is a master weaver, blending past and present and multi-dimensional relationships into a gripping story. Attorney Parker House (whose name always made me think of dinner rolls) has a grandfather with a questionable gift and a WWII history that affects both of them in modern day, and a position with a law firm that connects him with a skittish young woman and her imperious father. How will the sins of the past affect those in the present? Great question.
I received this book for an honest review from the Fiction Guild. At first the story was a little slow but once I got to understand the connection between the character and the story that was being told. I thought the book was a very insightful story about how our past can change the future and decision we make sometimes come back to haunt us. Parker is an associate attorney at a personal injury law firm in New Bern, NC it is something he has always wanted to do since losing his parents to a drunk driver as a child. He has always had a sick sense or insight on different things. He can see things both from the future or the past but he doesn’t realize this a family trait. His grandfather or Opa as he calls him has had the same feelings. He knows that his grandfather came to America after WWII from Switzerland but he doesn’t know that he actually was a person that a General and other officers in the Germany army use to determine what would happen if they did certain things. But with Frank realizing he had to make good with God he decides to head back to church and God is able to finally let go of the demons that have haunted him. And his grandson has to come to the same realizations also but he hopes when he younger. I enjoy the history but I enjoyed that there is a wonderful story within the story.
Bringing faith and the legal profession together with history to boot.
Grabs your attention at the beginning and you don’t want to put it down.
Great author
Robert Whitlow is one of my favorite authors in the style he writes. Smoothly written his stories have unexpected twists with mystery, a little romance and inspiring deepness that draws you into the wonders of God and how He moves in the lives of ordinary people.

Educational. Redemptive Story reminder that It doesn’t matter how old you are or how dark you think your sins are God can forgive and give you a new start. Also shows importance of Family, friends and integrity. Just an
Excellent book which goes back and forth to days of Hitler to modern America and some of the players who were involved in his war.

I am a huge Robert Whitlow fan, every since the first book I read by this author. Usually I am downloading books to the Kindle, but my husband likes to hold a book in his hand. I ordered a Robert Whitlow, because I felt that he too would like the story and flow of his writing. He did!
One of my all-time favorite authors! I read everything he writes, some a second time. Totally enjoyable. Love that he’s an attorney, a believer and a very thoughtful engaging writer.
