From award-winning author Heather Hildenbrand and award-winning and USA Today bestseller Karpov Kinrade comes a page-turning standalone paranormal reverse harem romance full of mystery.Sticks and stones may break my bones, but a witch’s heart is eternal.I had a pretty good life once upon a time. An art student in Paris. Friends. Hobbies. French boys. I was living my dream. That all ended the day … living my dream.
That all ended the day my twin sister took her own life.
My mind began to slip, the darkness consuming me. And I knew I had to stop it.
But my plan didn’t work, and now I’m an unwilling “guest” of Le Reve, a hospital that promises it will cure me.
It doesn’t take me long to realize that there is no cure for what’s wrong with me.
Because I’m not human. No one here is.
And the man who runs this place doesn’t want to heal us, he wants something much more sinister.
I would have lost my sanity entirely if not for the twin werewolf brothers imprisoned with me, and the dangerously beautiful vampire doctor who may or may not be evil.
It’s hard to know who to trust when I can’t even trust what I see.
But if I don’t figure it out soon, I will lose everyone I love.
Including myself.

The duo writings of these 2 authors Authors put magic into there words as they put them onto paper. They make you feel what the main character feels.. be it the anger, sadness or the magical love is going through at the time.

loved this book! truly enjoyed all the twists and turns that leave the reader guessing! you will not be disappointed!!
This book was okay for me. A good amount of intrigue in the beginning and then it lulled a bit for me in the middle and I found myself just wanting to get through it and not because I just couldn’t put it down. Ultimately the way the book wrapped up didn’t really blow my skirt up. An HEA for sure, but I felt kind of meh about it. At least it picked up towards then end so I was engaged in reading it.
A book written by these two authors was a MUST read for me……
Celeste thinks she’s bat shit crazy, and maybe she is….. This twisted, sexy, wild ride has us all guessing what the truth is….
Throw in a couple sexy werewolves, a few vampires some crazy evil creatures, and you have yourself one hell of a roller coaster ride…..
The twists and turns keep you guessing through the whole book…
Great Job Ladies!!!
Wow! I could not put it down! Heather Hildenbrand and Karpov Kinrade are so amazing together. I read Mad Girl and loved it so when they decided to add more I was beyond excited! This duo delivered an amazing book full of twists and turns. I recommend hands down
I enjoyed this book. I really did. I’m read it non stop when I was able to. While I love reading anything my Heather (lets be honest, I’ll buy anything she writes and read it) for me this book fell a little short of 5 stars because when I put it down I didn’t constantly think about the story. It drew me in to the story, but it wasn’t one of her usual type of books. I do recommend this book.
I originally read this as Mad Girl: Locked Up and this story kept you guessing between reality and fantasy… er nightmare. I was really excited for the premise of this book and it delivered! The characters kept me engaged and rooting against the bad guy. The new completed ending ties everything up.
