& emotional story about Charlie.
Her heart was broken in her divorce.
She was also left broke. Charlie is in desperate need to find a way to save
her home in Blue Moon Bay. It has been her safe haven, since the divorce.
Her attorney approached her with two options to save her home.
Charlie chose option two.
Charlie has a major crush on actor
Luke Montgomery. He is in the soap opera, Just One Love, that she watches everyday. The show will be filming on location in Charlie’s home. While filming the show, Charlie is asked to step in as a replacement for a small part. Her scene is with Luke surprised everyone. There were sparks flying. The producer’s want more scenes with them together.
Before Charlie was married, is was
going her an actress. Her ex made his
life a priority. Now it’s Charlie’s turn to shine. Will the sparks fly off the set between her & Luke?
I really enjoyed reading the story!
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
Susan’s books are sweet, sassy fun!
The boon is good but whoever did the editing did not do their job… it was so bad at times that sentences didn’t make sense . That’s my only complaint about the book.
Tender hearted love story that will keep you engaged in the storyline.
The characters are fun and fresh which make the book a fun read.
Charlie Rockwall is divorced from a rockstar and she is finding it hard to get away from the paparazzi. She has run out of money and has to open up her home to a film company that is filming her favorite soap opera. She has always dreamed of being a actress.
Luke Montgomery is the lead actor and has fallen for Charlie. Both of them have a magnetism that the powers to be notice and soon she is offered a bit part.
Sparks fly between her and the lead actress who becomes jealous. The ex-husband also returns and causes issues and now the sparks are about to fly left & right!
I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.
Charlie Rockwell married her high school sweetheart. He was a musician, and she wanted to be an actress. When he got noticed and his career started to take off, she put her dreams aside to support him. It was exciting, but neither one had thought about what becoming a star would be like. He loved it, and she had to walk away from him. All she got from the divorce was her vacation home. When she needed money to save her home, her lawyer gave her two options. She chose the second option of renting out her home to the soap opera, Just One Love for a month.
When they started to shoot there, she was needed to play a small part for one day, but she was so good with the star Luke that the producers expanded her role. She was finally becoming an actress and started to come alive but when the paparazzi arrive, she is ready to call it quits. She and Luke were starting to fall in love, and she could have the life she dreamed of, if she could get past what fame had done to her and her ex-husband.
Sometimes when you plan out your life, there are many things we don’t plan on. Charlie put her life on hold to support her husband so when they got divorced, she really had no way of supporting herself. We do learn why he did what he did when they got divorced which was another eye-opener. Is there a way to have the life you want without all the unwanted attention? The book shows us what the reality is for Charlie, but it also gives us insight on things we may not think about when planning life.
I received an ARC from Hatco Publishing through NetGalley.
I enjoyed this book. I found myself crying at parts. Love how Luke was protective of Charlie. Love when Rex finally realized what he lost and apologized to Charlie. Susan Hatler is good at getting you to feel the emotions evoked by the characters. Love how the characters have flaws but show their love in the end. I really didn’t like Adele at first but she grew on me by the end of the book. Especially when she apologized to Charlie. I love how Charlie finally realized her dreams and what she was worth.

Just one kiss is #3 in the Kissed by the Bay series. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Charlie Rockwell was in a bad situation with her ex husband and now she has very little money. She has to do something drastic in order to save her home.
Just one love has come to her rescue and she can live in her home while they are filming the show. Charlie was excited about this news and agreed to it.
Luke was the star in the show and has turned Charlies head numerous times.
Will Luke and Charlie hit it off or will she still be alone?

This is book three in the Kissed by the Bay series. Charlie is now divorced, has broken heart but she has her home in Blue Moon Bay. She needs to make some money to keep it though. She rents her home out to a tv crew and with it comes a famous actor, Luke. He is attracted to Charlie but she wants nothing to do with anyone famous. Luke is not ready to give up and acting seems to be a sweet spot. I enjoyed reading this story and seeing another HEA in Blue Moon Bay. Enjoy!

Charlie manages to keep her beloved vacation home where she grew up after an acrimonious divorce where her rockstar ex fleeced her, but good. Unfortunately, she cannot afford to keep it with no money and no job. Her good friend and lawyer knows a director who would like to film his daily soap in her house for an attractive rental fee. Before her ex became famous, she was majoring in drama at college, but didn’t finish. When an opportunity arises where she can work with her crush, Luke she takes it. While they are falling in love, her ex realizes what he threw away and wants her back. And she is offered a film role. Now she has decisions to make on what or whom to choose. Nicely written and very enjoyable read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was drama, fun, and entertainment. The struggles were interesting and the ending was fantastic. It is part of a series but can definitely be read alone. I enjoyed the characters from the one other book I’ve read from the series were present and a part of the story line. I great read.

I found this a very enjoyable read albeit somewhat different from what I was expecting. The story had lots of interesting characters and some cringe worthy moments where I felt embarrassed for the character – that sort of reaction is a sign of a good story to me. I hope to read more from this author.

After meeting Charlie in the last book I was overjoyed to find her story coming up next! Such a fantastic premise. I wanted to jump around by the time the first chapter was over. This book was even better than the first two, and that’s saying something! I just wanted to keep reading this book forever! Crazy unexpected twists and turns. Can’t wait to see what’s up next in this series!

My problem with this book is the female main character has zero backbone and he makes all the decisions. It has an OK plot, but her character turned me off this book. If you are into very weak females with a man leading her you will like this book. All the other characters except the paparazzi, I liked. This is an OK read, but I do not like weak portrayed women who do not learn. – personal preferance

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Charlie divorced her cheating husband, the only thing she kept from the divorce was the mansion in her hometown. Now she has met Luke she does not know if she could trust.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Where’s Her Ego?
This could be a better story if the protagonist was written with a backbone. It’s unrealistic to read about a woman in this day and age married to a highly successful spouse in California and get nothing but a house. I just dislike it when authors continue to fall back on giving their female lead characters weak egos thereby making them victims; Can magically fall into their dream profession without putting in the work, but then everything will turn out just fine…I suppose. I didn’t finish the book, which is rare for me. Peace.

Ms Hatler has characters you can get into. It is hard to put the book down until it is finished
I enjoyed this. Charlie didn’t drive me as mental as Olivia did, but it was a near thing at times. I love the fact that Charlie takes the high road with her ex every time an opportunity comes up where she could hit him where it hurts. I thought that was very admirable. Maybe it’s because we don’t get the chance to live in Luke’s brain, but while I liked him, I don’t feel like I really got to know him. The major conflict at the end of the book made me want to yell and throw things. Here’s a novel idea: talk to one another! It makes me gnash my teeth in frustration when the drama in a story is created by characters avoiding having a simple adult conversation with one another. I realize it’s very realistic to everyday life, but it feels a little like taking the easy road to generate angst. I’m still interested in seeing what else is going to happen in this quirky little bay town.
Didn’t bother finishing!
