A perfect read for the season with endearing characters and so beautifully written I felt like I was right in the middle of all that was happening. I loved the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Wes Lockhart, a Portland billionaire and his oncologist, Dr. Paige Regis. This is definitely a book that I will read over and over again and one I can share with all my family and friends. If you enjoy well-crafted, sweet and emotional romances, don’t miss “The Wish Maker” by gifted author Melissa McClone. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I also purchased a copy for my keeper library.
Does your doctor really care or is it just a job?
When Wes hears the dreaded word from his doctor, will things become hopeless or will he ‘man-up’ and face it?
What do you do when your life is changed so drastically that it’s hard to comprehend? Is it love for your caregiver/doctor because of the ‘cure’ or is it the real thing? Do you help others if you can afford to do so or do you move on as if nothing has happened?
Another inspirational book by Melissa McClone. Well done, Melissa!
Excellent story about love romance and overcoming baggage from previous relationships. I cant wait for more stories from this author and would also like to read about some of the minor characters in this book and their relationships.

This is book two in a series. These are stand alones but there are reoccurring characters of billionaire friends.
Focus on this book is Wes. He has recently beaten cancer but has realized his second chance at life. Yet he also has fears of truly living.
When forced back out to society to play Santa at the hospital he is reunited with his oncologist Dr. Paige. She tells Santa of her 25 million dollar wish for her cancer center and also a wish for the family with the pets and white picket fence.
These two dance between friends and more. Wes doesn’t want a forever but Paige does. When these two realize they are not living in the present will they have a chance for the HEA they deserve.
Great characters. Loved Wes and his friends. Well written story. Such real and likable characters and storyline. Great dual POV.

Beautifully written romance is something I’ve come to expect from Melissa McClone, but The Wish Maker was extra enchanting to me. I’m not sure if it was the Christmas setting, or just the sweet chemistry between Wes and Paige, but this story lightened my heart during a season that gets harder for me to celebrate each year.
Wes has been given the gift of a second chance at life, which he shares with others, while still keeping himself apart. Paige gives her all to her patients and little to herself, making her a bit lonely, too. Is it any wonder that they gravitate towards each other, learning much more than their previous doctor/patient allowed.
Wes’s friends, familiar to longtime McClone readers, provide fun and support to both Wes and Paige in this lovely, drama free read. Don’t worry if you haven’t read their stories…this a completely stand-alone book, plus you’ll have more wonderful stories to catch up on!
5 stars for The Wish Maker!

Wes and Paige’s love story in The Wish Maker is a heartwarming, sweet romance by Melissa McClone, book two in The Billionaires of Silicon Forest series. After recovering and in remission from cancer, Wes Lockhart changed his priorities and decided he needed to use his billions to help others find a second chance, like he’d been given. While playing Santa for the children’s hospital, Wes learns that oncologist Dr. Paige Regis needed some additional money for the new cancer center and Wes decided that she would be the first recipient of this monetary gift. Paige has spent her entire career helping others which gave her little time to have a personal life. She would love to have a family; husband, kids, dog, and white picket fence. With the demands of her job and plan to open a brand-new cancer center she doubts her dreams will ever come soon. As Christmas approaches, along with all the holiday parties and fundraisers, Wes invites Paige to accompany him; allowing her to wonder if maybe Wes could make her other wish come true. Wes and Paige need to open their hearts to the magic of the season and the possibility of getting their Christmas miracle.
Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story contains fun dialogue, the magic of love, and endearing characters giving Wes and Paige a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected thanks to Christmas magic. I highly recommend The Wish Maker to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A sweet romance with a little magic of the Christmas Holiday Season. Wes a billionaire, is in remission from cancer and sees life in a renewed way. Paige is the oncologist that took care of him and has never found Mr Right, she is always putting her career first. Paige’s dream of opening a new cancer wing but is short funds, so maybe Wes can answer some of her dreams with a little Christmas magic.
A sweet romance with so many Christmas traditions that it will surely get you in the mood for the holidays. Love the friendship of the guys, great banter. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone.

My REVIEW :
The Wish Maker is a great Christmas Romance story full of wonderful characters you are sure to fall in Love with. I fell in love with these characters right from the start. The plot was very simple, but good. The writer is extremely talented and done a perfect job of making you feel as if you’re standing right there every part of the story. All of the characters are very well written and all very likable. The Wish Maker is a story that will grab your heart and stay with you long after you finish the last page. If you are looking for a Christmas romance that will hold your interest ,this is one book I highly recommend. It was a quick easy read and I was able to finish it in just half a day.I enjoyed this story very much and I am eager to read other books by this author . Many thanks to the Author for a ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. I am a huge fan of Melissa McClone and this book does not disappoint. The characters are well developed and you are drawn in from the very beginning. I have enjoyed getting to know this group of friends and loved Wes and Paige’s story. Looking forward to see what happens next!

This was a great, romantic, Christmas story, just like a Hallmark movie. Wes and Paige were perfect for each other even though Wes did not think he was good enough for her because of his past before he had cancer. If you like Christmas stories, sleigh rides, wishes on stars, romance and love you will enjoy this book in this great series by Melissa McClone. It was such fun to revisit the town of Hood Hamlet and to be treated to the Christmas Magic event. It sounded like a lot of fun and was a perfect date or non date. I also enjoyed being with the characters from past books in this series. I received and advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Wes changed his life after he was diagnosed with cancer and has become more sympathetic and philanthropic, but he still worries now that he’s in remission about the cancer coming back and that causes him to guard his heart. Paige realizes that working as an oncologist life is passing her by and her dreams of a home with a husband and family are not being realized. Can someone who dreams of happily ever after like in the Hallmark movies she watches find it with a man who allows the possibility of dying to keep him from forming a commitment? Matchmaker Henry plays his part in Wes and Paige’s relationship. I can wait to see who he eventually falls for. It was great to catch up on the characters from the Hood Hamlet stories again. I would love to visit that fictional place over the holidays. It was sad reading about the patients suck in the hospital especially the ones who weren’t visited by their families. But how wonderful to have Santa visit and listen to this Christmas wishes.
Wonderful!! I have loved every book in this series but I think Wes and Paige’s story is my favorite. This is a story of hope and new beginnings! Wes’ past history and struggles broke my heart and Paige was exactly what he needed. This is a sweet, romantic and beautifully told romance that lifted my heart. It was just what I needed to get in the Christmas spirit.
LOVED IT! Paige & Wes were so lovable! They both had to learn that work isn’t the most important thing, and that falling in love, while scary, is 100% worth it! I loved the banter between the billionaires! I really enjoyed this book! I can’t wait for more!!!
Wes is changing his life now he’s in remission. He now wants to help people and who better to help than his doctor. But becoming friends is the only thing what can happen, nothing more. Or can they with the help of his friends find the way to a happy future?
I really loved this book, it has lovely characters, main and side, and a couple of life lessons. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Take every Christmas movie you have ever watched, add in some magic and ramp it up times ten and you have the beauty that is The Wish Maker! This book will have your heart ready to burst from joy and leaving you floating on a snowing cloud of happiness. I swear I could practically feel Christmas magic floating in the air while I was reading Wes and Paige’s story.
Obviously these two are sugary sweet, but despite the chemistry that is between them they have a nice slow burn happening. You could literally feel how much they were meant to be as they fought so hard at being “just friends”. There’s no fighting the kind of love these two have though, especially with Christmas magic and mistletoe floating around.
I really am enjoying this series. Wes was introduced in a previous book but we only got a glimpse of him. Now we get his story. Wes is an interesting character. He’s in remission and has a new outlook on life. It’s a great reminder to all of us that life is short and to not put off the things we want in life. Paige is one of the doctors that helped Wes. The meet again at a Christmas party and Wes is able to make one of Paige’s wishes come true right away. Little does he know that he will make all of her wishes come true. The story is a sweet story that makes you feel good. I’m really looking forward to the next story in this series.
A really sweet romance that tugs at your heart and make you think about what is keeping you from truly living. Enjoyed catching up with characters from previous books. The text message scenes were pretty funny. Will love snag another billionaire? Looking forward to Dash’s book.

The Wish Maker is a clean, sizzling Christmas romance. Trust me, some of those kisses are swoon worthy. Both main characters are likable and well-developed, but have areas in their lives that need to change. This author tells a great story as she gets the characters where they need to be. I loved the banter and close friendship between Wes and his billionaire buddies. I enjoy Melissa McClone’s smooth, flowing writing style. I recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next one in the series. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this fantastic romance.
The Wish Maker is another awesome book. Reading about Wes who had cancer and is now in remission and Paige, his cancer doctor, filled your heart with love and admiration. Wes loved helping others financially. He saw Paige at a Christmas party and their Christmas magic began to happen. Paige’s dream was to open a cancer center. Was this just a daydream or could it really happen. Do you think Wes can have an influence on this becoming a reality. Sometimes you just have to listen to your heart. I highly recommend this book.
Wes had been thought of as ruthless, heartless and much worse before he found he had Lymphoma. The fight for his life was difficult and now that he is in remission he doesn’t have that same drive. If he dies he wants to be remembered in a far different light.
Henry his ever interfering friend pushes him to do something a bit different this Christmas season. Instead of just signing checks, go see where the money goes.
Paige was his oncologist, and he credits her with saving his life even though it was a whole team of physicians. She’s no longer his physician and he meets up with her in an unusual way. Playing Santa at the children’s ward at the hospital.
Paige has another problem though, apparently the fund-raising for the new Cancer wing her pet project, has fallen short by twenty five million dollars. At Henry’s invitation she attends the children’s party, finding Santa familiar but can’t seem to place him. He gets her to tell him what she wants for Christmas.
Surprised at seeing him there, and even more so when he tells her his foundation would cover the amount she needs, they go to a nearby coffee shop to discuss the logistics of the donation.
What should have been a relatively short conversation becomes a lot more.
The slow build up to a relationship is both confusing and scary to Wes, he still has much to deal with, including the lies he didn’t correct regarding his ex.
Paige on the other hand has her own issues, always putting off things because of work.
The banter between the ‘Billionaires of Silicon Forest’ was as fun and snarky. Paige fits right in with this crew even though she fights the attraction to Wes. She wants more than just a fling and won’t date unless it can lead somewhere more than just the bedroom.
A thoroughly enjoyable Christmas read complete with small town events to warm your heart as Paige and Wes turn up the heat.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
