Ms. Kearsley writes a very different type of book with every book she writes. Each time there is a totally riveting historical plot. The Winter Sea is about an author, Carrie. This was one of the better books I’ve read in quite a while. Interesting plot, interesting characters, and very good descriptions of surrounding environment.
Really enjoyed this book. Would recommend it to otheers
Kearsley’s books are all just plain good reading, entertaining, historically informative and satisfying to the end.
Her books are wonderful. They pull you in and you care about the characters. You have to read “The Shadowy Horses ” next and then “The Firebird ” which concludes the tale. Fantastic books!
Okay, so I love books about Scotland, and this was about it Scotland. I love books about writers and the writing process, and this was about just that. After three chapters, I was hooked. This author told two tales at once and I enjoyed it. How much did I like it? Well, I’m in the middle of the next book in the series.
I absolutely loved this book! The writer in the story has been in France where she her narrative has stalled. She goes to Scotland, rents a seaside cottage, and finds a muse. Her story and her personal life both flourish. The story is original, with twists and turns, and yet historically accurate.
I Liked it, where is a follow up with these characters?
I loved this book! It was very fun to read. Made me cry at the end.
