“The bluest of blood, the boldest of hearts; the de Montforte brothers will take your breath away.”
England, 1776: Lord Gareth de Montforte is known as an irresponsible rake with a heart of gold. When he takes a bullet for boldly thwarting a stagecoach robbery, he is stunned to discover that the beautiful young woman he has heroically rescued, Juliet Paige, is his deceased brother’s American … American fiancée, accompanied by her infant daughter. Despite his brother the duke’s refusal to acknowledge Juliet, Gareth is determined to do right by the courageous woman who crossed an ocean to give her baby her rightful name. But Juliet is wary of marrying this black sheep aristocrat, even while she is hopelessly charmed by the dashing devil. Never has she met anyone who embraces life so thoroughly, who makes her laugh, who loves her so well. And, even when it seems the odds are against them, Juliet has absolute faith that Gareth will go beyond the call of duty, risking his life itself to give her and her daughter a home — and a love that will last a lifetime.

I really enjoyed this book, it was interesting enough that I continued reading the rest in this series.
I liked this book a lot! A little upset because I wanted to read the next one and it Kindle won’t let me download it! So very disappointed!
This was a fun book. A great weekend read that had a little suspense, wit and romance. Loved that it had a good balance of dialogue. Just the right amount of a storyline and not a lot of love sick angst. Really enjoyed it!
Liked it enough to purchase 2nd book in series..
Romance adventurous touching
Nice read, if stretching the bounds of reality, but that’s why it’s fiction.
This first in the series. You definitely will want to continue with the next book in the series re another brother. This will be so hard to put down…will deprive you of sleep!
All the books in the series are wonderful!
I l liked the characters and the plot, but will not recommend it because of the sexuality. I would love to read about the stories of the other brothers but I will not. To bad there aren’t “clean versions”.
This book is not a typical romance. There is a lot more focus on the telling of the story and less romantic episodes. Good read.
One of my all time favorites. The hero grew stronger because he met the heroine.
An unusual romantic situation helped along by a most unusual Cupid. Tragedy turned into triumph and the forever kind of love. A most delightful tale!
An American woman travels to England with her young daughter after the Revolution to claim rights from the dead father’s family. She is refused but the “wild” DE Mondorte brother marries her even though he is now penniless. He is a great guy.
I liked this so much that I almost bought the next one. I read a spoiler for the next one and changed my mind. this book reminds me ofwhen there were still gentlemen in the world
Loved it, of course I had to buy the other 3 books in the series!
Funny and heart warming. but predictable.
Provocative and passionate!
What a wild ride! I loved this story!
From the nailbiting start to the explosive finish, this story grabbed me by the collar and it was all I could do to hang on to the end! Gareth and Juliet have chemistry for days, and I just loved watching the wild playboy decide to grow up and become truly worthy of Juliet and Charlotte. The interplay between the brothers added substantial depth to the story, and the twist at the end was completely unexpected!
I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this story, and am looking forward to continuing with the rest of the series.
Gareth and Juliet are only the beginning of following the de Montforte family. You’ll be pulled along into each subsequent book as you read. Harmon has an easy style and creates characters you wish had been real! I loved this whole series!
Well written, sweet at times, but unpredictable at others. Great characters and story.
