“The bluest of blood, the boldest of hearts; the de Montforte brothers will take your breath away.”
England, 1776: Lord Gareth de Montforte is known as an irresponsible rake with a heart of gold. When he takes a bullet for boldly thwarting a stagecoach robbery, he is stunned to discover that the beautiful young woman he has heroically rescued, Juliet Paige, is his deceased brother’s American … American fiancée, accompanied by her infant daughter. Despite his brother the duke’s refusal to acknowledge Juliet, Gareth is determined to do right by the courageous woman who crossed an ocean to give her baby her rightful name. But Juliet is wary of marrying this black sheep aristocrat, even while she is hopelessly charmed by the dashing devil. Never has she met anyone who embraces life so thoroughly, who makes her laugh, who loves her so well. And, even when it seems the odds are against them, Juliet has absolute faith that Gareth will go beyond the call of duty, risking his life itself to give her and her daughter a home — and a love that will last a lifetime.

A fun book to read.
I absolutely loved this book! This was romantic without being cheesy and predictable, although I could tell right away how it was going to work out. But what an adventure. I was sad when I finished reading it. I love her style!
I enjoyed the female lead character who admirably moved forward even when met with repeated obstacles without succumbing to self pity. I also appreciated the journey of her devil may care unplanned husband toward maturity and responsibility. It made me want to read the second book in the series as the family saga continues.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book
An enjoyable read. I found myself more intrigued in speculating on the elder brother’s (I assume) upcoming story, but these characters were enjoyable, reasonably realistic, and not prone to stupidity. These are rare and valued qualities in this genre!
I would read another in this series.
tends toward a formula book
I liked this book so much I purchased several from the author including this entire series
I had to get the rest in the series
Kept me turning pages.
This is the first book I read on Kindle and it got me hooked. I love the Wild One, which is Book One of the Demontforte Brothers series. I loved the series. I have read this series twice and have listened to the series on Audible two times! Danelle Harmon did a great job at writing this story. You are hooked from the first chapter!
Love this series!!!
I mostly enjoyed this, there were a few low points but mostly high. Good, positive ‘mother with baby’ scenes, but also some icky ‘mother with baby is sexy’ bits. A questionably anachronistic use of the word ‘barf’ that sent me to Google to work out when the first recorded use of that word was – not till the 60s, a long time after the 1776 date …
Good series. Three and four were my favorites!
Fun easy reaf
Really enjoyed reading the book!!
Knew how it would end after first couple of chapters. Somewhat funny, entertaining; but predictable.
I loved This book. I went on to read all her books. When I see her name I read the book
I enjoyed this book. Interested in the next installment!
Makes you want to read the next book in series!
Looking forward to continueing the series. Loved it!
