What an unexpected surprise!! This is a very intriguing story that is different, creative and well written. This is a fast paced story that definite sucks you and keeps you flipping pages until the very end. It’s one of those stories with lot’s of twists and turns that make you want to scream, cry or smile and definitely gets the emotions going. I loved Edward and Harper! What a great story!
Now this was quite an interesting read! Edward (think Tarzan) has been found after having gone missing in the jungle for 15 years and presumed dead. He’s now home and his father expects him to quickly resume his life as the next Earl but it is not that easy. Harper, an asylum apprentice, is hired to try to get through to him. I really enjoyed Edward and Harper’s story and it held my interest the whole way through. I have read many books where the heroine is a bluestocking but it is the first one I read where she works in an asylum. In that era, women very rarely were acknowledged in the medical/clinical field. Edward and Harper must go through many trials and tribulations before finding their HEA, while trying to keep Edward from being locked up in an asylum forever. I do recommend this book, it is a bit different but well written!

A very intriguing story that you will love…
It is well written, creative and full of surprises.
Incredible characters… some troubles and difficult… and HEA…
I loved this book. This is an exciting story full of realistic emotions and feelings. The characters are logical, sensible and rational. They reacted appropriately to the circumstances they were dealt with. There is fear, anger, compassion and love. The overall story of a young boy not even a teenager becomes lost in the jungles of Brazil. There may be foul play at work. Over a decade later the boy now a man is captured and treated like a wild animal, forced into a cage and sent back to England. His name is Edward and is the son and heir to Charles the Earl of Briarcliff. The second son, Richard, is furious that his claim to the earldom has been stripped from him. He is bound and determined to have Edward committed to an asylum. So he continues to propagate the stories of how uncivilized and mentally unstable Edward is. In steps in Miss Harper Forsythe. She has been recommended to the Earl by the foremost authority in mental health to care for his son. When Harper is introduced to Edward she is smitten. She reminds herself that she is there professionally not romantically. When she evaluates the situation, she finds that the father has unrealistic expectations of Edward and Richard is dead set against rehabilitating Edward. She finds that Edward is not mentally incapacitated but is misunderstood. No one seems to understand that Edwards life has been turned upside down. He was brutally removed from the life he knew and thrust into a world he was no longer familiar with. All he needs is time to adjust and relearn how to function in society. However, the Earl wants to introduce Edward into society well before he is ready. Harper advises against this but the Earl gives her a deadline. In the meantime, Harper and Edward develop a romantic relationship. But then things go sideways for Harper and her sister Viola and her son Matthew. Richard is still plotting against Edward. The Earl is trying to force Edward to comply with society and his expectations. What will happen to Harper and Edward? Will Richard succeed? Will the Earl finally come to his senses and really see Edward for what he is and can be or will he continue to treat him like he was never lost? A wonderful and exciting adventure. I highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The start of a new series called Lords of London I can not wait to read the next book a well written story that kept me turning pages. The year is 1822 and Edward Northcote is thought to be mad but one woman eccentric Harper Forsythe, apprenticed to England’s foremost asylum director believes she can help him but there is a lot of things in her way to doing so. ONE AMAZING READ!!!
Wow! Talk about full throttle. This is one wonderfully written, smooth flowing read with its many twists and turns and surprises that I was totally immersed. The scenes were so realistic I felt I had been transported back to that era. A fantastic story line that captures your attention from start to finish. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it’s easy to relate. I grew to love the main characters as the story continued through all of their trials and tribulations. As their personalities transformed it was like opening my eyes after a long dark night. The scenes were so graphically detailed I could picture it with such ease I was spellbound. Carrie definitely found her true calling and shows just how gifted and talented she really is with this read. Brilliantly put together in a unique and tantalizing way. Carrie did an excellent job bringing this read to life.
The Wild Lord by Carrie Lomax was an interesting romance with a tarzanesqe theme. Edward the returned long lost Earl of Briarcliff is thought mad and unreachable but Harper an apprentice to an asylum director is sent to help the family and Edward. There’s instant attraction, trust and romance involved.
Beauty & The Beast Revised
This was an absolute gem!
I was hooked from the beginning.
The characters were well written, the plot deliciously decadent; if slightly predictable, & I couldn’t put it down.
5* seems too little for this delightful book

Can I give more than 5 stars? Loved this book. Well-written characters, really good story.
This was an intriguing and unique story that really held my interest. Edward was a wonderful hero who had lived a life far different from the one he had been intended to lead and I sympathized with his struggle to try to fit back into a society that considered him crazy. Harper was an independent woman trying to build a career as a doctor for the mentally ill in an age where men ruled. I found her a very determined woman and admired her for her courage to go after her dream. Edward and Harper had good chemistry together and I truly enjoyed them as a couple. The struggle they were forced to endure to be together only made me like them more. Great story!
In The Wild Lord, Ms. Lomax present a new and refreshing tale of Victorian nobility. I do get tired of the old tales of endless balls, blushing maids and high society. In this story, Harper is a strong and independent woman who is trying to become accepted as a doctor of psychiatry. She has led a sheltered life in an asylum learning how to treat and help patients in a kinder and gentler fashion than was the norm at the time. Once she leaves the asylum and her mentor’s side for an assignment, she has trouble being accepted as a legitimate doctor who can treat the “wild” and uncivilized son of an Earl, who has recently been brought back after being lost in the jungles of Brazil for years. The book does a great job of portraying women’s limited roles in Victorian society and the snobbery and rigid rules of the ruling nobility of the ton. Her unconventional ways and patience help to bring the son back to English society but his greedy, scheming brother and his rigid father make things difficult. The book is full of surprises, twists and turns that you will not see coming. And the book is very romantic and sexy. And it is very well written. I was reminded in the end of Jane Eyre with the future earl pursuing the you woman who is only distantly tied to aristocracy. You will have a hard time putting the book down until you get to the very satisfying end.
I was totally captivated with this book from the very first page! The storyline was well written, the plot flowed easily from page to page and the characters were so well detailed that I was totally hooked until the very end!
This is a very well written book. It is exciting, enjoyable, suspenseful, intriguing, and so much more. He is in big trouble with everyone but her giving up on him. this is definitely a page turner and highly recommended

I am not too sure what I expected but this book far exceeded anything I did expect. This was so well-written and with great characters. Harper so strong yet so full of self doubt too. Edward lost then found and like one character said what he experienced when lost is much like what was happening now. I just loved the ending it was so fitting. I wonder if there is going to be a second book for Viola and Lord Dalton. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
