A roller coaster of a journey that will leave you holding on for dear life. I really enjoyed this book. Some might say it’s similiar to gone girl but that’s what I liked about it. This book will keep you hooked and although I didn’t love the ending I still feel the author did a great job. The pace was planned out well and I enjoyed her writing style. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
Well! What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive! This book is all about deception! And it is all over money!
Nina is a wealthy (and I MEAN wealthy!) widow. She marries a much younger man named Conner. Conner signed a prenup. If Nina leaves Conner or she dies, he gets millions. If Conner cheats, he gets nothing.
Enter Tabitha. Tabitha is a waitress from Conner’s youth. They had a fling growing up and Conner has come back to rekindle….or has he? Anyway, he is back in Tabitha’s life. But, is it because he loves her, or is it more sinister.
This story had me on the edge of my seat. Honestly, I had no idea which way it was going to turn. And it did not turn out the way I expected. I have to be careful what I say…it would be very easy to give it away. You MUST read this to find out. Half the time I wanted to slap Conner and the other half I was wondering what he was up to. Or even if he was up to anything.

I received this novel from the publisher for a honest review.
He was the boy that captured her heart at the age of seventeen, Connor Ford was everything to her… but then he broke her heart, and she has never forgotten it. When he walks into the restaurant she is working at years later she is not only shocked to see him, but her heart is also quick to remember him. He’s rich, married, and lives a life that will never compare to Tabitha’s. He wants to talk and she isn’t so sure that is a good idea, his heart belongs to another woman now… or does it?
She gets the feeling there are things he is not telling her, but that doesn’t stop her from falling for him all over again, she knows it’s wrong, but she can’t help herself. He makes promises to leave his wife and that they can be together once and for all, and asks her to wait for him. But then things take an unexpected turn and she is left wondering what she just got herself into… does she really know the man she is in love with?
The Wife Who Knew Too Much is an addictive little page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. Nothing is as it seems and it will have you constantly wondering who is telling the truth. Just when I thought I had a handle on things, something else would happen and throw me off track all over again. I really enjoyed this one, it was filled with drama, suspense, jealousy, trickery, and twists you will never see coming! If you like domestic thrillers than this one is a story you can’t miss, it will have you hooked from the first page!! Highly recommend!
I received an advanced copy of this title from the via publisher, via a NetGalley giveaway, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much was such a great read, I was totally off the mark about whom I thought was the guilty party in the book. This was a action packed read that keeps you turning the page to see what is going to happen next. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
I received a ARC from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press and was under no obligation to give a good review, all opinions expressed here are my own.
Wow! A can’t put down page turner! My first read by this author and won’t be my last. A story of a second chance at love full of secrets, lies, betrayal, and twists and turns. Suspenseful and edgy it kept me glued to the pages.
One thing you are guaranteed when you pick up a MC book, is a good storyline, characters that evoke strong feelings and a twist at the end. Ms. Campbell is one of my go-to authors when I’m in the need of a good thriller, and I have a block of time to read it! This book is no different. Like/hate the characters, a murder on page one, great details when setting up a scene (scenery and situation), and a little twist I didn’t see coming at the very end. I enjoy how she ends a book after the what you think is the final scene.
Tabitha falls in love with Connor in high school. She’s from the ‘wrong’ side of the tracks, he’s from an affluent family. Not much of a surprise on what happens here. Fast forward to their meeting a few years down the road. Chemistry still there, but he’s married…to a very wealthy woman who holds a firm hand on him. Then comes a murder and so much more.
I recommend this book if you are going on a long flight, heading to the beach or mountains or just in need of a good story. Bottom line, I just recommend this book.
Thanks to Ms. Campbell, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.
This is a perfect read for those looking to get caught up in a fast-paced, suspenseful, can’t-stop-reading-it book!
I won’t repeat the publisher’s book blurb here, but Michele Campbell delivers another wonderfully consuming read with twists, turns, suspense, romance, rich vs poor, lies, betrayals and murder. It begs the reader to answer do you trust what your heart is telling you or do you trust what your brain is saying, knowing each choice is flawed?
My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for allowing me to read a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions here are my own.
An entertaining thriller that deals with first loves and extravagant new lifestyles that are intoxicatingly dangerous!
”When you run with the wolves, don’t trip.

This book wasted no time grabbing my attention! A diary notation, written by a wife who is convinced her husband wants to kill her, for her money.
”People said I was a gold-digger.”
Nina is one of the wealthiest women in New York. It wasn’t that way until she married her super rich and much older husband, Edward and she inherited everything after his death.
The handsome and enigmatic Connor is penniless, until he meets and marries Nina, twenty years his senior. She showed him a whole new world…money, private jets, fancy cars, a huge house filled with staff. Sounds ideal, except for the corporate backstabbing, betrayal, controlling wife and constant distrust.
Then Connor runs into an old girlfriend…the one who got away. And all those wonderful and happy memories come back. But is true love worth giving up the lavish lifestyle he’s become accustomed to?
This is my second read by this author and I enjoyed both…another author to watch for!
Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Michele Campbell, for this free digital ARC, in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this thriller, and a super fast read that got my pulse racing. The story opens with Nina’s diary entry fearing for her life, and from there I was hooked.
The story was told through Tabitha’s eyes – a woman who just can’t catch a break. Always falling in love with the wrong man and this time, she hopes it would be different. Approaching her 30’s and still working in a small town as a waitress, she meets her high school sweetheart Connor who was married to one of the wealthiest woman in the country.
This thrilling novel was full of promises, betrayal, and a Murder. There were very few things that still get me shocked, and Michele Campbell continued to find those twists and surprises that kept me guessing making this a really fun read I loved. Campbell reigns as one of the best thriller writers for me.
I was already a fan of Michele Campbell after reading It’s Always the Husband and She Was the Quiet One, so I was looking forward to reading her newest release. For readers who enjoyed her other books, this one does not disappoint. It’s another exciting thriller. Two Mrs. Fords- one was incredibly rich and is now dead. One was a small town waitress now married to her teenage summer crush. Set in the Hamptons- Connor Ford proves to be a mystery and leaves one wondering- how well do we know our spouse? Read to find out which Mrs. Ford knew her husband too well.
I really enjoyed last summer’s A Stranger on the Beach by Michele Campbell, so when I saw that The Wife Who Knew Too Much was coming out this year, I instantly wanted to read it. And thanks to NetGalley I was able to get an early copy.
At first I was a bit concerned. Tabitha was driving me crazy with her relationship with Connor. I could handle the young love, but the affair when they were older was getting on my nerves. I wanted a strong woman who didn’t turn into a needy one. I wasn’t thinking of not finishing because I really wanted to see where this would lead, but I was very happy when at about the 20% point it started to pick up. And although it took Tabitha a bit longer still to start fighting for her life, when she did, I was really rooting for her!
Campbell wrote another great novel with lots of twists and a couple of surprises. I did not guess the ending early, which I always love. I really enjoyed how everything tied up and am looking forward to her next book. If you’re looking for a great beach read, you’ll definitely want to pick up The Wife Who Knew too Much!
This is another great read by Author Michele Campbell. I was hooked from the beginning right to the ending which I had not figured out! The story starts out in New Hampshire where teen-age Tabitha works at the local beach-side fast-food place while living with her grandparents. She meets Connor Ford, grandson of wealthy Jean Ford who everyone seems to be afraid of. They end up falling in love and when Jean Ford loses her money, Connor leaves. Fast forward to some years later when Connor shows up at the restaurant where Tabitha now works. Tabitha is divorced and Connor is married to an older woman who is very wealthy. The spark is still there between them! Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC of this very twisty thriller in exchange for an honest review.
I was drawn into the book immediately by the diary entry by Nina that basically said that she knew she was going to die. Then, the plot slowed down, but I persevered in reading and was thrilled when the pace picked up again all the way to the end. Nina is a wealthy and eccentric woman who is married to Connor, a younger man who is desperately unhappy about the pre-nup he signed with Nina. He meets up again with his high school love, Tabitha, a girl who seems ripe to be used since her life is a bad fairy tale. She is working a dead-end job as a waitress when Connor comes back into her life in his pricey sports car, sweeping her off her feet and taking her to a mansion hideaway to start an affair. When Nina is killed, the action really begins. My heart raced as one suspect after another was vetted, with totally awesome clues as to whodunit. As an avid reader of mysteries, I think that helped me figure out the ending, but there were still some unexpected surprises. This book became totally absorbing about halfway through and was hard to put down. Fans of thrillers will enjoy it for sure!

A fast paced psychological thriller with lots of twists that kept me guessing. Stayed up to finish it to find out the culprit. What a great wrap up!
Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for the ARC
Wow! This book grabs you from the first page and doesn’t let go til the very end. It was fast paced and kinda twisted.
I wasn’t real happy with Tabitha, she seemed wimpy and immature. Too love sick over an obvious player.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the early copy
Thank you St. Martin’s Press for this advanced copy of “The Wife Who Knew Too Much”. This book was a page turner from the beginning. The story starts with Tabitha a lower middle class teenager being raised by her grandparents after her mother dies and her military father decides he cant take care of her alone. Tabitha works at the local beach resort and meets Connor a rich kid who’s family belongs to the beach club. Tabitha and Connor start dating, and Tabitha falls in love with Connor but their social class differences lead to the end of their relationship. Thirteen years later Connor walks back into Tabitha’s life and all the feelings she had come rushing back. Connor however is now married to one of the richest women in the world, and is basically unavailable to Tabitha. Connor’s wife Nina dies unexpectedly, and while its ruled a suicide, there seems to be foul play involved. Next thing you know Tabitha is being accused of Nina’s murder and she doesn’t know if she can truly trust Connor. Tabitha starts to wonder if Nina’s accidental death wasn’t a murder set in place to inherit all of Nina money. As Tabitha sets our to prove her innocence she learns everyone around her may not be who they seems and many secrets are being kept.
I’ll tell you now this is a great book , because it’s a fantastic read, especially if you are like me and into psychological thrillers. I could write a lengthy and wordy review but if what I have written can say what I thought of this book then it’s long enough! Thank you for writing such great books!
It took me a while to read and review this book mostly because I had to keep starting over. I’d get to a point (each time a little farther) because it just started out so slowly that I couldn’t stick with it and moved on to something else. Once I finally made it past the first 50 or so pages, it picked up and I eventually finished it hoping there would be some redemption of the book itself. Although the ending was okay, the book just never got any better for me. This was not a book that you could call a page-turner or suspenseful, although there was some mystery and a murdered dead body. It was a slow-moving love story with some twists and turns to keep what interest you might develop, but other than that kind of a letdown and the ending was predictable and as I mentioned before, just okay. It was a good effort though, and well written, just not the book I was expecting.
I mostly liked this book, but it was missing something, especially if compared to her previous books. I think it just lost momentum. At least it did to me. I got a little bit bored somehow. It seemed to stream off in too many different directions, and I think that’s why it lost momentum. I really really liked all her other ones, more than this one. Read her others! This wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have the intensity.
Actually 3.5 as a few inconsistencies bothered me. Otherwise, a good thriller.
