A MUST READ!!
What an absolutely amazing debut to the Billionaires of Silicon Forest by gifted author Melissa McClone. I was completely captivated from the beginning and wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the characters when I got to the end. I loved the attraction, undeniable chemistry, sweet and emotional romance between self-made billionaire Blaise Mortenson and Hadley Lowell who he hires to find perfect matches for two of his friends so he will win the “last bachelor standing” wager. This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys well written feel-good romances. I received an advance reader copy of “The Wife Finder” and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased a copy to read again later.
I loved the chemistry between Hadley and Blaise. He’s a billionaire tech tycoon and she has him doing things that are completely out of his comfort zone. So funny and heartwarming. The side characters are just the best. I’m looking forward to reading Wes and Dash’s stories next and find out who wins the bet. This sweet book was entertaining and a pleasure to read as I settled in at night with my kindle. Five stars
Awesome humorous enjoyable read. Wife finder with a twist. Winning a bet may never be this much fun again. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series!

Melissa McClone’s first book in her new series utterly captivated me. I’m a sucker for matchmaker romances, and this one had it all–undeniable chemistry, lots of emotion, and wonderful, compelling characters that leap off the page. THE WIFE FINDER is beautifully written with all the feels. 5 stars!!
Blaise hires a matchmaker to find wives for his friends so he can win a bet, but he never expects to be drawn to Hadley. Hadley has a rule–no dating clients–and this client was paying enough for her to buy a house for her extended family. As they spend time together, the walls and rules give way, and they find themselves falling for each other.
When Hadley refuses to find a wife for one friend because he’s not ready, Blaise thinks she’s choosing the friend over him–her client. He won’t see reason, and Hadley leaves brokenhearted. A viral video of their altercation destroys her business. Can Blaise salvage their relationship and help her save her business, or is it too late?
Two people in love, betrayed in the past, makes them relationship-shy, but love has a way of filtering through the cracks if the hearts are open. Wonderful romance I recommend.
Hadley and Blaise’s love story in The Wife Finder is a heartwarming, sweet romance by Melissa McClone, book one in The Billionaires of Silicon Forest series. Self-made billionaire Blaise Mortenson believes he must win, at any cost. When his friends suggest a wager to see who will be the last bachelor among them, he takes the bet. Of course he believes he will win. In fact, to make sure he wins, he hires a matchmaker to find wives for his friends. Hiring Hadley Lowell was smart since she has the highest success rate. The one thing Blaise needs to do is ignore his attraction to this gorgeous, demanding matchmaker. Hadley operates her as if it’s a military op, controlling every possible outcome; however, falling for a client was something she never saw coming. Hadley discovered the Blaise hidden from the world, the neglected little boy totally in need of being love. While her matchmaking success is amazing, she has never been able to find love for herself. Hadley could not believe that her happily ever after could be a tech billionaire, who wasn’t even looking love. Blaise was at a crossroads, trying to decide if winning Hadley was worth losing the bet.
Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story contains fun dialogue, the magic of love, and endearing characters giving Hadley and Blaise a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend The Wife Finder to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this fun, romantic story involving Blaise Mortenson and his last single man standing bet with six of his buddies. Half of the group is now married so there are only three guys left to win the bet.
I enjoyed watching Blaise’s character change during the story as his heart opened up to the possibility of love. As I read the story and learned about his past I fully understood why he has tried to protect his heart. Too bad his plan to get the other two guys remaining in the bet married off backfired when he met the matchmaker or the wife finder, Hadley Lowell. I cannot wait to read more books in this series because I loved the characters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Blaise manipulated Hadley to win a bet. He didn’t consider how is actions would affect her heart and her matchmaking business. She had misgivings from the beginning especially when the contract was not for her to find him a match but his two friends and she was afraid if the truth came out how it would affect her business. He strings her along pretending a relationship so she can get close to his friends and blasts her when she doesn’t do what he asks. He was good with her sister Fallon’s children, but he had a lot to overcome with his treatment of Hadley. I liked his awkward gamer friend Dash and his recovering from a broken heart and cancer friend Wes. Her sister Fallon deserves a second chance with someone who will treat her and her children well. I can’t wait to read their stories.
4.5 Stars
This is book one in The Billionaires of Silicon Forrest series and it features Blaise and Hadley. Six friends involved in the “last single man standing” wager which involves millions of dollars as the prize. Blaise NEEDS to be the winner and he’s obsessed with winning the bet to the point that he’s blind to who he might hurt in the process. Hadley is Blaise’s secret weapon. She’s a well-known matchmaker. They call her The Wife Finder. He’s going to pay her to find two of his friends wives. These two get along great. Their friendship is easy and before you know it there are feelings involved. He’s got some painful skeletons in his closet and she’s got some issues as well. Be careful, the closet door is opening!
This story line is fantastic. Each character is so unique. There are many things to identify with, with each character. Crappy parents, illnesses, youthfulness, and other things. Their friendship is as close as brothers. This is a highly entertaining read. Sometimes stories have a sort of magical character who gets the impossible done. This one has Henry and I can’t wait for his story to be told.
Blaise wants to be the last single man in his friend group – lot of money riding on it. Hadley is the wife/husband finder. They are both leery of love and determined to stay single. In the end will the finder become the findee and will Blaise win the bet or her heart? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

While I have liked other books by this author, I have not ever enjoyed one as much as The Wife Finder.
Blase is the type of hero who is hard to write well – based on what I’ve seen in other books. He comes across as harsh and uncaring to others, his board has warned him that he needs to change his image. And he isn’t really sure why. But Melissa McClone managed to show enough of his heart to make me like him. A lot!
And Hadley. She came across in a similar manner until I saw her hurt and fear of being hurt again.
This is a story that engaged all my emotions. I laughed out loud in so many parts, held back tears, was angry at Blase, and cheered for the ending.

What a great start to this new series! Blaise and Hadley are both workaholics, with little time for themselves and definitely not looking for romance…at least for themselves! Hadley’s career as a matchmaker makes her the perfect person to help Blaise win a bet between himself and his friends. But the sparks that fly between the two is a wrinkle neither one of them expects.
Honestly, Blaise was a bit frustrating for me at times. While a certain amount of arrogance is expected for your average billionaire, his insistence on secretly setting up his friends with potential wives, just to win a bet, had him straddling my tolerance line.
Hadley was sweet and strong and, for the most part, didn’t let Blaise get away with being high-handed. She sees a different side of him, when he interacts with her family and his friends, than the stubborn, driven must-win businessman. While that hidden side won her over, it won over this reader as well.
I loved the friendship between Blaise and his boys…a great bromance adds a positive aspect to any good leading man. Fun, flirty and very sweet, Blaise and Hadley are a couple to cheer for!
This is an excellent book. Melissa keeps outdoing herself.
Blaise who is a self made billionaire vows he is not worthy of being in love. He makes a bet with his friends to see who the ,last man standing will be. Blaise loves to win at everything he does. With Henry’s suggestion he hires Hadley to find the other two friends who still haven’t married to find them a spouse.
Hadley runs her business like the military. Blaise has to give in and go meet her. In Hadley’s world she is all business. She tells Blaise she will consider it. Can they break the cycle. Will they fall for each other or will she find his friends their wives first. Blaise hates losing.
You must read to find out!
Blaise and his friends have a bet to see who will remain single the longest. Blaise is determined to win. Used to getting his way on most things, he decides to hire a matchmaker to find wives for his remaining single friends in the bet. Enter Hadley. Blaise has met his match in more ways than one. The book hits on all the emotions. There is enough chemistry with the couple to make you want them together. I read it very quickly and enjoyed all of it. I’m looking forward to more stories about the remaining bachelors. All the characters were interesting and I want to know more. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Melissa knocked this one out of the park! I was hooked from the very beginning and did not want to put it down. A very different storyline, and I wasn’t sure how it would go, but this is one of my favorites that she has written and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

When ego and abandonment issues collide, you get Blaise. Not a fan of him, really. I get why Melissa wrote him that way. For the purposes of the book, he HAD to be that way. And I understand WHY he was the way he was, but Lawdy, for the first few chapters I wanted to reach through the book and Gibb’s smack him. Repeatedly. He held on to his ego far too long.
And Hadley. I see alot of myself in her character. When you are used to doing for everyone, having others do for you is hard. Especially when you are sick as a dog. But at least she didn’t allow ego to step in her way when it came to helping her sister and niece and nephew. And she genuinely has a good heart while trying to make the matches for her clients. Ensuring that the person they commit to will be the perfect person for them.
Watching the subterfuge become non-subterfuge was enjoyable. I like that Blaise’s friends want to support him, and as a by-product, support Hadley. I think that group of guys is fantastic and I can’t wait to read Wes’ story. My heart really went out to him. Dash’s story will probably be hilarious since, while an actual grown adult, he reminds me of my teenage son, so he acts like. His future partner (Iris?) will need to ensure she supports that in him. And I hope that Fallon gets her own story too. That woman went through heck and deserves her own HEA!
The Wife Finder by Melissa McClone is the First book in The Billionaires of Silicon Forest Series. This is the story of Hadley Lowell and Blaise Mortenson.
Blaise and his friends end up making a bet on who will be the last one standing and keeping to their single life. Blaise is told about Hadley who is a professional matchmaker who he thinks will help him bring down his friends into marriage. But what he didn’t count on was the attraction he would be having towards her and his feelings. But Blaise is trying to stay strong but the more he interacts with her the more he can’t resist her. Hadley works to be all business but she doesn’t put up with his attitude and she too isn’t into dating clients but the attraction might be too much to walk away from.
This was a fun read and a great start to this series.
Blaise needs to win, always. And to win a bet he needs to finds wifes for two of his best friends. Hadley is the woman he needs as she is a professional matchmaker. But how can he do that without his friends finding out? He convinces her to pretend to be his girlfriend. Hadley, always playing by her own rules, gives in… And that is the start of a great story.
I loved this story. The main characters had to learn that you can’t always plans you life. And not everyone is the way he/she shows the world.
I can’t wait to read the other stories of these group of friends.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As Blaise, Wes and Dash prepare for the garter toss at their friend Mason’s wedding, Blaise decides that in order to be the last single one of their group and win the bet he needs to take some drastic measures.
With the help of Henry Davenport, who is sort of responsible for matches within his group, Blaise sets out to find matches for Wes and Dash.
Hadley Lowell has some strict conditions to her matchmaking business and she doesn’t ever make exceptions. That’s something Blaise isn’t used to, nobody ever says no to him. However Hadley does so repeatedly.
Blaise decides to push things along and travels a day earlier than Hadley had the time for him. He’s determined to have this interview and be back to business as usual the next morning.
Boy was he in for a surprise.
What ensues is an interesting romp with Hadley and her niece and nephew. I laughed so much as Blaise is thwarted at every turn.
When Hadley finally agrees to try to match up Wes and Dash, she ends up in a situation that is both comedic and romantic.
This is a complicated, fun and thoroughly enjoyable read with just the right amount of sizzle.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
