When it comes to love, all bets are off… attraction to the gorgeous, demanding matchmaker.
Hadley runs her business like a clandestine military op, precisely controlling every feasible outcome. But falling for a client? That was a possibility she never saw coming. Blaise’s drive, determination, and the softer side he tries to hide from the world appeals to her on a gut-deep level—but while her matchmaking success rate is unbeatable, finding love for herself has been nearly impossible. There’s no way her happily ever after could come in the form of a tech billionaire who isn’t even looking for love…is there?

I love Melissa’s books and this one did not disappoint. Six billionaire friends making a bet as to who would be the last man standing without being married. Blaise is determined to win this bet. He hires matchmaker, Hadley, to put his plan to work to get his last two friends married off. Hadley plays strictly by the book, not getting involved with clients. Can she be successful in finding matches for his two friends? Can she be professional and separate business and possible feelings for Blaise? Sometimes love can happen when you least expect it no matter how hard you try to resist those temptations. You will have to read this wonderful book to see if Hadley can accomplish what she was hired to do. I highly recommend this book. I was given an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for my unbiased review.
“I loved this book so much! Not going to lie, wasn’t really sure if I was going to like it because it is a little different than what I normally read, but so glad I gave it a chance!!! I should have known I would have like it because there hasn’t been a Melissa McClone book that I haven’t liked!!!”
Redemption, second chances, romance and all the feels. Wonderful start to a new series. The characters are fabulous, from the mains to the supporting cast. Great read.
Blaise and his billionaire friends have a standing bet. Whoever marries loses and last man standing takes all. With three men down and two to go, he’s determined to win. At a friends suggestion he hires Hadley, a very successful matchmaker to help him marry off his last two single friends. Hadley doesn’t date clients and he is trying to keep as far away from catching feelings as possible. What could go wrong?
This book was so fun! I loved watching Blaise and Hadley dance around their obvious mutual attraction. Blaise was such stubborn man who thought he knew it all and it bordered on annoying at times. Thankfully he walked the walk more than he talked the talk when it came to his reluctant feelings for Hadley. Hadley was great! She was strong and stood up to Blaise and never took any of his crap. As much as both MCs didn’t want anything romantic with each other (and I sometimes wanted to smack them both upside the head to get their act together) you could clearly see they were meant to be and it was so easy to root for them.
The Wife Finder puts emotions on full display without being too obvious about it. McClone ups her game with more laughter, double the heart and a ton of romance. Blaise and Hadley are a match made in heartache. He’s a heartbreaker with a sensitive side. She’s has a need for control and a yearning for love. He needs her. She wants him. When business becomes a pleasurable experience will pain become their downfall? Blaise and Hadley are all heart. Sweet, sentimental, stunning, storytelling.
Melissa McClone is a new author to me, so I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading The Wife Finder. It was a good story, the characters were fun. Blaise has hired Hadley to set up his billionaire friends with love matches.
Nothing goes quite according to plan… obviously, but watching these two fall in love was sweet and heartfelt. I need to catch up with the previous stories in this series and will be doing that shortly.
This romance was fun to read. I liked how Hadley mostly kept to her rules, and how Blaise the billionaire kept having to abide by them, much to his surprise. I also enjoyed seeing how Blaise reacted to Hadley’s niece and nephew. Although he wanted to make the kids happy, he wasn’t as self-assured as in other situations. This made him easier to relate to for the reader and for Hadley. Blaise’s set of friends and their close relationships added a depth to the story outside of the romance, even though it had a lot to do with it. The road to the HEA has some bumps along the way, but it is well worth getting to. There’s also a great epilogue. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. I would recommend this to readers of clean/wholesome romance and to billionaire romance readers. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this delightful romance.
Not your usual matchmaker romance. This story was sooo much better!! I feel in LOVE with Hadley! She was so real and relatable and She was also strong and stood her ground when needed. Sometimes I wanted to slap Blaise upside the head but he really had his sweet moments too. One of my favorite parts was when Blaise came to Hadley’s rescue when she needed him to. This story was fun and sweet and very down to earth and relatable. I LOVED it!!
