Has a great twist at the end
I didn’t care for this book. I liked it at first, but there were too many twists. It became boring and dragged on way too long. It was pretty predictable also. Although the epilogue did throw me – I wasn’t expecting that twist.
I couldn’t put this down from the first page on, I was hooked! I loved Anonymous Girl as well. I’m looking forward to the new novel out soon.
This book Will keep you guessing.
Intricately woven characters moving through a complex and very disturbing story. Very well written. In some places, Too true to life for comfort.
Enjoyable and unusual. A little far-fetched, especially the last part. But I would still recommend it.
Keeps u wanting to see what happens. Could not wait to see how it ends
Overall, it was a good read. Things got somewhat twisted and confusing. You have to pay attention or you will really get off track. There were a few times that I had to go back and re-read something that didn’t completely make sense. It does suck you in but there are moments your mind is like wtf, i need a break!
It was a roller coaster. At times, I got dizzy and wanted off the ride. Also, at times, I hated it. I know that contradicts my first statement. The many twists and turns were both an advantage and a disadvantage. I enjoy books that make my head spin but this was a bit way too much!
If you love books that also invoke feelings of confusion, excitement, suspense, hate and several other emotions, this one is for you.
Without giving away any spoilers, I came into this book wanting so many more of the classical elements that make a psychological thriller so un-put-down-able. I was hoping for something along the lines of Gone Girl, with lots of surprises and secrets, and I didn’t quite find that in these pages. Some of the twists other reviewers mention I predicted very early on (I am normally the worst at predicting twists!), and I found I was more engaged earlier on in the story (Part 1 is by far the strongest part of the book). This has more of a slow burn than some psychological thrillers, which may not be for everybody, but I will say the audiobook was well done if you’re getting ready for a long car trip!
Developed characters; interpersonal relationships in question throughout with twists along the way. Important to read til the end. Kept me interested.
Gripping stuff!
This book has a surprising twist at the end that I did not expect. A good read that kept me interested all the way to the end.
I had been wanting to read this book because I kept hearing good things about it. I happened to see the audio version on the Hoopla app from my library so I decided to listen to it while I cross stitched. This was a great book. Several twists kept me guessing, and of course I thought I had it all figured out…several times. I didn’t. I never saw the end coming. That’s all I’m going to say about the story itself so I don’t give anything away. After the book was done there was a chat between the 2 authors. That was a nice bonus.
I had to really pay attention. If i was interrupted while reading, i had to go back & re-read in order to keep up with the story and to understand whats going on.
Just when you think you know these characters you don’t. There are so many twists and turns to these main characters you will want to read the book in one setting!
This has been on my Kindle for a long time, and what kept me from reading it was I wasn’t in the mood for another gaslight relationship story. Which this is, but with a twist.
This book was quite a ride with multiple plot twists. I love psychological thrillers, and this one was unlike any other I have read. I have to admit this one started a bit uneven for me. I felt confused in that sense of “something’s really off here.” And it was, as you learn in the first reveal. But that helped me regain some footing and go on to enjoy the rest of the book. There are several twists, some I expected and one in particular that (pleasantly) surprised me. Fascinating and enjoyable book.
Another great book that will keep you turning pages till it’s finished
Let me first say I really like this book. That said there was a bit more repetitiveness than was necessary. At one point I got so frustrated with it that I almost just skipped to the last few chapters. So authors, editors if you read this please note that after we have heard the same story more than twice we are over it.
You should listen/read this book. Excellent story line just be prepared for the repetitive nature.
Read this in a book club, none of us saw the ending coming. great plot twist if you stick to it.
Great twists, love books like that.
